Ítem Aceleradoras corporativas exitosas (contexto latinoamericano) : análisis de los modelos, capacidades estratégicas y recursos claves, en una región con desafíos y complejidades propias. Un estudio de mercado emergente(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Gómez Jiménez, Sara; Hincapie Romero, Katherine; Betancur Álvarez, José AlejandroThis research intends to explore the corporate acceleration models of leading companies in Latin America. The study of these cases seeks to increase readers' understanding of the strategy, approach and strategic capabilities that are making these corporate accelerators successful and sustainable amid Latin American market particularities. This business research was developed under a qualitative research framework, using semi-structured interviews and secondary information such as documents, presentations, and reports of the analyzed companies. The study was divided into four fundamental phases in the research process and had a scope in the Latin American region, taking Mexico, Brazil, Chile, and Colombia as reference countries. The main results of this analysis present a general characterization of the accelerators analyzed and make an exhaustive review of their way of working with special emphasis on their main unique differentials. It is expected that these results will contribute to those corporations that want to implement their acceleration model, and also to those companies that already have an acceleration model implemented and want to reference it in order to find possible opportunities for improvement. In addition, this document contributes to knowledge generation for future research and the development of a new methodology to improve the quality of corporate acceleration models.Ítem Capacidades dinámicas basadas en conocimiento para el crecimiento Scaleup : experiencia Netux(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) González Arias, Antonio; Díez Gaviria, Ana CeciliaÍtem Conocimientos y prácticas de un grupo de agricultores de bija de Chintadó, Chocó : una mirada desde la teoría de creación de conocimiento organizacional(2019) Quintero Lemos, Jairo Elíecer; Uribe de Correa, Beatriz Amparo; Díez Gaviria, Ana CeciliaAbstract Objective – To understand knowledge creation of a group of annatto farmers from the Chintadó community, in Chocó through the exploration of practices and knowledge that the group has built in the agricultural practice that characterizes annatto production. Design / methodology / approach - To understand the knowledge creation process of the group of annatto farmers from Chintadó, their practices and knowledge were explored through observation and construction of the group’s oral history under a qualitative micro ethnographic approach. The data were analyzed and presented under the gaze of the Theory of Organizational Knowledge Creation. Findings - The group creates knowledge through the uninterrupted exchange of tacit knowledge, oral tradition and community life. Agents outside the group such as government entities, NGOs and annatto marketers play decisive roles in the group's combination phase. The group’s knowledge creation process gives indications of it being a capacity that allows its members to survive in an adverse socio-economic context. However, there are context-specific limitations that prevent the creation of knowledge from materializing in innovations that generate socio-economic development for the group and the community to which it belongs. Limitations / implications of research - The study does not offer an exploration of all the practices and technical knowledge of the group. Time and public order limitations restricted the deepening of some aspects of field work. Originality / value - the study is the first one that provides an explanation of a socio-economic reality of a particular context such as Chocó, in Colombia under the view of the Organizational Knowledge Creation Theory.Ítem Contribución de las prácticas de innovación abierta a la superación del valle de la muerte, en proyectos de innovación de Medellín : caso de estudio(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Ruiz Montes, Sebastián; Arango Gaviria, David; Yepes Callejas, Edgar RenéThere are multiple studies related with the phenomenon known as the death valley (a bottleneck that delays the development of R+D+i after the experimental development phases prior to the formal new product development) its factors and impact on the innovation process, however there is little in-depth treatment of the relationship of the death valley with open innovation and its practices. This work aims to explore the open innovation practices and its contribution to overcoming the main barriers of the death valley in two projects of open innovation in the city of Medellín. The research starts with a literature review that allows the exploration of different stances and definitions of open innovation practices, the innovation process and the death valley phenomenon and its factors. Subsequently, a case study methodology is applied using semistructured interviews as a data collection tool where two innovation projects from an organization from Medellin are selected with the criteria that one of the projects should have successfully overcome the valley of death phase, while the other did not. The collected information was analyzed with the objective of identifying and characterizing the manifestation of the death valley factors as well as the open innovation practices used in each one of the projects. A causal analysis was then performed allowing the identification of relationships between the employed innovation practices and the death valley factors that were characterized in the cases.Ítem Creación de conocimiento experto en el grupo de terapia de Oxigenación por Membrana Extracorpórea (ECMO) de la Clínica Cardio VID(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Cadavid González, Ana María; Díez Gaviria, Ana CeciliaÍtem Creación del conocimiento a partir del diseño del espacio de trabajo(Universidad Eafit, 2020) García Romero, Nakary; Henao Cálad, MónicaOrganizations face highly complex challenges that increasingly require more innovation and creativity to stand out in the market. One of the factors that have been of great influence when it comes to innovating are the workspaces, since these are considered as the tangible physical environment where people collaborate, create and exchange knowledge to provide immediate solutions to organizations. These are considered as interaction fields that can interfere in people’s activities, in their brain processes and even in social interaction, in various ways. In this sense, this research has focused on analyzing the characteristics that workspaces have to promote the necessary conditions for the creation of organizational knowledge. Within the exposed framework, this study was focused on the analysis and connection of two central topics such as Neuroarchitecture and the Theory of organizational knowledge creation, based on the Williams’ sensorial properties principles (2013) and its variables, such as comfort, sight, sound, spaciousness, movement and vitality. These entities being influencers in the disposition of people and in their relationships at BA creation, their knowledge conversion processes, and the types of knowledge created there, based on the concepts defined by Nonaka and Takeuchi (1995). These concepts were key to understanding how work teams, their behaviors and emotions are the main source in the knowledge creation process and its transfer to the organizational level. Based on above and the findings obtained from the bibliographic analysis, it has been fundamental for the investigation, the analysis of the variety of authors, case studies from other organizations and the different approaches to understand the enormous importance of work environments and how companies should establish design guidelines to enhance the creation of organizational knowledge, starting from a diagnosis that allows collecting relevant information to meet the main objective of the workspaces, which will impact and transform the organization.Ítem Cultura de innovación en organizaciones de arquitectura y diseño de paisaje en Medellín(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Cano Bedoya, Carlos Alberto; Gentilin, MarianoÍtem Cultura de innovación y conocimiento(Universidad EAFIT, 2019-09-13) López Quiroga, Arianna Yamile; Roldán Guerrero, Marcela; Henao Cálad, MónicaCulture is part of the core of an organization and is based on the values, beliefs, rites, symbols and attitudes of each of the people who make it up individually and in groups. Having said the above, this work focuses on understanding the current organizational culture, to identify the necessary elements and evolve towards a culture that responds easily and quickly to the challenges faced by organizations at the level of skills, competence, needs of the client, creation of new businesses, etc. It is there that the culture of innovation and knowledge is recognized as an integral culture and ideal ingredient, at the organizational level, to achieve the strategic objectives. In the same way, a proposal is raised to incorporate the culture of innovation and knowledge in the organizations, however the viability of that is subject to the existing culture. The work is presented in the following chapters: in the first one a description of the problem statement is made; the second chapter is formed by the theoretical framework, which identifies: concepts, characteristics, elements, models and indicators of organizational culture, knowledge and innovation, which allow the definition of relation and integration between these cultures. On the other hand, in the third chapter, the methodology framed in the literature reference search is detailed, which has three moments: planning, review and report of the results obtained. The above is intended to highlight the existence or not of bibliographic material, where the culture of innovation and knowledge is formulated and finalized with a proposal to implement a culture of innovation and knowledge. In the fourth chapter, this proposal is divided into two fronts of action: one for the creation of a culture of knowledge and innovation and another for monitoring this cultural creation. It should be added that, at the end of this chapter, the arguments, values, traits and benefits are consolidated in response to a strategic apex at the time of implementing the proposal. It is relevant to identify that at this point in the work a reference activity was carried out with two companies of the metropolitan area. The first one, Tronex, is immersed in an activity of cultural transformation. And the second one, Grupo Afín Farmaceútica, born with the conviction and ideology of being different, therefore, is framed in a philosophy of culture that creates attitudes to meet that scope. This activity is part of the methodology and learning of it, which allowed for a compilation of practices. This has motivated different types of institutions to implement knowledge management strategies, in order to strengthen competitive advantages, innovation and thus obtain growth. However, in some entities the way of managing knowledge is done in a reductionist and linear way, without considering that knowledge is a social, complex construction, between people and groups. This motivated the investigation, broadening the perspective of using systems analysis techniques to support knowledge management. This research seeks to identify the dynamics of knowledge in food production processes of the Corporación Country Club Ejecutivos from a systemic perspective so that this knowledge can be managed effectively. The research was initially based on the review of the literature, with the aim of finding the usefulness that represents the application of the systems analysis techniques in knowledge management, after defining the system to be studied: the area of food production of Corporación Country Club Ejecutivos (CCCE), the main variables affecting the dynamics of knowledge in this system were identified, later the interactions between variables and the loops that emerge were found, given that they provide the greatest complexity, and consequently a diagram of causal relationships that facilitates the understanding of the dynamics of knowledge of the organization. This contribution would serve to implement better knowledge management strategies to the reality of the organization.Ítem Diseño de un ecosistema de aprendizaje como habilitador estratégico : caso Dilaser(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Suanca-Restrepo, Daniela; Gamboa Urrego, AlejandroÍtem Ecosistema de aprendizaje como habilitador estratégico en Botero Soto Soluciones Logísticas(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Córdoba Romero, María Alejandra; Gamboa Urrego, AlejandroÍtem Efecto de la gestión del conocimiento organizacional en la innovación(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) González Vásquez, María Antonia; Sánchez Fernández, Carolina; Osorio Montoya, Barbara PatriciaOrganizational Knowledge is a collective set of learnings and practices within an organization; It is information, skills, and experiences, which allows adequate responses to situations and enables organizations. Managing organizational knowledge is arranging and optimizing it, which includes planning and controlling; also, it requires efforts to make organizations acquire, store, measure and use it, in a way which impacts as expected in the organization or society. This research paper aims to identify the actions and practices of knowledge management and the results of innovation to finally describe the relation between the practices of knowledge management and the contexts of the organizations that generate innovation results. The research reviewed theories and conceptual positions of knowledge management, results of innovation and the ways of measuring innovation; to contrast these with a field work that identifies reviewed theories and conceptual positions in the day-to-day practice of organizations in Colombia. The analysis indicates that the service sector, focusses its knowledge management efforts mainly on people and strategic alignment in order to produce innovative solutions; Meanwhile the industrial sector focuses its efforts on process and people, aiming for innovation in the production processes. Finally, the study is complemented by an interview questionnaire form that can be used on further and future studies with larger samples.Ítem Un estado del arte sobre el conocimiento tácito de los grupos(Universidad EAFIT, 2016) Diez Gaviria, Ana Cecilia; Uribe Ochoa, BeatrízDesde la teoría de creación de conocimiento organizacional, se plantean diferentes tipos de conocimiento: el individual, el grupal y el organizacional, los cuales pueden ser tácitos o explícitos -- Teniendo en cuenta que todo conocimiento es socialmente construido, que es relacional y colectivo, los grupos en la organización ocupan un lugar importante para la creación y expansión del conocimiento -- El conocimiento tácito grupal, brinda posibilidades para que el grupo pueda desarrollar acciones para enfrentar la incertidumbre, resolver problemas, anticipar situaciones críticas y generar innovación -- No obstante, lo anterior, este tipo de conocimiento no ha sido lo suficientemente abordado y profundizado teórica, conceptual y metodológicamente para su gestión -- En el presente estado del arte se describen conceptualmente las características del conocimiento tácito grupal en la organización y se contribuye con la comprensión y sentido que tiene el grupo como colectivo social, el lugar que ocupa en la creación y amplificación del conocimiento organizacional -- Asimismo el presente estado del arte, contribuye a la fundamentación conceptual de la investigación Niveles de Calidad del Conocimiento Tácito de un GrupoPublicación Estilo de liderazgo percibido y competencias básicas de trabajo autopercibidas : un estudio exploratorio en equipos orientados a la generación de conocimiento e innovación(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Mendoza Arboleda, Mariana; Vahos Pérez, Sara Cristina; López Gallego, Francisco DaríoThe objective of this thesis was to compare the leadership style perceived by members of teams oriented toward knowledge generation and innovation with their self-perceived level of development in core work competencies. This study focused on three organizations in Medellín: Choucair Testing, Autolarte, and the Centro de Valor Público at Universidad EAFIT. Through an adaptation of the Managerial Grid Model questionnaire by Blake and Mouton (1964) and the Soft Skills Inventory by Muñoz (2013), the perceptions of team members regarding their leaders' leadership style and their self-assessment in competencies such as communication, teamwork, conflict management, decision-making, delegation, leadership, and time management were analyzed. The results revealed differences in leadership perception and self-perceived core work competencies among the teams in the organizations studied. Competencies such as communication and teamwork were self-perceived as the most developed, while time management and delegation showed lower levels of self-perception. These differences reflect the distinct leadership dynamics observed in each organizational context. This exploratory study may offer recommendations for leaders and teams focused on knowledge generation and innovation to review and improve their leadership practices.Ítem Estrategia de conocimiento para un equipo de manejo de situaciones de crisis : el caso de una entidad financiera en Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Coba Ardila, Laura Milena; Díez Gaviria, Ana CeciliaÍtem Estrategia para la creación de conocimiento interorganizacional en los procesos de innovación abierta(Universidad Eafit, 2020) Jaramillo Vélez, Daniela; Henao Calad, MónicaIn an environment where knowledge abounds, where innovative ideas and critical knowledge for innovation is found outside the organization, it is necessary to involve external knowledge and ideas in order to diversify and grow the organizational knowledge base, and apply it within the organization for actual business development and innovation (Chesbrough, 2003). Open innovation emerges as the response to the new knowledge dynamics, which forces organizations to change their management systems and focus on knowledge management inside and outside the firm, a task that hasn’t been easy because of the challenges that implies. This research aims to understand the real business dynamics of open innovation, identify the knowledge gaps to successfully carry out these projects and have an academic perspective that covers the knowledge gaps and the solution to the current barriers that arise in these projects, in order to propose a strategy for the creation of organizational knowledge in open innovation projects.Ítem Una estrategia para potenciar la creatividad de las comunidades maker a partir del conocimiento tradicional de prácticas artesanales en Medellín(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Rodriguez-Andrades, Greysy Yolima; Diez Gaviria, Ana CeciliaÍtem Estrategias para el desarrollo de capacidades de innovación en PYMES del Valle de Aburrá(Universidad Eafit, 2020) Restrepo Palacio, Ricardo León; Romero Hurtado, Luis Félix; Osorio, BárbaraInnovating involves many challenges as well as developing innovation capabilities. Studies affirm that SMEs are at a disadvantage in terms of resources and capabilities compared to large incorporated companies, leading them to live from day to day and not anticipate market changes. The purpose of this work was to propose strategies for the development of innovation capabilities in SMEs in the Aburrá Valley, in order to bringing these small and medium-sized companies to maintain and modify their conditions of sustainability in the market. For this, an exploration of literature and a field work were done what provided the necessary foundations to carry out the intended proposal. The findings obtained led to the formulation of two strategies for the development of innovation capabilities in SMEs in the Aburrá Valley. One of them is focused on the operational action of this type of organization, preparing the conditions of possibility for the second strategy, focused on the long term and preparing the company for changes. One complements the other. Both strategies lead to the development of innovation capabilities in this segment of companies that requires boosting innovation and thus having a more systematic competitive performance
