In addition, it will investigate whether the Colombian regulatory framework is prepared to address potential accidents caused by AI. For this purpose, two main areas will be explored: (i) the functioning of AI and (ii) the legal framework of tort liability in Colombia. Subsequently, the characteristics of AI and its dependence on human instructions will be analyzed to, finally, examine the theory of civil liability proposed by different authors and compare them with the legal perspective of foreign legal systems. This research seeks to understand and address the legal challenges of AI in autonomous vehicles, with the aim of contributing to the development of a fair and equitable legal framework in Colombia. In the context of customer service, can establish conversations with customers and they are trained to resolve their queries, problems and complaints. A chatbot’s skill to identify when a customer is not meeting their request represents a challenge for companies that currently use this technology. One of the strategies to avoid quitting the conversation for this reason, is to escalate or transfer the conversation to a human agent. Therefore, it is essential to detect when it is time to carry out this escalation. This project evaluates different Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, rule-based labeling algorithms, classical supervised machine learning models and a simple neural network for classification, applied to interactions between a customer service chatbot and a user, in order to find a mechanism for automatic labeling of the data and to build a model that can be used to make the decision on whether the customer should continue interacting with the chatbot or if he should be transferred to a conversation with a human agent. The labeling mechanism could also be used to classify historical data, to later train a model. Different models and techniques are evaluated and those with the best performance in detecting the conversations that should escalate to a human agent are presented.Publicación Análisis de las características y atributos de una herramienta de inteligencia artificial aplicable al modelo de relacionamiento comercial del segmento de clientes preferenciales de Bancolombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Saldarriaga Bonilla, Jonathan; Barcasnegras Ardila, Félix Ricardo; Uribe de Correa, Beatriz Amparo; Londoño Vélez, NataliaPublicación Aproximación a la ética digital hacia un desarrollo socialmente preferible de los sistemas de inteligencia artificial(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Guzmán Velásquez, Camilo; Lalinde Pulido, Juan Guillermo; Lalinde Pulido, Juan GuillermoPublicación Autonomous Cycle of Data Analysis Tasks based on Machine Learning Techniques for the Management of Small Agroindustrial Producers(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Fuentes Camargo , Jairo Alberto; Aguilar Castro, José Lisandro; This study was partially funded by Colombian Administrative Department of Science, Technology and Innovation - COLCIENCIAS (grant number 111572553478) (J. This plataforms attract users attention by costumization of content, wich is constructed from the knowledge extracted in the data mining process thanks to the personal data that every user yields with the use of the service. The purpose of personalization is the augmentation of time spent online thus, the amount of personal data given. This data is the fundamental asset to digital economy. Due to the wide knowledge derived from data mining and the profound social incertion that social media has, users get trapped onto a asimetric power relationship with the companies that provide this service wich directly impacts rights such as privacy. Even though privacy has international and national regulations, its guideline is not appropiate to face the current challenges.Ítem El currículo de un sistema tutorial inteligente(Universidad EAFIT, 1993) Atuesta Venegas, María; Universidad EAFITPublicación Demand forecasting in a manufacturing company, comparing traditional statistical and artificial intelligence models(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Vásquez Jaramillo, Daniela; Castro Zuluaga, Carlos Alberto; Almonacid Hurtado, Paula MaríaÍtem Derechos de autor en las obras asistidas por herramientas de inteligencia artificial(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Colorado Acosta, Martín; Herrero Escobar, Daniela; Toro Valencia, José AlbertoÍtem Desarrollo de librería para manejo de redes neuronales en Java para tecnofactor(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Arboleda Echeverry, Juan Camilo; Rincón Bermúdez, Rafael DavidThe aim of the present project is to design and develop a working library that enables the creation and adaptation of Neural Networks, defined in a way that is simple to use by Java developers. The solution takes shape in Monamate, a virtual AI-powered assistant that interacts via WhatsApp, enabling natural conversations, contextual feedback, and personalized recommendations. The methodological process combined qualitative interviews, surveys, and a five-day experimental test with 20 users, structured in three phases: diagnosis, proposal, and validation. Frameworks such as the Business Model Canvas, Design Thinking, and Lean Startup were applied. Key barriers, tensions, and motivations were identified using user archetypes (Cooper, 1999) and the Jobs to Be Done method (Christensen et al., 2016). During the experimental phase, value and growth hypotheses were formulated and evaluated according to Ries (2012), allowing analysis of the initial desirability, usability, and viability of the model. The results show a positive perception of the channel, high perceived utility, and willingness to pay, supporting the potential to scale the model. This early experiment informs key strategic decisions for the future development and monetization of the proposal, providing applied evidence for an innovative and context-sensitive educational solution.Publicación Diseño de un modelo de decisión para la retención del capital humano en el sector Business Process Outsourcing (Bpo) : el caso de Konecta-Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Muñoz Mora, Cristian David; Muñoz Mora, Juan CarlosPublicación Efectos de la inteligencia artificial en el mantenimiento de los sesgos cognitivos(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Montoya Gutiérrez, Santiago Andrés; Lemos Hoyos, MariantoniaPublicación El derecho al control humano en la inteligencia artificial : una propuesta de regulación del control humano como un nuevo derecho en el ordenamiento jurídico colombiano(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Sánchez Vásquez, Carolina; Díaz Diez, Cristian AndrésArtificial intelligence is one of the greatest technological developments of the 21st century and it has the ability to have a positive, but also negative, impact on human life. In this way, the use of artificial intelligence systems can result in the violation of fundamental rights such as equality, privacy, correct process and freedom of expression. In this scenario, the Law needs to respond to the new challenges that arise and offer avant-garde legal responses. One of them is the recognition of human control as a new right to guarantee oversight in the design and development of these systems in order to avoid affecting other existing rights.Publicación El Fact-Checking y la desinformación política en redes sociales durante los períodos electorales en Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Serna Cano, Elizabeth; Gándara Guerra, NereaThis research paper analyzes the role of fact-checking platforms in the detection and mitigation of political disinformation in social networks during electoral periods in Colombia. Based on a mixed approach, quantitative (survey to 121 citizens) and qualitative (in-depth interviews to three experts) techniques were combined to obtain a comprehensive view of the phenomenon. The results show that disinformation reaches its greatest intensity in electoral contexts, where sophisticated tactics are deployed that include images, audios and videos generated by artificial intelligence, as well as the strategic use of memes and humor to manipulate perceptions and polarize public opinion. Fact-checking platforms play an important role in the verification of information, although their scope and response capacity are insufficient in the face of the speed and magnitude of the spread of disinformation. It highlights the need to strengthen media and political literacy from basic education, as well as to implement regulations that promote algorithmic transparency without infringing on freedom of expression. The research concludes that the phenomenon of political disinformation represents a structural challenge for Colombian democracy, which requires a comprehensive and articulated response between civil society, the media, digital platforms and the State.Publicación Empatía y toma de decisiones en la entrevista de selección de personal : una aproximación teórica(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Restrepo Correa, Alejandra; Manrique Tisnés, HoracioObjective: stablish the importance of empathy on decision making in the process of em-ployee’s selection with the propose of contribute to the knowledge generated towards a subprocess of selection in the human management areas.
