Ítem Aceleradoras corporativas exitosas (contexto latinoamericano) : análisis de los modelos, capacidades estratégicas y recursos claves, en una región con desafíos y complejidades propias. Un estudio de mercado emergente(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Gómez Jiménez, Sara; Hincapie Romero, Katherine; Betancur Álvarez, José AlejandroThis research intends to explore the corporate acceleration models of leading companies in Latin America. The study of these cases seeks to increase readers' understanding of the strategy, approach and strategic capabilities that are making these corporate accelerators successful and sustainable amid Latin American market particularities. This business research was developed under a qualitative research framework, using semi-structured interviews and secondary information such as documents, presentations, and reports of the analyzed companies. The study was divided into four fundamental phases in the research process and had a scope in the Latin American region, taking Mexico, Brazil, Chile, and Colombia as reference countries. The main results of this analysis present a general characterization of the accelerators analyzed and make an exhaustive review of their way of working with special emphasis on their main unique differentials. It is expected that these results will contribute to those corporations that want to implement their acceleration model, and also to those companies that already have an acceleration model implemented and want to reference it in order to find possible opportunities for improvement. A.(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Castellanos Gómez, Alba Inés; Vélez Cuartas, Gabriel JaimeThe impact evaluation represents a topic of interest to all project executors, whether they are public or private or belong to any sector; since it allows to identify the positive or negative effects, that as consequences of their actions, are produced in the economy, the environment or the society in general; for the development of a project. These effects indicate how the projects are being managed and if they are obtaining the expected results; but these must be measured by indicators, which require monitoring and evaluation to estimate the degree of impact generated. Social Innovation Projects such as those carried out by the U. de A., due to their nature and purpose, are aimed at generating impact; however, given that this is a complex issue, there are no specific methodologies to estimate it. Therefore, the present study seeks to make an approach to a methodology that allows the U. de A. to carry out an evaluation of the management of its impacts; which starts from the definition of dimensions and nominal variables that explain the process of Social Innovation; the construction of indicators and an analysis method to weigh or establish their incidence in the impact that the Social Innovation project can generate; and likewise, carry out the evaluation in a more coherent and reliable way.Ítem Aumento del desempeño organizacional a través del intercambio de conocimiento entre equipos de trabajo : caso Vicepresidencia de Tecnología (VSTI), Bancolombia(Universidad Eafit, 2020) Rendón Dederlé, Andrés Felipe; Cuervo Ocampo, Juan EstebanÍtem Capacidades de innovación que impulsan el desempeño en startups : estudio de caso múltiple en Medellín(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Salinas Lotero, Manuela; Vásquez Jiménez, Carlos FedericoIn this degree work the concepts of startups, innovation, dynamic capabilities, innovation capabilities and organizational performance are defined, from which field work was conducted using as a data collection tool a literature review and semi-structured interviews with five companies, to analyze whether what was found in the literature is related to the interviews conducted. The above seeks to identify the innovation capabilities that drive the performance of startups in Medellin.Ítem Capacidades dinámicas basadas en conocimiento para el crecimiento Scaleup : experiencia Netux(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) González Arias, Antonio; Díez Gaviria, Ana CeciliaÍtem Chief innovation officer para organizaciones en la ciudad de Medellín : una mirada desde las capacidades dinámicas(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Villegas-Navarro, Sebastián; Franco Restrepo, Alejandro; Álvarez Mesa, CatalinaÍtem Conocer como práctica en un intraemprendimiento(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Botero Toro, Alejandra; Diez Gaviria, Ana CeciliaÍtem El conocimiento organizacional en emprendimientos de base tecnológica : una exploración de los conocimientos organizacionales críticos para aumentar la probabilidad de éxito(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Pérez Marulanda, Juan Camilo; Díez Gaviria, Ana CeciliaÍtem Conocimientos y prácticas de un grupo de agricultores de bija de Chintadó, Chocó : una mirada desde la teoría de creación de conocimiento organizacional(2019) Quintero Lemos, Jairo Elíecer; Uribe de Correa, Beatriz Amparo; Díez Gaviria, Ana CeciliaAbstract Objective – To understand knowledge creation of a group of annatto farmers from the Chintadó community, in Chocó through the exploration of practices and knowledge that the group has built in the agricultural practice that characterizes annatto production. Design / methodology / approach - To understand the knowledge creation process of the group of annatto farmers from Chintadó, their practices and knowledge were explored through observation and construction of the group’s oral history under a qualitative micro ethnographic approach. The data were analyzed and presented under the gaze of the Theory of Organizational Knowledge Creation. Findings - The group creates knowledge through the uninterrupted exchange of tacit knowledge, oral tradition and community life. Agents outside the group such as government entities, NGOs and annatto marketers play decisive roles in the group's combination phase. The group’s knowledge creation process gives indications of it being a capacity that allows its members to survive in an adverse socio-economic context. However, there are context-specific limitations that prevent the creation of knowledge from materializing in innovations that generate socio-economic development for the group and the community to which it belongs. Limitations / implications of research - The study does not offer an exploration of all the practices and technical knowledge of the group. Time and public order limitations restricted the deepening of some aspects of field work. Originality / value - the study is the first one that provides an explanation of a socio-economic reality of a particular context such as Chocó, in Colombia under the view of the Organizational Knowledge Creation Theory.Ítem Contribución de las prácticas de innovación abierta a la superación del valle de la muerte, en proyectos de innovación de Medellín : caso de estudio(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Ruiz Montes, Sebastián; Arango Gaviria, David; Yepes Callejas, Edgar RenéThere are multiple studies related with the phenomenon known as the death valley (a bottleneck that delays the development of R+D+i after the experimental development phases prior to the formal new product development) its factors and impact on the innovation process, however there is little in-depth treatment of the relationship of the death valley with open innovation and its practices. This work aims to explore the open innovation practices and its contribution to overcoming the main barriers of the death valley in two projects of open innovation in the city of Medellín. The research starts with a literature review that allows the exploration of different stances and definitions of open innovation practices, the innovation process and the death valley phenomenon and its factors. Subsequently, a case study methodology is applied using semistructured interviews as a data collection tool where two innovation projects from an organization from Medellin are selected with the criteria that one of the projects should have successfully overcome the valley of death phase, while the other did not. The collected information was analyzed with the objective of identifying and characterizing the manifestation of the death valley factors as well as the open innovation practices used in each one of the projects. A causal analysis was then performed allowing the identification of relationships between the employed innovation practices and the death valley factors that were characterized in the cases.Ítem Creación de conocimiento experto en el grupo de terapia de Oxigenación por Membrana Extracorpórea (ECMO) de la Clínica Cardio VID(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Cadavid González, Ana María; Díez Gaviria, Ana CeciliaÍtem Creación del conocimiento a partir del diseño del espacio de trabajo(Universidad Eafit, 2020) García Romero, Nakary; Henao Cálad, MónicaOrganizations face highly complex challenges that increasingly require more innovation and creativity to stand out in the market. One of the factors that have been of great influence when it comes to innovating are the workspaces, since these are considered as the tangible physical environment where people collaborate, create and exchange knowledge to provide immediate solutions to organizations. These are considered as interaction fields that can interfere in people’s activities, in their brain processes and even in social interaction, in various ways. In this sense, this research has focused on analyzing the characteristics that workspaces have to promote the necessary conditions for the creation of organizational knowledge. Within the exposed framework, this study was focused on the analysis and connection of two central topics such as Neuroarchitecture and the Theory of organizational knowledge creation, based on the Williams’ sensorial properties principles (2013) and its variables, such as comfort, sight, sound, spaciousness, movement and vitality. These entities being influencers in the disposition of people and in their relationships at BA creation, their knowledge conversion processes, and the types of knowledge created there, based on the concepts defined by Nonaka and Takeuchi (1995). These concepts were key to understanding how work teams, their behaviors and emotions are the main source in the knowledge creation process and its transfer to the organizational level. Based on above and the findings obtained from the bibliographic analysis, it has been fundamental for the investigation, the analysis of the variety of authors, case studies from other organizations and the different approaches to understand the enormous importance of work environments and how companies should establish design guidelines to enhance the creation of organizational knowledge, starting from a diagnosis that allows collecting relevant information to meet the main objective of the workspaces, which will impact and transform the organization.Ítem Creación y captura de valor en la innovación abierta aportes del trabajo colaborativo entre la universidad y la empresa en Medellín(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Jiménez Rojas, Maria de los Ángeles; Vásquez Jiménez, Carlos FedericoOpen innovation has been a process that has occurred intrinsically in developed countries with knowledge-based economies. The collaboration of different actors in the innovation systems permits companies to respond faster to the demand of new challenges and to create and capture value to gain a competitive advantage. In Latin America, open innovation has been implemented recently to strengthen regional innovation systems. Medellin, Colombia, has gained particular interest as an innovation case study, and this city seeks to consolidate itself as the capital of innovation in Latin America. Medellin has several organizations that work together for innovation as a key for economic growth. However, the collaborative work between university and industry (U-I) is not wide enough as expected for different reasons (Ortega y Serna, 2020). In this regard, OECD has recommended that the city must enhance the partnership between universities and enterprises to create and preserve added value (OECD, 2015). This Qualitative research of collective cases allows to know the collaborations, the involved actors and analyzing how to create and capture value on innovation, but also, the value can be captured by the physical and intangible resources such as knowledge. This promote developing of organizational capabilities, within organizational learning orchestrated by technology and knowledge transfer. This research shows the interest of different actors that make up the innovation system of Medellin, other systems, and companies that have not participated in this kind of collaboration. Companies and universities that have done these interactions should communicate them, contributing to creating and capturing value as an innovation objective.Ítem Creación y movilización del conocimiento en el observatorio de juventud de la Secretaría de Juventud de Medellín : un estudio de caso(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Miranda Contreras, Jhon Byron; Botero Saldarriaga, María Camila; Álvarez Mesa, CatalinaThe present degree work of the Master's Degree in Innovation and Knowledge Management focuses on the analysis of the creation and mobilization of knowledge in the Observatory of the Youth Secretariat of the Mayor's Office of the Municipality of Medellín, during the period 2020-2023. Having said the above, this work focuses on understanding the current organizational culture, to identify the necessary elements and evolve towards a culture that responds easily and quickly to the challenges faced by organizations at the level of skills, competence, needs of the client, creation of new businesses, etc. It is there that the culture of innovation and knowledge is recognized as an integral culture and ideal ingredient, at the organizational level, to achieve the strategic objectives. In the same way, a proposal is raised to incorporate the culture of innovation and knowledge in the organizations, however the viability of that is subject to the existing culture. The work is presented in the following chapters: in the first one a description of the problem statement is made; the second chapter is formed by the theoretical framework, which identifies: concepts, characteristics, elements, models and indicators of organizational culture, knowledge and innovation, which allow the definition of relation and integration between these cultures. On the other hand, in the third chapter, the methodology framed in the literature reference search is detailed, which has three moments: planning, review and report of the results obtained. The above is intended to highlight the existence or not of bibliographic material, where the culture of innovation and knowledge is formulated and finalized with a proposal to implement a culture of innovation and knowledge. In the fourth chapter, this proposal is divided into two fronts of action: one for the creation of a culture of knowledge and innovation and another for monitoring this cultural creation. It should be added that, at the end of this chapter, the arguments, values, traits and benefits are consolidated in response to a strategic apex at the time of implementing the proposal. It is relevant to identify that at this point in the work a reference activity was carried out with two companies of the metropolitan area. The first one, Tronex, is immersed in an activity of cultural transformation. And the second one, Grupo Afín Farmaceútica, born with the conviction and ideology of being different, therefore, is framed in a philosophy of culture that creates attitudes to meet that scope. This activity is part of the methodology and learning of it, which allowed for a compilation of practices.
