Framework of conceptual references: the concepts around which the references revolve are: Organizational Culture, work organization, Pandemic Covid 19. Method: The work is a qualitative, descriptive and cross-sectional study. The design was made with a case study based on semi-structured interviews with 10 employees of a manufacturing sector company who have been with the company for more than 2 years. Employees were either in the administration team or administrative roles of the operational team. The results were organized into four large blocks that highlight the sociodemographic data of the participants. The data related to each of the sociodemographic categories was further assessed as changes in the way the work was being performed as a result of the onset of the pandemic, or alternatively the effect of the formal or expressive elements and the core aspects of the organizational culture. Conclusions: According to the results obtained and their respective discussion analysis, it can be said that the main challenges for the company were driven by essential changes in the way work is performed. This is primarily as a result of the implementation of strategies focused on Biosafety for protection health of employees, all of these have an impact on finances and human resources. Additionally, most of the participants refer to changes such as the reduction of employees in the production plant as a result of the decrease in sales, the redesign of some procedures and work methodologies, the increase in workloads for some areas, the relationships to the interior and exterior product of, among other reasons, physical distancing and remote work. All those changes, as indicated by the participants, have been mainly leveraged by the participation of management in decisions and through the flow of resources to face the situation, as well as the ability of the organization itself to easily adapt to changing situations in the environment. Finally, it was concluded that the organizational culture was affected more in regard to formal or expressive elements than to core elements, leaving values as that aspect that only few subjects perceived as changing. Whilst changes in technology, work attire, the aesthetics and distribution of spaces were noted, the characteristics, of communicational style and rituals stood out as the most influential.Ítem Diferencias en el desempeño de empresas colombianas manufactureras según sus flujos de caja(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Andrade Fernández, Jeny Patricia; Burbano Velasco, Yenny Alexandra; Yepes Raigosa, David AlejandroThis study assesses whether the patterns of cash flows of operation, investment, and financing are potential predictors or indicators of financial difficulties (financial distress) for firms in the Colombian manufacturing sector between 2015 and 2018. For this purpose, the signs of cash flows classify companies based on the life cycle theory. This study found the significant relationship between cash flow patterns and financial distress incidence. The results obtained through the ANOVA and Welch's (1947) t-tests show that these flows determine various financial features of firms and motivate us to deepen the potential of cash flows as indicators of financial distress. This study is quantitative and exploratory, not experimental. The results obtained evidence that cash flow patterns based on the life cycle are a tool that has predictive capacity on future financial distress.Ítem Diseño de un modelo para la proyección, seguimiento y control del flujo de efectivo en las pymes del sector manufacturero, comercializador y servicios. Caso aplicado a los clientes de Covalentte SAS(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) España García, Daniela; Torres Sepúlveda, Carlina Yamile; Orozco Echeverry, César AugustoThe main objective of this field work was to develop a model that allows building projections, monitoring and control of cash flow in SMEs in the manufacturing, trading and services sectors, being tested in companies that are currently clients of Covalentte SAS, a company dedicated to providing accounting, tax, and legal advisory services to organizations with different business activities. To develop the model, the financial statements, accounting information, indicators and cash flow structure of the companies under study were analysed, in order to incorporate quantitative forecasting methods based on time series to predict future results in the short and medium term, as well as simulation for decision making. Finally, it was possible to test the model in 15 companies from different sectors which, through the execution of a survey, allowed validating the level of acceptance of the process, being the service companies those who gave it a better valuation because their sales, which in most cases are cash and do not incorporate the inventory component in their working capital structure, simplify with it their cash flow management, allowing informed decition maling by the companies managers.Ítem ¿Estamos usando los tratados de libre comercio? evidencia a nivel de transacción para Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Leal Valero, Cindy Paola; Acosta Mejía, Camilo AndrésThis paper analyzes the incidence of free trade agreements (FTAs) on the use of certificates of origin (CO) of exports in Colombia. With firm-product-destination level data, Difference-in-Difference models with staggered treatments that allow us to identify that the use of tariff preferences is reduced after the signing of a Colombian FTA However, exports of agricultural products use CO to a greater extent, compared to manufacturing products. It is concluded that the role of the elimination of non-tariff measures is key to achieve a better use of trade agreements.Ítem Estandarización de procesos en una empresa manufacturera de productos a base de aceite de coco(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Hernández Giraldo, Laura Cristina; Orejuela Gómez, Jonny Javier; Gutiérrez Soto, Gustavo AdolfoÍtem Estudio de prefactibilidad de creación de una compañía de consultoría en logística(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Trujillo Machado, Isaias; Escalante Gómez, Juan EstebanThis document corresponds to a pre-feasibility study for the creation of a logistics consulting company, aimed at providing services of supply chain management and operations aimed at companies in the industrial, manufacturing and marketing sectors of the Metropolitan Area of Valle de Aburrá in Antioquia, Colombia. To do this, an analysis was carried out under the ONUDI methodology that suggests carrying out a development process through the application of studies from seven different aspects that impact the business, starting with the surroundings study, market study, technical study, organizational study, the tax, and legal studies, going through the implementation plan, and ending with the analysis and financial evaluation. For this purpose, a qualitative approach study, with a descriptive scope and non-experimental design is proposed, derived from a review of secondary sources (books, magazines and scientific articles). The model developed is made up of four dimensions, each of them integrated by two perspectives. Dimension one, planning, contemplates two perspectives: planning needs and planning methodologies; and emphasizes on demand control forecasts, the master production plan, and manufacturing capacity. The second dimension, procurement, presents purchases and inventories as its constitutive perspectives and highlights features associated with stock analysis and control and subcontracting. The third dimension, manufacturing processes, considers two perspectives: manufacturing capacity and operational efficiency; it refers to the identification of competitive priorities and production configurations. The fourth dimension, logistics management, focuses, from the service level and distribution perspectives, on issues related to process integration, reliability and service levels.Ítem Gestión de la innovación de producto : estudio de caso en una empresa antioqueña madura(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Macias Cardona, Hugo Arles; Rivas Montoya, Luz María; Ponce Sagredo, SilviaÍtem Gestión financiera en el sector manufacturero colombiano en tiempos de crisis económicas(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Santamaría Chica, Daniel; Puerta Quintero, Gustavo; Arias Sánchez, Juan ManuelAn economic crisis refers to a period of decline and difficulties in the economic activity of a country or even at a global level presenting contractions in the economy, such as: production, employment, investment and consumption. Its origin can be due to both internal and external factors, the most common causes being: structural imbalances, financial crises, economic cycles and external factors. Thus, financial management plays an especially important role within the economy of companies since its objective is to face the unforeseen events that arise during the crisis and to be prepared for future situations in the environment. Therefore, the purpose of this work is to create a correlational model that allows identifying the strategies used by companies in the manufacturing sector, under conditions of high uncertainty such as the COVID-19 crisis, and to define which strategies had the greatest weight among the companies that managed to excel during this crisis and to conclude whether decisions could have been made that led to a more optimal result.Ítem Identificación de factores que inciden en la rotación de los trabajadores Millennials en una empresa manufacturera del Valle de Aburrá(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Herrera Rendón, Juan David; Betancur Hurtado, Carlos MarioEl presente trabajo busca explorar las causas que inciden en la rotación de los Millennials que trabajan en una empresa manufacturera del Valle de Aburrá, con el propósito de diseñar estrategias para mitigar este suceso.
