This article presents an analysis from the sense and the structure of two of the poems in the text Dancers of the Wind (Danzantes del viento): Stone and The Universe in his Eyes (“Piedra” y “El universo en sus ojos”), written by a Kamentsá contemporary author: Hugo Jamioy. From these two poems an interpretation is proposed, trying to find the sense of each text through syntax (personal, time and space deictics) and semantics (the meaning of some subjects as thought, his ancestors representation, objects mentioned in the poems, expressions that connotes the poetic voice’s ideas in relation with ancestral cultures, and how this is related in the construction of a complete sense).

The narrator of the novels Amirbar (1990) and Abdul Bashur: dreamer of ships (1991) is presented as Álvaro Mutis chronicler, who in turn narrates himself transforming himself into Mutis character. The intention of this article is to approach the episodes in which the novels allow the coexistence between the author and his conversion through memory into a character. Consequently, the first episode takes place in California, United States, and is set in Amirbar. In turn, the other two episodes take place in Rennes, France, and Urandá, Colombia, these stories are found in Abdul Bashur: Dreamer of Ships. The coexistence of non-corporeal entities will be approached from the theoretical notions of Mikhail Bakhtin: emotional condition and volitional condition; applied to Mutis character. In order to give news about the proximities and distances in the coexistence between the author and his character.

(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Kuge, Tokio; Giraldo Quintero, Efrén Alexander
This article analyzes the internal dialogues about the problems of narrating feminicides in 2666 by Roberto Bolaño. The novel problematizes the function of superficiality imposed upon bodies not only of the victims but also of the murderers. This function promotes the banalization of the violence and the elimination of discursive interventions in the violence. The internal dialogues show the possibility of the game within the logic of such function, which as a result incurs its ineffectiveness. This ineffectiveness leads to the provocation of interest, the communication of pain, a narrative position as the international borderline and the duplication of sin. 2666 shows the role of writing and the position of fiction through this article, in the face of the violence situated outside language.

(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Escobar Cuartas, Juan Fernando; Pino Posada, Juan Pablo
This article aims to analyze the female archetypes represented in the novel Inocencia and the short-story "Necrology" by Francisco de Paula Rendón. This analysis will allow us to obtain a broader vision of the female archetypes in the Antioquia literature produced at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. For this, it will be necessary to make a brief tour of the context in which Rendón developed and then enter into the narrative production, from which the interest falls on the initially mentioned works. Then, it will be necessary to take a look at the concept of archetype developed by Carl Gustav Jung, this will allow to expose some female archetypal manifestations in the literature from the works of Elisabeth Frenzel and Juan Eduardo Cirlot. From there, a base will be consolidated whose analysis will show a female archetypal presence in the Antioqueño literature that is far from those configured in other works of the time in question.

In the following article a hermeneutic exploration is proposed to The Letter of James starting from some fundamental aspects of the literary essay -- The letter analyzed here has been read from different social and theological perspectives, and given its nature, it has been very relevant in the Latin American theological reflection -- However, it should be clear that strictly literary approaches to the letter have not been very fruitful, and the most noted prominent approaches in the matter have been interested in the study of its literary structure: commenting on the figures of the letter and relating them with the sapiential literature, etc -- This article is added to the interpretative exercises of the letter from a primarily literary analysis in its relation with the work in essay form, so the reader will find a dialogue between some theoretical principles of the essay and how they are observed in The Epistle

The poetry of Laura Victoria caused a big impression in her context because she explored the possibilities of realization of a prohibited subject: the woman as a sensual being that appropriates her experience of the world through erotism, experience that materialized itself through the poetic word -- This transgression to a masculine order established in Latin America allowed to give one step forward to conceive the woman’s subjectivity from the experimentation with her own body and the sensual experience of itself -- For an approximation to the interpretation of her poetic work, we propose the concept of experience of erotism formulated based on Georges Bataille’s theorization of erotism

The Lives of Women is a compilation of short stories written by Alice Munro, which interweave the story of Del Jordan, his childhood, youth and adulthood, and that of his extravagant mother Addie Morrison -- In this work, the line between story and novel becomes so thin that it becomes a pendulum that oscillates between the borders of both genres and equally balances between two worlds, the real and the reality -- Hence, this article intends to investigate from the female identity of the protagonists and the contrast of their actions with the other women of the Jubilee town, if that the real world is made up of conceptions imposed by the culture, by the "should be »And, on the other hand, if the reality can refer to an individual search of being" without duty "

María Mercedes Carranza and Piedad Bennett are two colombian poets from the mid-twentieth century who share a disenchanted writing as result of an historical context crossed by social violence and inequalities that affect women in a special way -- The purpose of the following article is to show that the tone of the literary work of both authors is the resistance against the canon of poetry and the patriarchal power of traditional institutions appealing to a lyrical self that uses the ironic word for the transgression as an emancipatory possibility -- For the present hermeneutic analysis, we selected six poems of their complete works

Tríptico de la infamia is a novel that abounds in historical richness written by Pablo Montoya and published in 2014 -- It’s main topic are the religious wars of the sixteenth century, with the colonization of the American lands -- All of this is shown through the eyes of three artists, eyewitnesses, who express in their work a testimony of what happened, both in the Old and the New World -- In order to bring together in the story the two arts, painting and literature, the author uses a literary figure called Ekphrasis or ecphrasis, which allows him to approach the images from the description, and to use them at the same time as a pretext for narrative creation, in that way it gives the reader an interpretation seen by Montoya about the process of colonization and the influence of religion in it -- The following article aims to show that with the use of this literary resource, Pablo Montoya expects to make a defense of the native as a victim, and a reaffirmation of the Black Legend around what happened with the arrival of Europeans in America

This article proposes an interpretative approach to Fernando Gonzalez’ El maestro de escuela based on the literary genres of the tragedy and the novel -- Both genres are represented by Manjarrés and the narrator respectively -- After reviewing the author’s concept of the novel, the structure of the work is described, taking into account the tragedy’s qualitative part as pointed out by Aristotle’s Poetics -- In this weaving of actions, the cathartic identification of the narrator together with the critique he makes of the influence of political powers in literary activity is derived -- This latter derivation is the central idea in the novel

(Universidad EAFIT, 2017) Clavijo Tavera, Óscar Daniel; N/A
Based on the possibilities of dialogue between art and the many episodes of violence and horror in history, as well as on the configuration of the collective memory, this article aims to inquire into the implications of the fictional-testimonial discourse as a mechanism for the building of historical memory in Roberto Burgos Cantor’s novel, La Ceiba de la memoria -- This reflection on the scope of aesthetic recreation of the testimony in the novel revolves around three analytical perspectives: the fictional configuration of a discoursive genre characteristic of history; the way in which this fictional procedure transcends certain limits of the testimonial logic, and the possibilities of meaning that arise from the non-dialogicity of the expression of testimony in the work
