Departamento de Ingeniería de Diseño; Ricardo Mejia (rmejiag@eafit.edu.co); Gilberto Osorio (gosoriog@eafit.edu.co); Ingeniería de Diseño - GRIDThe materialization of design projects has demonstrated to be a key factor for the evaluation of new ideas -- In this field, the Department of Product Design Engineering from EAFIT University has been pioneer in Colombia -- In order to take this process to a new level, an integrated approach has been proposed oriented to the design and development of sustainable transport value added products, particularly in the field of electric mobility, where transport systems complexity is combined with the need of developing sustainable products, together with the use of technologies in the area of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). It is presented the adopted methodology for development of this kind of projects at academic level, detailing main activities and tools, and describing a successful case study for the design of a functional prototype of an electric bicycle, in order to demonstrate the findings and experiences obtained in this kind of implementations that, in the future, will be translated into trained engineers on advanced product development, as well as to raise industrial awareness in the subjectÍtem Definición de una metodología para análisis de discurso basado en lingüística computacional y técnicas de aprendizaje de máquina(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Fajardo Becerra, Daian Paola; Montoya Múnera, Edwin Nelson; Ariza Jiménez, Leandro FabioThe different actions carried out by a state regulatory body generate multiple opinions among citizens, which form debates among people, causing them to agree, disagree or partially agree with the decisions or strategies proposed. In order to know the opinions of the citizens, in Chile a project called "Tenemos que hablar Chile" (We have to talk Chile) was created, which asked structured questions to a group of citizens, where the answer of each person was classified by the moderator. each person's answer was classified by the moderator. This label was used for different discourse analyses that began to be developed without any specific order. This project was replicated in Colombia, under the same dynamics in order to know the opinions of the citizens, however, the techniques used were different from the Chilean project. As a result, it is observed that although both projects had the same dynamics and sought a similar result, it was not possible to reuse the techniques developed in the Chilean project in Colombia. Due to this, the proposal of this master's project seeks the implementation of a methodology that allows the use of different techniques of discourse analysis based on computational linguistics and machine learning that will provide the team of analysts with a scheme of stages which will have tools and techniques of Natural Language processing (NLP) to improve the efficiency of this type of projects. Within this project we can highlight the strengths of the director who has a high experience in Machine Learning (ML) and NLP, in addition to the strengths of the co-director with a broad understanding of the project "Tenemos que Hablar Colombia" (TQHC), and finally the student of this project with a base in the Master of Data Science and Analytics to generate a research on NLP techniques.Ítem Developing a naval design and engineering platform(Universidad EAFIT, 2005-04-01) Leiceaga Baltar, Xoan A.; Prieto, J.; Rodríguez, M.; Zapatero, F. The livestock company Hacienda Valparaiso lacks of the mechanisms of integral evaluation of its activities that allows it to adopt efficient competitive strategies; for this reason, the aim of this work is, through the construction of a methodology of analysis of the internal value chain, to develop an integral diagnosis of the current state of the productive activities of the farm and suggest a scheme of prioritization of improvement actions that allows to lay the foundations for the implementation of a productive improvement strategyÍtem Diagnóstico de madurez y lecciones aprendidas de gestión de proyectos en Mineros S.A.(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Leal Carreño, Marzia Valentina; Díez Benjumea, Jhon MiguelÍtem Diseño de la oficina de proyectos (PMO) para la Aeronáutica Civil Colombiana(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Gómez Zuluaga, Sebastián Alexander; Vergara Fernández, Manuela; Henao Arango, María CeciliaThis investigation corresponds to a proposal designed to implement a Project Management Office (PMO) to the Colombian Civil Aeronautics. This research seeks to improve the strategy of proposals and projects developed in the organization, considering the importance of a PMO while achieving business objectives. In order to achieve the objectives proposed, this research is based on a diagnosis that would reveal the maturity level that PMO has in the Colombian Civil Aeronautics in order to identify the knowledge and practices used inside the organization and then propose the most accurate project office model according to the needs and structure of Colombian civil aeronautics as per PMI metrics. In the end, it is viable to obtain a PMO design proposal that adjusts to the particular needs of Colombian Civil Aeronautics so there is a vision, mission, organizational structure and roles definitions that are a fundamental part in the proposal.Ítem Estudio de caso de experiencias vividas en relación al método de enseñanza de la educación sexual en estudiantes y profesores de un colegio de Belén-Nariño(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Arcos Bolaños, Nathalia Valentina; Echeverri Álvarez, JonathanObjective: To evaluate the lived experiences of some adolescents and teachers in relation to the teaching method of sexual education in a school in Belén-Nariño. Methodology: research with a qualitative approach from a descriptive perspective, with a case analysis type study design, for which 11 semi-structural interviews were conducted with 8 students of which 5 were men and 3 women, 2 professors, and the rector of the institution. Once the information obtained was collected, a systematization process was carried out to develop a subsequent reflective analysis. Results: The experiences perceived by students and teachers are mostly negative towards the methodology of sexual education, also towards the external entities that intervene. Conclusions: The importance of carrying out a more in-depth study for a new design of the methodology and an investigation on the relationship between students and external entities that intervene in sexual education is highlighted, for which they refuse to access them. Likewise, it is also important to educate parents to impart sexual education in a more integrated way between the institution, the external agents involved, the homes and the students.Ítem Estudio de prefactibilidad del emprendimiento : lancería bordada a mano, inspirado en el trabajo cartagueño(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Maffla Ortiz, Alexander; Tobar Guinand, José MauricioÍtem Estudio de prefactibilidad del proyecto Centro de Diagnóstico Oncológico de Referenciación Regional (CORR) de Antioquia(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Gómez Arango, Alejandro; Gómez Salazar, Elkin ArcesioÍtem Extracción automática de lineamientos sobre relieves sombreados : metodología y aplicación de esta en tres proyectos geológicos en los Andes del Norte(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Arias López, Manuel Felipe; Duque Trujillo, José FernandoÍtem Formulación de un proyecto de promoción turística de la ciudad de Medellín haciendo uso de la guía metodológica de Fontur(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Sandoval Villa, Ana María; Henao Arango, María CeciliaProject management encompasses the areas of project formulation and management. The formulation of projects is the preliminary evaluation that involves the market study, technical study, study of the organization and legal study (Padilla, 2011). The success of a project depends to a large extent on a good formulation of it and for this reason some authors consider this phase as one of the most complex (Sapag, 2007). In this area, there are different methodologies to address the formulation, such as the logical framework, the adjusted general methodology and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) methodology. However, some government entities, such as the National Tourism Fund (Fontur), rely on their own methodological guides for the presentation of projects. This report analyzes the process of formulating a tourism promotion project for the city of Medellín using the Fontur methodological guide and for academic purposes the feasibility of the project according to the UNIDO methodology. By formulating and presenting this project to Fontur, the aim is to obtain practical knowledge of this process to later socialize the lessons learned to other private tourism actors in the city of Medellín. It is intended in such a way that said investigation is useful for other tourist service providers and encourages the development, presentation and use of the resources of this entity. This report is framed on the research, which is of a qualitative type, of the requirements of this entity for the presentation of tourism promotion projects based on the Manual for the allocation of resources and presentation of projects of April 2020 (Fontur, 2020b). Likewise, a documentary analysis is carried out to justify the articulation of the project and the objective of the project with the national and local tourism plans. Regarding the field work, interviews are conducted with the most important actors in charge of promoting tourism in the city, such as the Subsecretary of Tourism and the Medellín Visitors Bureau. A survey is also carried out to identify the demand for the project and the appropriate price for it.Ítem Guía metodológica para la construcción de fábricas de software(Universidad EAFIT, 2008) Muñoz Gómez, Arbey Dario; Montoya Alvarez, Carolina; Alzate Alvarez, Andrés Felipe; Gutiérrez Seguro, AlejandroÍtem Lecciones aprendidas de un proyecto habitacional de la empresa CT Ingeniería S.A.S.(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Tobón Restrepo, Alejandro; Valencia Gómez, Jamie; Díez Benjumea, Jhon MiguelÍtem Lecciones aprendidas del proyecto de conservación dinámica La Dorada 2022, en la dirección territorial caldas del Instituto Geográfico Agustín Codazzi(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Noreña Varón, Diana Marcela; Diez Benjumea, Jhon MiguelThe objective of this graduate work entitled "Lessons learned from the La Dorada 2022 dynamic conservation project in the Caldas Territorial Directorate of the Agustín Codazzi Geographic Institute" was to identify, evaluate and document the lessons learned from this conservation project. The study was based on a methodology that included documentary review, semi-structured interviews, Likert surveys and focus groups. In the introduction, the context of the project was established and the cadastral problems that motivated its implementation were presented. The background at national and departmental level is presented, as well as the inter-administrative contract 701/2022 that supports the project. The conceptual framework covers various aspects related to project management, including information flow, project management, project management process groups and project performance domains. Lessons learned were also addressed, alluding to methodological references and their management. The methodology used involved the collection of information through secondary and primary sources, such as the review of existing documents, surveys and interviews. This information was analyzed and collections of lessons learned were created in Microsoft Excel format. The results obtained are presented in several phases, including the identification of lessons learned, their evaluation and classification, and the creation of a digital repository for their documentation. Finally, conclusions and recommendations derived from the study are presented. Consequently, this degree work provides a methodological guide to identify and document lessons learned in the La Dorada 2022 dynamic conservation project, with the objective of improving the management of future projects at the Instituto Geográfico Agustín Codazzi.Ítem Lecciones aprendidas del proyecto Tecnoacademia Sennova, del Centro de la Innovación, la Agroindustria y la Aviación (CIAA)(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Jaramillo Alzate, Catalina María; Gómez Salazar, Elkin ArcesioÍtem Methodology for the design of automotive HUD graphical interfaces(UNIV NAC COLOMBIA, FAC NAC MINAS, 2018-01-01) Villa-Espinal J.; Osorio-Gómez G.; Universidad EAFIT. Departamento de Ingeniería de Diseño; Ingeniería de Diseño (GRID)The use of mobile devices inside vehicles while driving is generating an imminent safety risk. Due to this situation, one of the most relevant solutions is the Head-Up Display (HUD) system, which displays information about the system, status, and aids of the vehicle and a little data of the in-vehicle entertainment in the driver’s field of view during the driving activity. In fact, it is important to establish some guidelines or parameters to design HUD interfaces, since the automakers do not disclose their guidelines for the overall design of these interfaces. The main approach of this article is to propose a methodology for the design of automotive HUD interfaces, considering information from the ADAS, IVIS and external devices that meet the current needs of drivers. A validation of the methodology was made with product design engineers and computer engineers. It was concluded that predominantly in the designs the classification of information depending on the level of importance is clear. In this case, driving information is the most relevant in the whole design. An important aspect concerning the implementation of HUD devices is that this technology has more relevance in automotive interior design looking for a perfect balance between the primary task, driving, and the secondary task, multitasking activities on nomadic devices. © The author; licensee Universidad Nacional de Colombia.Ítem Methodology for the modification of the motorization of a two-wheeled vehicle considering the redesign of mechanical systems(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Moreno Durango, Laura María; Osorio Gómez, Gilberto; Córdoba Morales, Jorge HernánÍtem Metodología de cálculo de costos de producción de la carne de cerdo en las granjas porcinas en Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) González Restrepo, Nelson Alberto; Uribe Marín, Ricardo; Uribe de Correa, Beatriz AmparoÍtem Metodología para cuantificar las pérdidas económicas y financieras de una empresa, tanto a nivel nacional o internacional, cuando es afectada por ciberataques o ataques informáticos(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Atencia Urueta, Víctor Rafael; Lalinde Pulido, Juan GuillermoIn this work, the direct financial, economic and reputational costs incurred by a company when affected by cyberattacks were examined, for which a methodology supported by international standards on cybersecurity was created or structured. The proposed methodology allows supporting companies, governments, judges and insurance companies, to quantify the economic, administrative, commercial, financial and reputational losses incurred by a company in any country, when being a victim of cyberattacks in its operations, services, infrastructure and / or reputation. The importance and relevance of this work is based on what has been occurring in cybersociety in the current times of pandemic and post-pandemic by covid-19, where online work, work at home, electronic businesses, learning on line, e-Banking, industry 4.0 services, and in general, the entire digital transformation of companies is here to stay as a necessity or mandatory requirement, in society and continue to generate value and produce in companies. This business and institutional digital transformation comes with a number of services, which facilitate the development of productive activities, but also increase vulnerability to computer attacks or cyberattacks against companies, organizations, private and governmental institutions worldwide. Such attacks greatly affect the resources, the economy, the finances and the entire value of companies and nations.
