Derivaciones conceptuales en las teorías de la administración(Departamento de Administración de Empresas de la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá, 2018-01-01) Jurado Jurado, Juan CarlosAuthority implies relations of subordination and capital-labor hierarchy that are the foundation of management in organizational context. Nevertheless, in basic texts, its meaning is undeveloped because of its prescriptive and generalist character. This paper aims at establishing the concepts of authority in the most emblematic theories of management as well as in contemporary management from a critical-hermeneutic review of primary and secondary bibliography. Is necessary ?to overcome the reductionist conceptions of management based on the reflections provided by the social sciences and humanities. They assume authority as a social structure conditioned by the transformations of capitalism and from the plurality of meanings derived from the complex and multiple interactions and power relations. © 2018, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. La Guerra Civil colombiana de 1851(CENTRO DE ESTUDIOS HISTORICUS CONSEJO SUPER INVEST CIENTIF, 2014-01-01) Jurado Jurado, Juan CarlosWar is chaos and destruction but it has led to the construction of modern orders such as the nation-state. In this article, the Colombian Civil War (1851) is studied as an administrative experience for the State, because it required the planning, coordination and control of huge resources in order to govern and build up its political legitimacy. Political actions seen as administrative actions, war costs, and the instability of the State are all examined in the light of the analysis of memoires, chronicles, official reports and the periodical press.Ítem La guerra como negocio y los negocios de la Guerra Civil de 1851(Universidad Nacional de Colombia, 2013-01-01) Jurado Jurado, Juan CarlosTradicionalmente las guerras civiles hispanoamericanas han significado un importante factor de inestabilidad política e inseguridad económica,a las que se les ha endilgado hasta la exageración el atraso y el subdesarrollo nacional durante el siglo XIX. The interventionism of the Colombian State has been a fundamental element for import substitution, which may be explained by the endogenous and exogenous conditions of the national economy during World War II (1939-1945). We start from the hypotesis that the State is a political form which has adopted the capitalist economic system; for this reason State interventionism in economy is a characteristic of the process of modernization experienced in Colombia between the end of the XIX century and the beginning of the XXth. We take into account the state policies and laws regarding the steel industry, the State institutions and trade unions that developed this sector, the decline of interventionism, and the emergence of the private steel companies. Secondary sources consulted were national press, the oficial trade union journal between 1960 and 1970, and CONPES (the Colombian Council of Social and Economic Policies). Lastly, we emphasize certain key points that are beyond the limits of the present study, such as interrelation between the steel industry and other sectors and knowledge areas, and the national and international technologies required for the activaton of great industries; vital ideas that may generate new research processes.Ítem La participación del pueblo liebral en la Guerra Civil de 1851: la ciudadanía en armas(Universidad de Antioquia ; Instituto de Estudios Políticos Colombia, 2011-01-01) Jurado Jurado, Juan CarlosLas Sociedades Democráticas de artesanos fueron importantes organismos políticos, decisivos en la elección presidencial del liberal José Hilario López (1849-1853). They played a multiple role as social Liberal Party bases, as organized pressure on the State, and as an extension of it, what turned them into an important political actor during the government period of López. Because the members of these Democratic Societies had to offer their services to the Auxiliary National Guard, and due to the permeability of this police entity toward the enrollment of armed civilians, both institutions merged into a political-military entity backing up the Liberal reforms and quelling the conservative insurrection that used to resist them. It was a kind of problematical hybrid, a subsidiary of Liberalism that acted as an "armed party" and, at the same time, a police entity playing the role of a "partisan army". This article deals with the way in which the Democratic Societies contributed to democratize politics and how they played a crucial role as a coercive force against the State in the Civil War of 1851, a war where the liberal peoples largely participated as a "citizenship in in arms", significantly contributing to the triumph of the liberals in such dispute. © 2012 Instituto de Estudios Políticos y Relaciones Internacionales (IEPRI), Universidad Nacional de Colombia.Ítem Los procesos pedagógicos y su relación con la convivencia escolar(Universidad Pedagógica Nacional- Centro de Investigaciones, CIUP, 2008-01-01) Jurado Jurado, Juan CarlosÍtem Región y violencia en la guerra civil de 1851(Universidad Nacional de Colombia, 2015-01-01) Jurado Jurado, Juan CarlosNotwithstanding that war means death and destruction, it also entails the construction of new social and political orders, consisting in the definition of regional identities, territories, borders, and sovereignties, as well as modern political institutions. In accordance with this, the 1851 Civil War is addressed as an element that made visible the differentiation and delimitation among regions of the New Granada, particularly Cauca and Antioquia, from representations and imaginaries that it provoked on their identities. This paper also presents how the war made emerge into the national scene the process of configuration of the regional identities, their federalist orientation, and the assassinations of prominent conservatives in Cartago, amid the violence of the liberal mob against the conservatives –a way to settle the debts of the prior War of the Supremes (1839-1842). These facts expressed a memory of the past that was politicized and thereby the inherited hatreds served to link a war with another in the process of construction of the nation. © 2015, Universidad Nacional de Colombia. This paper addresses the role that the entrepreneurs’ writings on their work organization practices in industries played in the formation of management during that period. After a critical-hermeneutic review of primary and secondary bibliography, it was found that, before the existence of such works, entrepreneurs had a tradition of expressing their empirical knowledge (management practices) in texts, thereby indicating that writing was fundamental in shaping management as a practice that produces its own theoretical knowledge (discursive practice). © 2015, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
