Publicación Estudio comparativo de costos de producción de las tecnologías de generación de energía eléctrica : el caso Colombia(Universidad EAFIT) García Hoyos, Catalina; Gutiérrez González, Maritza Fernanda; Escalante Gómez, Juan EstebanThis capstone project aimed to develop a comparative study of the production costs of electricity generation technologies in Colombia. For this purpose, a quantitative approach, descriptive scope, and non-experimental design were proposed. The study was structured into three (3) stages, addressing key aspects within the framework of this topic. In stage 1 (diagnosis of the current situation), it was found that Colombia’s energy matrix depends largely on hydroelectric generation. This technology, which represents 65.3% of the installed capacity and under normal hydrological conditions can supply about 85% of the country's electricity demand, offers advantages in terms of environmental sustainability (compared to other higher-impact alternatives). However, due to its high concentration, it is vulnerable to extreme weather events that may affect the available supply and even compromise the territory’s energy security. In stage 2 (identification of the most used technologies in LATAM), it was verified that, in the region, the energy matrix is concentrated in renewable generation sources. In this sence, the participation of hydroelectric power (the most used technology) is highlighted, as well as the sustained growth of photovoltaic and wind generation alternatives in some countries such as Brazil (regional leader), Mexico, and Chile. This trend, mainly driven using abundant natural resources and the implementation of policies aimed at the energy transition, demonstrates a regional orientation towards meeting environmental commitments and emission reduction. Additionally, it offers replicability opportunities in other territories (such as Colombia). In stage 3 (cost comparison), it was found that renewable technologies have experienced significant reductions in their cost structures (photovoltaic solar decreased 86% in investment and 90% in LCOE, and onshore wind reduced its LCOE by 70% in recent years). However, in Colombia, the cost of solar generation remains above the regional average, reflecting opportunities for improvement in the country’s technological, logistical, regulatory, and competitiveness conditions. On the other hand, the results show that the use of renewable technologies with lower levelized costs, such as solar and wind, represents a strategic opportunity to diversify the energy matrix, reduce dependence on hydroelectric generation, and advance in meeting the country's environmental and sustainability goals.Publicación Impacto del proyecto seguridad alimentaria en la rentabilidad de una empresa del sector de construcción en Colombia : un análisis de valor compartido y modelos de gestión eficiente(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Romero Vera, Julia Sofía; Rocha Quiñónez, Leticia Gregoria; Díez Benjumea, Jhon MiguelPublicación Intervención comportamental para facilitar el estado atencional en las reuniones virtuales del grupo de lideres de gestión humana en la Unidad Estratégica de Negocio (UEN) Courier del grupo Logístico TCC(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Ortiz Lopez, Javier Alonso; Ortiz Tovar, Yimer; Londoño Villegas, Luisa Fernanda; Escobar Guerrero, Billy HarbeyThis research aimed to enhance the sustained attention state during virtual meetings of the Human Management team of the Courier Strategic Business Unit (SBU) at Grupo Logístico TCC in Medellín, Colombia, by promoting the systematic implementation of operational routines—repeated, observable, and context-adapted behavioral sequences executed with strategic intent (Feldman & Pentland, 2003, pp. 4-6) - the intervention sought to foster cognitive engagement and efficiency in digital environments, addressing issues such as digital fatigue, multitasking, and the structural improvement of meetings. The four-week intervention involved the application of the EAST model, supported by boosting strategies and complemented by default, visual, and contextual nudges implemented before, during, and after meetings, alongside meeting restructuring and the assignment of specific roles. The measurement, conducted through pretest and posttest assessments, utilized tiva Insights (Microsoft, s. f.) to evaluate operational routines, including no overlap with other meetings, avoidance of multitasking, meetings lasting one hour or less, timely joining and ending, and scheduling within working hours. These measurements were supplemented with surveys and systematic observations. Although the results did not show statistically significant changes in the variables analyzed by Viva Insights, suggesting incipient effects possibly limited by the small sample size or uncontrolled contextual factors, trends of improvement were observed, particularly in the punctual start and end of meetings, as well as reductions in average meeting duration and digital fatigue. These findings provide empirical evidence on behavioral interventions in virtual contexts, contributing to the field of organizational behavior and offering promising insights for future interventions with greater scope and methodological robustness.Publicación La formación dual y su incidencia en el aprendizaje organizacional de Globant una empresa de base tecnológica(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Gómez Palacio, Mariana; Monsalve Castaño, Daniel; Uribe de Correa, Beatriz AmparoThis degree work focuses on examining the impact of the Dual Vocational Training Model at Globant in Colombia, a technology-based company. Dual Vocational Training is an approach that combines theoretical teaching in academic institutions with practical training in companies. The study specifically seeks to show how this model has impacted the organization’s learning and productivity. In this case, organizational learning has been understood by Peter Senge, who has defined it as: the capacity of an organization to create, acquire, transfer knowledge and modify its behavior (2010). It is recognized that, although the dual model has a high impact on employability, its application in technological sectors with dynamic knowledge presents challenges, exacerbated in the Colombian context by aspects such as curriculum design, policies and incentives. Using a qualitative methodology, the perceptions, opinions, experiences and learning of the trainees and tutors who have participated in this training were analyzed. Finally, the study revealed that practical learning in a real work environment is more useful and effective than pure theory, ensuring the applicability of the knowledge acquired by the trainees and in turn generating a high impact on personal mastery and a medium-high impact on the mental models of the participants, fostering empowerment, self-management and a shift towards a contextualized and experiential learning approach.Publicación Metodología para optimizar la productividad en un centro de contacto(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) López Gutiérrez, Valentina; Villada Mosquera, Alejandro; Garzon Lasso, Fernando Alexander; Giraldo Hernández, Gina MaríaContact centers constantly face productivity challenges due to high staff turnover, absenteeism, and difficulties in forecasting operational demand. This study proposes a methodology to optimize productivity in such environments by integrating workforce management, human resources, and training variables. Through internal data analysis and the application of predictive models based on artificial intelligence, a successful advisor profile was identified, enabling the anticipation of turnover patterns and the improvement of recruitment and retention processes. As a result, the Dominó model was developed—an AI tool that classifies advisors according to their profitability, performance, and tenure—supporting strategic decisions to strengthen the contact center's operational chain.
