dc.descriptionEste artículo propone un acercamiento interpretativo a El maestro de escuela de Fernando González desde dos géneros literarios: la tragedia y la novela, los cuales están representados por Manjarrés y el narrador, respectivamente -- Luego de revisar el concepto de novela en el autor, se describe la estructura de la obra considerando las partes cualitativas de la tragedia señaladas por Aristóteles en la Poética -- De esta forma de urdir las acciones se deriva la identificación catártica del narrador y la crítica que hace a la influencia de los poderes políticos en la actividad literaria, lo cual se constituye en el centro de la novelaspa
