    Social Appropriation of Knowledge (ASC) is a comprehensive academic approach that encompasses research, innovation and the training of scientific talent. It also prioritizes experiential learning and the convergence of universitary missional processes of training and research. This publication seeks to serve diverse communities, whether academic or not, to conceive, design and manage science, technology and innovation projects that promote the co-creation of knowledge with transformative power; to enhance instances for dialogue and deliberation arround science; and to mobilize diverse communities in solving the challenges we face as humanity.

    The Chair of Social Appropriation of Knowledge (ASC) led by the Social Appropriation of Knowledge Network - RedASC, brought together various actors around the challenges of science, technology and innovation (STI) in higher education institutions and, in particular,on the challenges posed by the Social Appropriation of Knowledge of the academic and research practices of the National STI System of Colombia.
