This research poses a business opportunity and a strategy for strengthening and commercial innovation, for this reason a feasibility study is carried out through the methodology of the United Nations organization for the Industrial Development UNIDO (as read in Spanish), which allows to determine the feasibility in the preparation and commercialization of an energizing product based on organic panela (sugar cane juice blocks), in the municipality of Cajibio (Cauca). The result in the consumer market of Cauca, directly affects the consolidation and diversification of market portions both nationally and internationally and consolidates the permanence of the workforce in the productive activity of the “panela” sector and the improvement in their quality of life. Therefore, it is based on considering the characteristics of the “panela” sector, the market and the strategic projection both at national and regional level, from a priority line of action that facilitates solving the problems and meeting the “panela” sector needs, along with strengthening and modernizing the panela agrobusiness in Colombia and in Cauca. Thus, through quantitative research, the studies are approached: sectoral and strategic, market, technical and environmental, organizational, legal and financial, at the individual and at a collective level that examine the viability of the project and the decision-making regarding investment and operation phases.
Estudio de factibilidad para la integración vertical en la línea textil dentro de la empresa de venta directa Ipanú

In the present research a feasibility study is carried out for the Colombian direct selling company Ipanú, in which the viability and profitability of performing a vertical integration in the company are evaluated, turning a purely commercializing company into a producer/commercializing. In Colombia, the direct selling sector has had an excellent performance in recent years, it is a highly competitive and changing sector. The objective of this vertical integration is to increase Ipanú's competitive advantage over its competitors, this achieved through control and its production, which will directly impact its efficiency, ability to react to demand and reduce costs. This feasibility study was conducted based on the guidelines of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) methodology and considers in its development the analysis of the environment, market, technical, financial, legal and risk. At the end of the document, you can find the conclusions drawn by the results of previous studies, allowing you to make the best decision for Ipanú.
Estudio de factibilidad para un sistema de alquiler de bicicletas en la comunidad académica de la Universidad Eafit

This document, the degree paper prepared as a requirement for the Master of Project Management of Universidad EAFIT, carries out the feasibility study for a bicycle rental project in the academic community of this university. For this, the guidelines of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) methodology are followed, which 10 allows to know the viability of a project through market, environmental, social, economic, technical, legal and financial studies, and perform a risk matrix. The idea arises from the identification of a business opportunity in Medellín, a city where there is a growing market related to sustainable mobility that show the incentive of the use of alternative means of transport such as the bicycle, the increase of people aware of environmental care and the increase in cycle paths –80 km of new ones in 2019–. All this makes the idea of implementing a bicycle rental project attractive, specifically on the campus that the university has in the city. The results of this research must provide a financial model and a matrix of risks and opportunities for the decision making of the implementation or not of the project by Renting Colombia, a simplified joint stock company.

The functional chipboard furniture that habits each space or place is important to generate a good feeling and comfort, convenience, tranquility and have a positive social impact. For this reason, people and companies increasingly give a greater strength to the achievement of functional and innovate space of everyday places, both at home and in companies. This degree work will study the pre-feasibility for the production and commercialization of functional furniture, based on chipboard for people and companies in Colombia. Study to be carried out through the ONUDI methodology, to evaluate the business idea. The constant need to furnish spaces and the rise the construction sector give rise to this undertaking, which will aim to identify and carry out market, technical, legal, administrative, environmental, financial and risk study, which will allow us to be reality, of the project and to be able to establish future projections regarding its viability, through the most important financial indicators and, in this way, to be able to make good decision.
Estudio de pre-factibilidad para el diseño e implementación de una aplicación tecnológica en las empresas de transporte de carga en Colombia

The demanding competitiveness in the industry and the economy demands the creation of new technologies and business processes as well as their application in supply chains, traditional and new, in which the transport sector is closely linked with its different processes. Due to the delay that affects the transporters to meet the needs of the placement of cargo vehicles, there is an inefficiency of time; the documentary registration processes in each company are slow for the current logistics needs, and they require a more agile management. In these frequent changes, in which the transport economy requires new challenges and practical solutions through technology, a pre-feasibility study is provided. Such study includes an analysis that allows the design and subsequent creation and implementation in the market of a mobile application. This technological tool will improve the time in the creation of the resumes of the carriers in the companies supplying different types of land cargo, in order to promote an optimization in the times and costs related to the transport where there are multiple variables, many of them of high relevance, but with little attention and measurement. This is a fundamental issue for the logistics operations in the loading processes to be the most efficient and effective.

This document corresponds to a pre-feasibility study for the creation of a logistics consulting company, aimed at providing services of supply chain management and operations aimed at companies in the industrial, manufacturing and marketing sectors of the Metropolitan Area of Valle de Aburrá in Antioquia, Colombia. To do this, an analysis was carried out under the ONUDI methodology that suggests carrying out a development process through the application of studies from seven different aspects that impact the business, starting with the surroundings study, market study, technical study, organizational study, the tax, and legal studies, going through the implementation plan, and ending with the analysis and financial evaluation. With the application of this methodology to achieve the analysis, it was determined that there is a market potential that allows to conclude that there is feasibility for the creation of the logistics consulting company, and, in addition, an implementation plan is sketched that includes a list of previous activities at the beginning of the business, a target market and an organizational structure to serve it, and with a portfolio of services to offer at the beginning of its existence, also a possible implementation schedule and a detailed budget with the cash flow of the project in the three first years of operation

The present investigation analyzes the feasibility for a project to take advantage of a minor natural gas field in Colombia, with the purpose of increasing the profitability of commercialization at Efigas S.A. ESP. The idea is born from the opportunity offered by regulatory and commercial flexibility for these production sources and the need to diversify supply sources to meet demand. To fulfill the objective, the UNIDO (1978; 1982) project formulation methodology is used, which includes feasibility studies, financial and risk analysis for informed investment decision-making.

This study evaluates the pre-feasibility to build an asphalt and crushing plant at the El Faro quarry, located on the road to Lisboa also known as Quiebra de Velez, 4km away from Manizales Caldas. The initial development is to take place using United nations industrial development (UNIDO) methodology, where all variables related to the construction phase are assessed in order to meet future material demand within the Caldas department. This includes the public infrastructure improvement works currently taking place such as housing commissions and 4G roadworks. The main objective of the study is the acknowledgement and understanding of areas such as environmental studies, surroundings and market analysis, including offer and demand of raw materials (asphalt, crushed rock, aggregates and structural fill). Furthermore, it is necessary to include technical studies to determine the machinery and civils works required for the plant operation, organizational study and meet legal environmental requirements including environmental licences and management plans. Lastly, the project risk and financial studies are declared for prospect investors decision making.

This paper aims to carry out a pre-feasibility study of a fintech-type startup, focused on crowdfunding for renewable energy projects through a digital platform which is supported by blockchain technology as a virtual commerce engine. Today Colombia is one of the countries with the highest generation of energy from renewable sources, especially hydroelectric. It is one of the countries with the highest energy sales in the region and therefore potentiates it as an object location for this project. On the other hand, Colombia, having regularization for crowdfunding type financing, allows having the ideal market niche for the purposes of this study. The development of this work was carried out through the ONUDI methodology, in which 7 detailed studies are carried out on the product of the project to model the target public, the raw material required, if it is legally viable and if it is financially ideal. and attractiveness for investors among other considerations that were studied and considered.

The objective of this work is to evaluate the prefeasibility of the project to create an startup in Colombia aimed at developing tailored and low-cost home automation solutions. With the study it is expected to obtain data that can make a decision regarding the most successful investment. For the work, the UNIDO methodology described in the Manual for the preparation of industrial feasibility studies was carried out.
