It involves the community in raising awareness of the environmental impact of their consumption habits and disposal of bulky solid waste, generating care for the environment from the conservation and reuse of wooden furniture and other feasible reuse materials that have gone from generation to generation in families. The project is part of one of the pillars of sustainability: sustainable design, an initiative that has also been gaining strength in the context of circular or green economies. The starting point is the business model of Lurdes, Grupo MLP S.A.S, owned by the Merino Palacio family, and its more than 30 years of experience in the areas of furniture reuse and restoration. In this text you can find the starting point and user research for a transmedia project to generate environmental awareness.Ítem Considerando incertidumbre en regresores de un modelo Logit : la adopción de Internet en Medellín(Universidad Eafit, 2020) Carvajal Rendón, Daniela Alejandra; Ramírez Hassan, AndrésÍtem Conversemos sobre educación, liderazgo y tecnología(Medellín : Universidad EAFIT, 2022-10-14) Universidad EAFIT; Restrepo Montoya, Claudia Patricia, 1975-; Vélez, David, 1975-; Universidad EAFITÍtem Derecho de autor: obras generadas y asistidas por inteligencia artificial(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Gómez Escorcia, Angélica Paola; Correa Jiménez, María del Mar; Roldán Gaviria, Ricardo León de la CruzThis research paper focuses on the debate on the ownership of works generated and assisted by artificial intelligence (AI), with a particular focus on literary, musical and image works. This controversy arises because artificial intelligence has reached a significant level of development and autonomy, enabling the creation of artistic and literary content based on instructions provided by users. However, this new reality poses legal challenges and questions the scope of copyright law. For this reason, the main purpose of this research is to determine whether such creations are protected by copyright. It also seeks to establish who should be recognized as the owner of these rights. For this purpose, different international jurisprudential positions that have established that works assisted by artificial intelligence are susceptible of being protected by copyright were examined. This, taking into account that the courts considered that works assisted by artificial intelligence are the product of human intellect.Ítem Desarrollar capacidades para la ética digital(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Fernández Osorio, Diana; Alarcón López, Leandro; Echeverri Álvarez, JonathanÍtem Drones and the International Legal Order. Technology, Strategy, and Long Chains of Action(Universidad de Los Andes, 2015-05) Kleinschmidt, Jochen; Universidad EAFIT. Escuela de Administración. Grupo de Investigación Estudios InternacionalesThe main thesis of this article is that the increasing recourse to the use of unmanned aerial systems in asymmetric warfare and the beginning routinization of U.S. drone operations represent part of an evolutionary change in the spatial ordering of global politics -- Using a heuristic framework based on actor-network theory, it is argued that practices of panoptic observation and selective airstrikes, being in need of legal justification, contribute to a reterritorialization of asymmetric conflicts -- Under a new normative spatial regime, a legal condition of state immaturity is constructed, which establishes a zone of conditional sovereignty subject to transnational aerial policing -- At the same time, this process is neither a deterministic result of the new technology nor a deliberate effect of policies to which drones are merely neutral instruments -- Rather, military technology and political decisions both form part of a long chain of action which has evolved under the specific circumstances of recent military interventionsÍtem Escuelas Taller de Colombia : caso de innovación social y desarrollo local(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Bermúdez Ríos, María Paula; Vargas Sáenz, Mario EnriqueÍtem Estimación de la distribución espacial del ingreso intra-urbano de Medellín y su área Metropolitana, usando imágenes satelitales diurnas(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Salazar Vásquez, Jessica Patricia; Patiño Quinchía, Jorge Eduardo; Duque Cardona, Juan Carlos; Gómez Escobar, Jairo AlejandroÍtem Estrategias para el cierre de brechas identificadas en el Sistema Nacional de Innovación Agropecuaria de los departamentos del Meta, Tolima, Bolívar y Chocó(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Tobón Tobón, Reinaldo; Zartha Sossa, Jhon WilderToday, the development of a territory must be approached in an integral manner. In order to achieve this, strategies that enhance the social, political, economic, cultural, and environmental dimensions must be employed. It is in this way that National Systems of Agricultural Innovation (NSAI) worldwide propose strategic actions aimed at linking and establishing relationships among the various actors in the value chain, fostering innovative processes, and utilizing technology in agricultural practices, among others, with the purpose of achieving this comprehensive development. In this regard, this thesis aims to answer the question: What strategies close the gaps identified in the National Agricultural Innovation System of the Meta, Tolima, Chocó, and Bolívar departments based on the investigation of primary and secondary sources? These regions have gaps in each of the subsystems that make up the NAIS. To achieve this goal, a form-type instrument was applied to 34 experts to understand their perception of the NAIS. Additionally, 50 research papers or case studies conducted in different parts of the world, one diagnostic document prepared by the NAIS and the Technological Institute of Pereira to identify gaps, and four documents from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization and Rural Development Agencies were reviewed. As a result of this process, 55 strategies were formulated to mitigate the identified gaps in the NAIS of the Meta, Tolima, Bolívar, and Chocó departments.Ítem Estudio de prefactibilidad para la creación y comercialización de un software scrum de gestión de proyectos(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) García Ferrer, Nicolás; Díez Benjumea, Jhon MiguelThe project management through agile project frameworks, such as the SCRUM methodology, is generating high demand for professionals worldwide. As a result, the demand for project management software has increased. The Colombian market, lacking domestic offerings, resorts to international tools that often do not adapt to the specific needs of each company. Currently, companies are turning to software of moderate and high cost and complexity to manage short and medium-term projects of small and medium scope. For this reason, a feasibility study was proposed for an investment project aimed at the development and commercialization of software for project management (using agile frameworks), with a level of pre-feasibility depth using the methodology proposed by UNIDO for project evaluation. This study allows evaluating different aspects such as the market, the legal framework, risks, financial projections, among others. The intention of this study is to provide project investors with a set of variables that, with a moderate level of accuracy, allows them to analyze the feasibility of the project and make a decision regarding the next steps to take: invest, discard, or further deepen the analysis.Ítem La gobernanza de la política pública de ciencia, tecnología e innovación : un estudio de caso sobre la participación de los actores del ecosistema de CTI en la ciudad de Medellín 2011-2021(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Valero Madrid, Juan Luis; Gallo Jaramillo, Natalia Isabel; Peláez Arango, Juan RafaelMedellín has implemented its Public Policy on Science, Technology and Innovation for 10 years, managing to develop a governance system for the ecosystem. This research aims to analyze and identify the governance methodology of the Public Policy of Science, Technology and Innovation of Medellín during the period 2011-2021. Primary sources were consulted in interviews with members of the ecosystem, participants of the University-Company-State Committee, and external agents to this governance instrument; Academic papers and studies, and research by McKinsey and Company on the ecosystem were also reviewed. The results showed that the governance in Medellín over the Science, Technology and Innovation ecosystem has not allowed an expanded participation of citizens, and with this the distribution of its benefits has also been reduced for the ecosystem, since its great advances have been seen reflected in the small number of actors.Ítem La innovación social en la adopción de aplicativos y plataformas móviles en smartphones : un estudio multicaso en dos comunidades agricultoras de Antioquia(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Méndez Arango, Mónica; Álvarez Mesa, CatalinaÍtem Inteligencia Artificial en la economía : un análisis multidimensional de oportunidades y desafíos en el mercado laboral(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Cadavid Londoño, Ana María; Hernández Flórez, MónicaÍtem Intervención comportamental para impulsar la participación en formaciones virtuales para adultos(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Hernández Arbeláez, Carolina; Pineda Varela, Laura Andrea; Correa Flórez, Sindy Lorena; Vélez Zapata, SaraÍtem Lineamientos para un modelo de ecosistema de innovación social universitario en la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Torres Oviedo, Daniel Esteban; Vargas Sáenz, Mario EnriqueThis research is based on the idea that social innovation solves the society challenges through wide participation with all social actors possible to get involved in solving these problems. Universities are a fundamental actor, in the knowledge society, because they have accumulated and concerned scientific knowledge through teaching and research for decades. However, the role of universities has become more active and has begun to develop searches for more intervention in social challenges. At this point, the Social Innovation appears as a possibility to continue developing this functions and serve their capacities to the society. The research starts approach the question of how the academy can participate and promote the Innovation Social processes. Given the above, this research takes the PUJ (Pontificia Universidad Javeriana) as a reference to understand how, with the framework of serving society and influencing socio-environmental challenges, the innovation ecosystem operates and if said ecosystem has innovation social traits. In this case study, we proceed to compare the PUJ Model ecosystem with another university ecosystem proposed by the Tuning Latin America Project called ISUR (Responsible University Social Innovation). After the comparative exercise, we proceed to investigate inside PUJ, through self-assessment exercise and interview, the level of social innovation capacity that the Institution has. Finally, we proceed to provide some key guidelines so that the current PUJ Model can develop main elements to become increasingly an social innovation ecosystem.Ítem Marco de trabajo para la generación de innovación social en comunidades vulnerables en proceso de apropiación digital en América Latina(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Cardona Figueroa, Tatiana María; Álvarez Mesa, CatalinaThe digital divide is a form of social exclusion by which a large part of the population cannot access opportunities that allow them to be competitive in the market, closing this gap could create 15 million jobs in Latin America and the Caribbean, which would boost economic growth for the region (IDB, 2021); however, the implications of this problem go beyond access to technology, they also imply its use and appropriation. Social innovation faces social problems, with a view to improving the quality of life of communities and contributing to closing gaps, promoting innovative solutions, creating shared value, and generating systemic social change in the beneficiary communities by modifying their structures and behaviors, appropriating the changes. In this sense, social innovation is an alternative that could achieve digital appropriation in vulnerable populations, contributing to the closing of the digital divide. This paper seeks to propose a framework for the generation of social innovation, promoting an understanding of digital appropriation and its contribution to closing this gap in the Latin American region, the framework is composed of some elements approached from the technocratic paradigm of social innovation and which are: Context of the social problem; Actors, Beneficiaries and some articulation processes: Partnerships and cooperation, Access to ICT, Knowledge management and digital literacy; Empowerment and Management of Social Projects under a digital government framework. Once this framework is structured, conclusions that could be part of future studies related to the research objectives are presented.Ítem Mi vecino, el Páramo : una experiencia de realidad virtual con el Páramo de Sonsón(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Rodríguez Andrades, Fredy Andres; Guzmán Ramírez, Jesús AlejandroThe main objective of this project is to amplify the message of preservation and care of the ecosystem of the Páramo de Sonsón through a transmedia strategy that humanizes the páramo as another member of the community that must be respected and protected due to the importance it has for everyone, through the articulation of technologies, communication media and a novel narrative that promotes the retention and impact of the message.Ítem PARTICIP-A(c)CIÓN : experiencias y laboratorios para la promoción de la participación e innovación social(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Londoño Rivera, Ana María; Fadul Barbosa, Alejandra Elvira; Vélez Zapata, SaraBased on the theoretical background, the imagination of social managers about the concept of social innovation and social participation is deficient in the interventions with communities. Through the analysis of social innovation and participation concepts, applied to social companies, this project proposed a practical methodology to boot social innovation and participation. It aims to use dialogue and workshop exercises, to promote information exchange, collective construction of ideas, and community empowerment in decision-making.Ítem Promoción del primer uso de la herramienta tecnológica de autorreporte "Tú cuentas" mediante una intervención comportamental con el modelo EAST(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Forero Jaramillo, Camilo Andrés; Montoya Echeverri, Claudia Marcela; Cardona Franco, Paola Andrea; Echeverri Álvarez, JonathanThe adoption of technological tools in corporate environments is a challenge for organizations. This study focused on achieving the first use, as a fundamental step for the adoption of a self-report tool. An intervention based on the principles of the EAST model was used, with the objective of minimizing the intention-action gap and evaluating the impact of two messages: utility/ease and safety/group benefit. The intervention was carried out in 187 entrepreneurs, using two treatments and a control group. The results showed that the intervention had a significant impact on access to the tool. In the control group, only 29.8% of participants performed measurable actions, while in the treatment groups, 63.1% and 64.6% of participants performed such actions, respectively. The differences between the treatments and the control group were statistically significant. However, no significant differences were found between the two implemented treatments, nor in the number of self-reports between the treatments and the control group. With the above, it is concluded that the messages designed with behavioral science tools had a positive impact on access to the technological tool in the analyzed corporate environment. However, more research is required to determine whether the messages alone or modifications to the tool design have a significant effect on continued use of the tool.
