dc.description.abstractThe personalization of politics is a phenomenon with greater implications in presidential systems. This paper studies the effect that Uribe has had on the electoral and party system in Colombia. The basis of the electoral system currently in Colombia is derived from reform of 2003. Several authors argue that this reform alludes to the intentions of Uribe and part of the political class to reform the electoral dynamics in Colombia. Key aspects of the new electoral system of 2003 introduced several elements that substantially modified the electoral system. We seek to identify the possible electoral niches favorable to Uribe as well as the main characteristics of these territories with the intention of making a diagnosis regarding the "pro-Uribe" electorates.eng
dc.description.abstractLa personalización de la política es un fenómeno con mayores implicaciones en los sistemas presidenciales. Este trabajo estudia el efecto que ha tenido Uribe en el sistema electoral y de partidos en Colombia. La columna vertebral del sistema electoral con el que actualmente funciona Colombia tiene sus bases en la reforma introducida en el año 2003. VaRíos autores aluden esta reforma a las intenciones de Uribe y parte de la clase política por reformar las dinámicas electorales en Colombia. Aspectos claves del nuevo sistema electoral de 2003 introdujeron vaRíos elementos que modificaron al sistema electoral de forma sustancial. Se busca identificar los posibles nichos electorales favorables a Uribe así como las principales características de dichos territoRíos con la intención de hacer un diagnóstico respecto a los electorados “uribistas”.spa
