Departamento de Ingeniería de Sistemas; I+D+I en Tecnologías de la Información y las ComunicacionesIn the software industry, product Lines has emerged as an attractive approach to perform planned reuse. Nevertheless, a product line solution is not appropriate for all the cases and requires some conditions to be implemented successfully. The literature offers several contributions regarding the adoption of product lines. However, only a few of these support decision-makers for taking well-informed decisions in favor or against following this approach. This paper presents APPLIES, a framework to (i) detect signals that could motivate an organization to adopt a product line approach (ii) assess to what extent a company is prepared for supporting the practices necessary to adopt a product line. APPLIES is grounded in a thematic analysis of the literature and was preliminarily evaluated with two experts through a survey and an interview. The results of the evaluation provide us insights to create an improved version of the proposal following a design-science method. © 2018 IEEE.Ítem Caracterización sociodemográfica, motivacional y de satisfacción en los mineros de alto y bajo rendimiento de la mina la Margarita, Titiribí (Antioquia) : una prueba piloto(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Jiménez Arismendy, Fabio; López Gallego, Francisco DaríoObjective:To describe the socio-demographic, motivational, and satisfaction level characteristics of high and low-performance subway miners at the La Margarita mine, to have information in a pilot test that allows implementing strategies for improvement of the stakeholders. Motivating the students to learn a systematic design process, designing exercises for them to develop basic competences as Product Design Engineers (PDE) besides that, to include the teaching of values and integrity constitute big challenges in a first year study. This paper exemplifies the union of these two thoughts: how to teach design motivating the student to learn and how to reflect about the human values of the classroom. A pedagogic strategy is formulated and developed in a basic course. Design a standing luminaire inspired by the work of universal character like the Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exuspery. This ongoing project shows how the students are guided to understand their discipline in a design process integrating thought, feeling and doing with an ethics reflection designing with light and meaning. © 2019 Institution of Engineering Designers, The Design Society. Additionally, the lack of motivation to study careers related to physics can be addressed by demonstrating the relevance of this area from early stages of education. Despite not completing the total development of the video game, virtual experiences, including the photoelectric effect experiment, managed to capture the attention and motivate the participants of the tests. It is recommended to expand the study with a larger sample and evaluate the long-term impact of the video game on student learning. This work provides a new perspective on the use of educational technology in teaching quantum physics in secondary education. The document presents the design of an educational video game created with Unity and virtual reality elements to teach concepts of quantum physics in secondary education, evaluating its effectiveness through Keller's Instrumental Material Motivational Survey (IMMS).Ítem Diseño de una estrategia de retención de empleados que pertenecen a la Generación Y, con nivel académico igual o mayor de tecnólogo y que hacen parte de pymes proyectizadas del Eje Cafetero(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Muriel Ramírez, Felipe; Amador Moncada, Emmanuel; Betancur Hurtado, Carlos MarioEmployee retention is a practice that every organization must take into account within its boundaries, since it allows classifying individuals located in important positions within the organization and thus taking actions that are aimed at these profiles and that should remain for its wellbeing. This research is oriented towards Designing retention strategies for Generation Y with an academic level equal to or greater than a technologist who are part of a small to medium-sized company in the (Eje Cafetero) that work by projects, this is supposed to collect information on the reasons for desertion of these positions, Identify the benefits and incentives they use to keep their employees and understand what motivates Generation Y to stay connected to a company. In order to adequately carry out the strategy, field work is carried out not only with managers who occupy high positions, but also with employees at all hierarchical levels, since these strategies are applicable to individuals and not to positions. This methodology was based on the procedures of PMBOK 2021, in which it talks about data collection, and interpretation of the mixed research thereof, in which our frame of reference is based on the most relevant authors in the associated topics such as: González, J. Departamento de Ingeniería de Sistemas; I+D+I en Tecnologías de la Información y las ComunicacionesInitiatives that have brought information and communication technologies into classrooms across the world often struggle to engage the school community to effectively use them. At the same time, involving students in extracurricular activities at school has been demonstrated to bring benefits in student motivation and academic achievement. This paper explores how Colombian K-12 students experience their participation in networks created- both at school and city level-to manage educational technologies in their schools through the lens of self-determination theory. The results suggest that student participation in these networks supports the development of the three psychological needs supporting intrinsic motivation: competence, autonomy, and relatedness. Students feel competent after participating in workshops and learning activities designed to support their responsibilities as members of the network; students feel the need to investigate and become more competent to be able to support teachers, other students, and their own families; students demonstrate autonomy by proposing activities within the network that may benefit their school and the school community; finally, students report changes in their relationship with teachers and other students as they become recognized as providers of technological support to their communities. © Common Ground Research Networks.Ítem Equipos de docentes de alto rendimiento, una metodología dream team en la Institución Educativa Gimnasio la Salada- Segovia, Antioquia(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Marín Hernández, Hilda Natalia; Arboleda Garcés, Milena; López Gallego, Francisco DaríoIn this work the sociodemographic profile, motivational characteristics and the personality traits of teachers considered as the 'high-performance team' in the school La Salada were identified versus the characteristics of teachers that require a greater opportunity for improvement, under the dream team methodology. This trend represents a latent opportunity for future ventures that address this market, achieving the product attributes desired by the consumer. The object of this work is the understanding of the motivators and inhibitors for the consumption of baked products, as well as the prioritization of them and the knowledge of their causes within the most relevant consumer segment, in this case, women from the middle and upper middle class of the city of Medellín between 21 and 34 years old. Baked products are one of the categories with the greatest relevance and growth potential within the healthy basket. This research served to understand the type of motivation associated with the consumption of this type of food, which is a motivation focused on achieving balance between mind, soul and body, to detach from bad eating habits, to move away from industrialized foods and even to have a positive social impact in the community. In addition to this, the main motivators for the consumption of this type of food were identified, such as the contribution to health and nutrition, the freshness reflecting its naturalness, the tranquility of eating bread "without guilt" and finally medical reasons for intolerance to certain ingredients of traditional industrialized bread. It was also found that one of the essential characteristics of this type of product is good taste, since consumers are not willing to sacrifice taste to maintain a healthy diet.Ítem Factores motivacionales de la automedicación con microdosis de Psilocibina(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Rojas Ballesteros, Juliana; Orejuela Gómez, Jonny JavierÍtem Factores motivacionales en el desarrollo efectivo de operaciones BREC, realizadas por el Grupo USAR de la Armada Nacional(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Aranzasu Alarcón, César Augusto; Uribe Botero, Paula; López Gallego, Francisco DaríoÍtem Factores que motivan a los universitarios de Medellín a elegir sus marcas favoritas(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) González González, Paula Andrea; Villegas Gómez, Juliana; Arias Salazar, AlejandroÍtem Favorecimiento de políticas y programas de compensación en las intenciones de permanecer en la organización de cargos de mandos medios de una empresa del sector industrial(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Pabón Labrador, Marcela Lucía; Rámirez Hoyos, Cindy Mirley; Betancur Hurtado, Carlos MarioThe purpose of this document is to demonstrate that the implementation of compensation policies and programs in organizations through the area of human management involves the execution of different strategies through which not only the worker is compensated but, as proposed below, will determine the permanence intentions in this case of workers who hold middle management positions in a company in the industrial sector; Likewise, through this research we will see how these coexist and develop with other policies and factors that play a leading role in the area such as staff retention, motivation and benefits. A perspective is addressed that is aimed at continuing to promote the human management area as a strategic partner of management, based on the fact that workers are the most important part of the organization and at the same time receiving through the information collection method used. valuable data that shows that compensation must be in accordance with the particular needs of the worker; This does not necessarily imply a greater financial expense but rather an in-depth study and analysis to understand its significance. Finally, it is also known that a worker's intentions to remain are supported by the creation and implementation of compensation and benefits policies that show which variables, in turn, would be influencing their intentions to remain or promoting or not promoting their retention in the company. organization.
