In this way, the income statement and the capital structure of the company are protected from the possible effects in the exchange rate variations on the assets, current liabilities, operating profit, net income and therefore on its financial indicators. For this, it is intended to analyze the company's exposure to this kind of risk, the different tools and mechanisms currently used for its management, and also this paper contains a small exchange rate financial derivatives summary, in order to identify the appropriate hedging strategy for this company.Ítem Modeling of industrial through air dryers : effect of humidity ratio and air temperature on energy consumption(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Salazar Guerrero, Álvaro Fernando; Builes Toro, SantiagoThrough Air Drying (TAD) commonly used in tissue paper manufacture is an energy intensive process. A theoretical model was developed to predict the fans’ speed and the burner duty based on the type of product and operating parameters. The model showed good agreement to the industrial plant behavior and allowed insight of the drying system. Characterize the perception of quality of working life, in the leaders of a manufacturing company in the industrial sector, in Antioquia. Method. In this study the quantitative method was used, it is a descriptive and cross-sectional study. The research design corresponds to a case study, because an in-depth analysis of a single variable was performed, which in this case is the perception of the quality of life at work of the leaders in a specific context that is a manufacturing company of the industrial sector of Antioquia, through the CVT GOHISALO questionnaire (González, Hidalgo, Salazar, Preciado, 2010). Results The data obtained allowed us to show that the leaders mostly state that they feel satisfied in all the dimensions that make up the perception of quality of life at work in this company: institutional support for work, safety at work, integration into the workplace, job satisfaction, well-being achieved through work, personal development, leisure time management. Additionally, clarity is given about the aspects qualified by leaders with lower scores and that manifest some level of disagreement. Conclusions The level of satisfaction expressed by the leaders of the company is at the highest levels of the survey carried out, in all dimensions of quality of life at work. The company is proposed to design strategy for aspects of leadership, recognition, benefits and development plans that are aligned with the expectations and potential of the organization's leaders.Ítem Percepciones acerca del riesgo operativo, a partir de identificar actitudes, costumbres y hábitos que obstaculizan o favorecen la aceptación de planes de acción de mitigación de incidentes en una organización productiva de la ciudad de Bogotá(Universidad EAFIT, 2018) Rojas Oviedo, Sandra Paola; Silva Plata, Yuly Andrea; Henao Galeano, Carlos MarioObjective: to identify attitudes, customs and habits that favors the acceptance of plans to mitigate incidents in a productive organization in the city of Bogotá. Method: the present investigation is of qualitative character, of descriptive type, with a method of study of case, based on semi-structured interviews to employees of a company of the productive sector. Results: the results obtained allowed to identify in the workers habits, customs and repetitive attitudes. Some of these, proved to favor the acceptance or compliance to the letter of the security initiatives proposed by the company and another large amount showed the reasons why despite the fact that workers have a positive attitude and generally alert to the risk, accidents continue to occur. The activities highlighted by the workers are those related to self-care, when they refer to the use of personal protection elements, to the revisions they make of their environment, when making reports of unsafe conditions to their superiors, likewise when they comply with the traffic regulations and the safety standards established by the company, also when they mention that they attend the training provided by the company.Ítem Sectores claves en Colombia desde la perspectiva del Network Analysis(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Oquendo Trujillo, Víctor Manuel; Hurtado Rendón, Álvaro Arturo
