Around 20% of the production cannot be exported and is used for the local market or thrown away, which means less efficiency for the producer. This product does not generate any risk if its eaten, mainly because it just does not accomplish the esthetical demands of the international markets where it is going to be bought, but it conserves the characteristics for other proposes or the local market. Through the transformation of this fruit new products can be created with the same properties, which is the interest of the research. This research attempts to understand the perceptions and interests of the potential consumers of products containing banana. The interviews to experts in snacks and transformation processes of fruits or vegetables industries, and interviews to potential consumers in Europe and North America gave information and perceptions that were completed with surveys that resulted in tendencies in relation to the transformation of food, what they have in mind when making a purchase decision, the reasons to choose it and where they can find what they want. Currently, there are many processed products available derived from banana in Latin America, North America, and Europe. This kind of products can be found in supermarkets, healthy markets, specialized stores and through E-commerce platforms. Although the snack market has great growth potential, the consumption of banana-based snacks is not that frequent. This can be a market opportunity, considering the benefits of this fruit to position those products in the market.Ítem Análisis marginal del uso de aminoácidos para potencializar fertilizantes en bananera de Ecuador-Los Ríos(Escuela Agrícola Panamericana Zamorano, 2023) Grandes Navarro, Franz Richelieu; Reconco, RommelÍtem Plan de negocios para la creación de una empresa exportadora de uchuva(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Sarmiento Castro, Jenny; Godoy, ÁlexCape Gooseberry (Physalis peruvian) is a tropical fruit that has gained popularity in Europe due to its sweet and sour taste and nutritional properties, as it is rich in vitamin C, antioxidants, and fibre. Exports of this fruit from Colombia have been growing in recent years; at the same time, the market increases the demands in terms of compliance with regulations, limits of agrochemicals in the fruit and consistent quality of the products it sells. The cultivation of this fruit has been characterized by being carried out by small and medium producers, with little technical assistance and, in many cases, without complying with regulations; In turn, the export has been carried out by intermediary companies, which market these crops, sometimes without much control over the demands of the market; This situation has been generating spaces for business opportunities, especially with the most demanding clients, from the most demanding markets; who are looking for suppliers that comply with regulations, that support the entire value chain and that offer products of consistent quality. The financial analysis of an export company project, which is supplied by small farmers, with high investment in technical assistance, compliance with regulations, fair payments that allow them to improve their quality of life and great attention and investment in quality control, are presented as viable, profitable, and sustainable with certain risks that can be mitigated.Ítem Diseño de un plan exportador para la empresa cultivo de flores Tanurin(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Turbay Lopera, Samuel; Roldán Yepes, RaquelÍtem Prefactibilidad de una planta de producción de sales mineralizadas para el mejoramiento de la ganadería en el Magdalena Medio(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Fernández Castaño, Camilo Andrés; Reconco, RommelÍtem Análisis situacional para evaluar pérdidas asociadas a la mala clasificación de huevos en la empresa Avicer(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Ramírez Giraldo, Carlos Andrés; Sánchez Di Palma, Ronny GilbertoÍtem Análisis de perspectivas de la cadena productiva del sector agrotextil sobre el cultivo de algodón en los Llanos Orientales de Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Mantilla Salazar, Juan David; Botero Santos, Adolfo; Sanders, ArieIn the 70s, the cultivation of cotton reached the second export crop in Colombia. This helped the strengthening in the following years of the textile industry consuming more than 100 thousand tons of cotton in 2005. Today, only 35% of the cotton needed to supply the industrial demand of around 40 thousand tons is planted in the country. To reverse this trend, the producers guild is planning to increase crops in the south eastern plains of Colombia: a region with enormous potential for agricultural production at scale but with very little history in cotton. This work compiles the opinion of experts from the cotton’s value chain with the intention of analyzing their perspectives on the viability of cotton cultivation in the eastern plains of Colombia. In general, to boost cultivation in the region, different strategies must be implemented over time. In the short term, coordinated work between actors in the production chain will be vital; in the medium term it will be necessary to strengthen technical assistance strategies to face difficulties of agronomic adaptation of the technological package; and in the long term, the region must have a production management plan so as not to depend on internal demand and thus take advantage of the benefits of economies of scale in crop production. Without detailing the risks and other difficulties discussed in the text, there is a general consensus among the experts regarding the possibility of drawing a long-term route to produce competitive, quality and even cotton with some added value for sustainable production in the eastern plains of Colombia.Ítem Estudio de viabilidad financiera de venenos hechos a partir de ají de la región amazónica(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Álvarez Hermosa, María Alejandra; Godoy, Alex JharjenyThe idea of the project BOVIVEN S.A.S, was born with the thought of the production of poisons for the control of ectoparasites based on natural products such as Amazonian chili.
