For this purpose, a study with a quantitative approach, descriptive scope and non-experimental design is proposed, in which 39 suppliers are evaluated based on their level of risk and importance for the organization. The constructed matrix proposes four categories: strategic (high financial impact – high supply risk), profitable/leveraged (high financial impact – low supply risk), habitual/routine (low financial impact – low supply risk) and critical (low financial impact – high supply risk), recognizing significant differences in terms of their acquisition and relationship logic. The results identify 14 strategic suppliers (69.6% of the annual purchase volume in COP), zero (0) usable (0.0% of the annual purchase volume in COP), six (6) habitual/routine (4.4% of the annual purchase volume in COP) and 19 critical (26.0% of the annual purchase volume in COP). In addition, they allow the formulation of specific supply strategies for each quadrant, according to financial impact and supply risk.Ítem Modelo logístico y de abastecimiento para la compra, almacenamiento y distribución interna de insumos y reactivos en un laboratorio clínico en la ciudad de Medellín, Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Campuzano Zuluaga, Carolina; Escalante Gómez, Juan EstebanThis paper work corresponds to the review of existing literature about the procurement process, logistics and relevant supply at the international and national level in health services institutions, in order to identify the best effective practices in this area, so that become an input for the generation of a value proposition in the process of comparisons, logistics and supply of a clinical laboratory in the city of Medellín, Colombia. For this purpose, a quantitative approach research, descriptive scope and non-experimental design was developed, which was explored through a three (3) phases structure (identification of the current structure + benchmarking of the operation system + adaptation/design of a new system), critical aspects related to the business model, its performance and potential for permanence in market. The diagnosis carried out revealed that the mine’s operating system (supported by different areas: Production, Planning, Geology, Maintenance, supply) does not have accurate resource estimation models, information system, monitoring initiatives, supply policies, asset allocation and concrete follow-up metrics to identify variations and action plans to face the problems, situations, or anomalies in the operation. On the other hand, and based on the literature review carried out, the implementation of a hybrid methodology that integrates the identification of bottlenecks and the short interval control was proposed. In this way, it would be possible to improve the conditions for understanding and defining the system, the articulation of resources and plans, the follow-up of the operation’s performance, the data centralization, metrics formulation, follow-up and ratios development
