Ítem 5G technology: Is it a determinant in the dispute for global economic hegemony between China and the United States in the 21st century?(Universidad EAFIT, 2021-12-17) Díaz González, Tania Anahí; González García, Juan; Licona Michel, Ángel; Universidad de Colima; Universidad de Colima; Universidad de ColombiaThe fifth generation (5G) technology is currently the latest manifestation of scientific and technological development in the world, which is impacting the economic, political, and international relations and the national and international security of countries. So far, China has led its implementation, which has lead it to acquire a relevant role in world governance to such an extent that it has given rise to a confrontation with the United States in the context of the dispute for global economic hegemony. The hypothesis of the text is that the progress made by China in 5G technology will be a catalyst for it to be positioned as the first global economic power. The article analyzes the characteristics of 5G technology and its importance in China and the world; it also reviews the race toward technological supremacy, recognizing the role of 5G in the key sectors of China’s economic positioning in the global economy, which will ultimately enable its rise and predominance in the direct battle with the United States.Ítem Actualidad Asia(Universidad EAFIT, 2016-06-30) Semillero Asia Pacífico; Universidad EAFITÍtem Actualidad Asia(Universidad EAFIT, 2015-12-15) Semillero Asia Pacífico; Semillero Asia Pacífico Semillero Asia Pacífico Semillero Asia PacíficoÍtem Actualidad Asia(Universidad EAFIT, 2017-06-30) Actualidad; Universidad EAFITÍtem Actualidad Asia(Universidad EAFIT, 2016-12-29) Actualidad Asia; Universidad EAFITÍtem Actualidad en Asia(Universidad EAFIT, 2018-07-15) Revista Digital Mundo Asia Pacífico; Revista Digital Mundo Asia Pacífico Revista Digital Mundo Asia Pacífico Revista Digital Mundo Asia Pacífico Revista Digital Mundo Asia Pacífico Revista Digital Mundo Asia PacíficoÍtem Actualidad en Asia(Universidad EAFIT, 2015-06-10) Semillero de Investigación Asia Pacífico; Universidad EAFITÍtem Actualidad en Asia(Universidad EAFIT, 2017-12-12) Asia Pacífico; Asia Pacífico Asia Pacífico Asia Pacífico Asia PacíficoÍtem Airports, cultural gates: the case of inovative cities of Pekin and Hong Kong(Universidad EAFIT, 2019-07-02) Valencia de la Portilla, Sonia Stefany; Sánchez Chávez, María Angélica; Universidad EAFITÍtem Al detalle(Universidad EAFIT, 10-12-19) Echeverri Zambrano, Aurora; Universidad EAFITÍtem Analysis of the International Applicability of Singapore’s Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) and its Impact on Mobility: A Socio- Environmental Approach for the City of Medellin(Universidad EAFIT, 2017-06-30) Arcila, Andrés; Quintero Franco, Juan Fernando; Universidad EAFITÍtem Antiquity and law: the legal system in India(Universidad EAFIT, 2015-06-10) Oropeza García, Arturo; Universidad Nacional Autónoma de MéxicoÍtem Approximation to Confucianism’s influence in the Korean Corporation Culture ¿is it the key to understand the Korean “miracle”?(Universidad EAFIT, 2016-06-30) Márquez Marín, Catherine; Universidad EAFITÍtem Asia Week 2018 special(Universidad EAFIT, 2019-02-28) Clavijo Giraldo, Mariana; Universidad EAFITÍtem Asia, The Fourth Transformation and the Global Change of Power(Universidad EAFIT, 2020-06-19) Laborde, Adolfo Alberto; Maldonado, Marcela; Universidad Anáhuac; Universidad Autónoma de Baja CaliforniaThis paper mainly places Mexico’s national interests within its foreign policy, as part of the transformation context that Mexico is currently undergoing, known as The Fourth Transformation –4T. It takes into account changes in the global balance of power and presents alternatives in this area, which will contribute to their accomplishment. Based on the importance of diversifying international economic trade relationships, as a key factor to eliminate dependence on the North American market, Mexican exports to the American market accounted for 76% of the total exports in 2018 according to the Secretariat of Economy (2019). Consequently, this paper is based on the assumption that “while the country’s political and economic diversification is necessary, there are still no clear strategies, as opposed to the proposals made by our main partners in the world, especially those in Asia (China, South Korea, and Japan), which have recently shown interest in strengthening their ties with Mexico.” To this end, an analysis is conducted using the neorealist approach of international relationships, of the sources of power by Joseph S. Nye Jr. (2011), and of the power transition theory by Tammen (2000).Ítem Australia: a culture with fortune(Universidad EAFIT, 2019-07-02) Peláez Peinado, Valentina; Universidad EAFITÍtem Best practices of financial sustainability: The case of accelerated development of Korean non-profit organizations(Universidad EAFIT, 2015-01-27) Acosta Santamaría, Dayanne Alejandra; Betancur Marín, Jenny Carolina; Universidad Industrial de SantanderÍtem Case Study on the Eligibility of Colombian Hass Avocado in the US Market: Opportunities in East Asia(Universidad EAFIT, 2019-07-02) Díaz Vasquez, Juan Carlos; Ardila Lopez, Carolina; Guerra Aranguren, Maria Alexandra; Universidad EAFITÍtem Causes of Inequality in South Korea from a Capitalism Variety Approach(Universidad EAFIT, 2021-07-30) Pérez-Nájeram, José Alejandro; Centro Universitario Hispano MexicanoThis article identifies the causes that have maintained a high level of inequality in South Korea, through the Varieties of Capitalism (VoC) approach, which classifies the country as a network economy. The study further elaborates on the discussion of the determinants of inequality in countries with a high Gross Domestic Product per capita (GDPp) and the operation of three negative complementarities that maintain these imbalances: gender, social spending, and poverty. To this end, data generated by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) are methodologically and descriptively addressed. In conclusion, inequalities concerning gender, social spending, and poverty constitute a complex negative complementarity that permeates the income distribution of the Asian country.Ítem China's new multilateral statement: The Asian infrastructure and Investment Bank(Universidad EAFIT, 2016-12-29) Jaramillo Jaramillo, Santiago; Universidad EAFIT
