This master's degree project entitled "Maturity analysis and design of a project management office (PMO) for the company ARGOVAL SAS" seeks to evaluate the level of maturity in the organization's project management and propose the creation of a PMO project office. This with the purpose of standardizing and strengthening project management in the organization, in terms of its main economic activity, optimizing its project execution processes and thus achieving greater satisfaction among its customers and more precise quality control. Currently, ARGOVAL SAS operates without a formal project management office. Instead, it concentrates all operational responsibilities in one project manager, leaving execution in the hands of various coordinators. This organizational model leads to unstructured decision-making, where each individual acts, according to his or her own judgment and discretion. This lack of standardization has led to the need to create a PMO that centralizes best practices and provides an accurate and defined system for project management. The master's degree project proposes the implementation of a Project Management Office (PMO) in the company ARGOVAL SAS, with the aim of improving the management of its industrial projects. Currently, the organization lacks defined standards and procedures, which has impacted the quality of project delivery and sometimes customer losses. The lack of a centralized structure for project management has led to improvised decisions and disjointed execution. Through the PMO, the aim is to establish a roadmap with precise standards in the planning, execution, control and closure of projects, in order to improve efficiency, quality of services and customer perception, in addition to increasing the profitability of the company.

(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Arango Duque, María Isabel; Lopez Gallego, Francisco Darío
In the midst of a changing context from the financial, technological and social fronts, a pool of projects is required to transform organizations in an agile and timely manner, requiring leaders to properly manage the emotions of the people who are in their teams, to contribute to personal-professional balance and quality of life. This research work defined what are the most frequent causes that generate behaviors associated with anxiety in the members of the project teams of a multilatina of the financial sector, this through a mixed study (qualitative and quantitative), with a descriptive and cross-sectional, approach which mixed the information obtained from interviews with project leaders with a characterization of the team members. The main results were: anxiety is higher in projects than in a day-to-day area; leaders are afraid to talk about anxiety, however, there is a lot of interest in learning. The unanimous and quintessential conclusion is that by reducing anxiety in work teams, performance will be maximized.

Contratos de colaboración empresarial para la ejecución de proyectos en Colombia
(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Arroyave Montoya, Jhonatan Darío; Henao Arango, María Cecilia
Business collaboration contracts have different legal regimes, some of which are regulated by Colombian legislation, which are called typical contracts, and others are regulated by Decrees or agreements or are perfected by the simple fact of having the signature of the parties interested in making the contract, which are called atypical. Collaboration between organizations, whether public or private, has a wide range of options to choose the type of contract that best suits them, according to the project to be executed and each of these has the possibility of adapting to the circumstances or needs of the parties. The Commercial Code presents a different vision of the legal business, than the Civil Code, in terms of the criteria and classification of the legal act, which has led the commercial legislator to adopt theories or propose to improve or update some of the rules and laws that exist in the area. Business collaboration contracts are used to develop specific and temporary activities or tasks, which do not have the intention of becoming a permanent commercial partnership, but rather seek to execute large-scale projects, for which it is necessary to minimize risks, in addition to the advantages that come with aspects such as sharing knowledge, technology, assets, tools, machinery and services, among others, with those who meet the proposed objective, which is to complete the work for which they formed the alliance. The case study analyzes an infrastructure project, with the Public-Private Partnership contract, PP.P, which is a model of linking private capital to execute public structures, taking into account the need of the State to offer goods and services for the benefit of the community. The PP.P contract was regulated in the Colombian legal system, under Law 1508 of 2012, in which it is configured as a type of contractual relationship for large-scale works that are executed between the state and private companies. As public initiatives, the formulating entity is responsible for clearly and in detail defining the essential elements for an investment project, such as the community's interest in the project, the needs of the population impacted by the project, the strategies to satisfy them, the objectives and goals. All of this is done in an accurate assessment of the economic, environmental and social benefits that it generates, both for the community and for the state. For these reasons, the state entity must make an adequate analysis of technical alternatives and transactional schemes, in order to achieve the proposed objectives, taking into account everything that involves the affected population and not only the advantages and benefits that the project brings to the nation. This stage is developed with the participation of community representatives, professionals in different disciplines for the awareness stage, their governors, experts with experience in similar projects, companies and entities that are part of the APP and other entities that can make contributions in this phase, since any detailed study or additional information will always help each of these activities to be as truthful as possible, as a way to reduce the risks so that the tasks that have to be executed in the next one are more accurate, that is, so that there are no traumas or unforeseen events that affect the continuity and progress of the project. The APP La Dorada - Chiriguaná project has been executed in compliance with the structuring stages and advancing in the selection process of the successful bidder, so it is essential to ensure transparency and efficiency in the selection stage and the subsequent awarding of the contract to guarantee the success of the project in its implementation phase. It has been necessary to make changes to the schedule due to the high complexity of the project structure, which has been an opportunity for private parties interested in participating to make observations on the specifications that have been incorporated with clear rules for participants in each of the stages of the process.

Estudio de prefactibilidad para la creación de una empresa de limpieza y desinfección en Medellín, Colombia
(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Romero Tenjo, Diana Paola; Gómez Salazar, Elkin Arcesio
The objective of the present degree work is to analyze the pre-feasibility of creating a cleaning and disinfection company in the city of Medellín, through the implementation of the methodology for the preparation and evaluation of Onudi projects, for which a project investment through the detailed analysis of seven studies: sectoral, market, technical, organizational, legal, environmental, financial and risk analysis was developed. The results obtained in each study was framed by the significant changes in consumption habits after the covid-19 pandemic, which was experience worldwide from March 2019 to mid-2020. These changes included habits related to improvements in health and well-being, as well as in consumer promotion channels, where digital transformation forced companies to reinvent themselves to reach their customers through e-commerce. Teleworking allowed for greater connectivity between companies during this isolated period, which led to people spending more time in their homes, so families were encouraged to increase the consumption of cleaning products and to contract cleaning and disinfection services. This habit continued after overcoming the health crisis. In the case of Colombia, companies implemented biosafety protocols according to their economic activity, required by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, which led to an increase in contracting with companies specialized in this field, to comply the required standards and protocols required to resume the face-to-face attendance. The previous panorama allowed an increase in the creation of cleaning service companies in the country, to satisfy not only the current demand in homes, but also in the business environment under new quality and service standards, key points that were taken into account throughout this investigation. Based on the previous studies and in a risk analysis, it is concluded that it is a low-risk project for the investor which makes it viable to execute the project.
