For indigenous and Afro-descendant people, access to academic training, and therefore to skilled employment, can be more difficult than for whites. This research seeks to conduct a comparative analysis based on the 2018 Barometer of the Americas survey, which will allow us to observe the racial, educational, and occupational characteristics of individuals, and then study the potential effects of race on the quality of employment in Latin America.Ítem Discriminación salarial en Medellín y Colombia para los años 2009, 2013 y 2017(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Valbuena Cardenas, Julio Cesar; Martínez Ochoa, ArturoIn this research work, a comparison was made between discrimination by sexes in the labor market evaluated in the period of Juan Manuel Santos' government, making a comparison between the city of Medellín and the other metropolitan areas, making a comprehensive literature review with the In order to collect evidence in order to justify and apply a methodology among which the information collected in the large household survey (GEIH), the Probit model, the Heckman correction model, and the Oaxaca-Blinder decomposition model, were applied. In the rural sector, this problem is mainly marked in matters of education, economic autonomy, working conditions, and access to land and credit, therefore, deepening these issues is of great help in finding solutions to this situation. Rural women's participation in the labor market is limited by the hours dedicated to domestic work and childcare, in addition to using most of their harvest for self-consumption, causing them to consider themselves less productive than their male peers . For this reason, this research focuses on conducting an analysis of the socioeconomic variables that affect the productivity and participation of rural women in the labor market.Ítem La participación de la mujer en el mercado laboral rural durante la pandemia causada por el Covid-19 : el caso de Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Gongas Torres, Sofía; García Salgado, Valentina; Dávalos Álvarez, EleonoraÍtem Procesamiento de lenguaje natural en el sector de BPO en Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Jiménez Cardona, Daniel; Acosta Mejía, Camilo AndrésOne of the most important fields of artificial intelligence in recent years is natural language processing.
