Method: Qualitative study with descriptive approach, using a semi-structured interview to 12 Human Resources professionals in companies of Antioquia as an instrument of information collection. Results: The participants of the study are aligned with the definition of mental health issued by the OMS. Most of the promotion and prevention practices respond to compliance with legal regulations. Promotion and intervention practices are developed with our own resources and with the support of external entities. Most of the interviewees expressed that the Human Management area played a more leading role, due to the need to accompany people in the face of the uncertainty experienced as a result of the pandemic. They recommend leaders and companies in general to promote knowledge on mental health issues in order to favor support and early identification of mental health problems and to articulate the programs with the organization's strategy, while ARLs are recommended to provide support with new strategies, without discriminating the size of the company. Most of the participants state that they themselves are responsible for the care of their mental health. Conclusion: The concept of mental health corresponds to the OMS definition, practices for the promotion and prevention of health are applied, assuming a strategic role in the organization.Ítem Incidencia recíproca entre situaciones familiares críticas y el desempeño laboral en un grupo de funcionarios del área de gestión humana de una entidad pública de la ciudad de Medellín(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Londoño Chavarría, Sandra Milena; Gallo García, Dorys Norelle; Macía Serna, María IsabelThe performance of people at work has been a subject of study and permanent concern in organizations, hence the field is interested in how to ensure that workers are motivated and ready to contribute to the companies or entities in which they work. However, they do not always take into consideration the different variables that may have an impact on the performance of the employees who perform their daily work, ignoring personal and/or family aspects that may have a great influence on the results expected by the directors or managers of any organization. The purpose of the current research was to investigate the reciprocal incidence between critical family situations and work performance in a group of employees of the human resources area of a public entity in the city of Medellin, Colombia. This is based on a qualitative approach study, using the concepts of family, work, and performance as referents. And making use of the semi-structured interview instrument for the collection of information. As results, it was found that there is no reciprocal incidence between the two areas work-family, in which the two parties present a complementary relationship between the two spheres. Likewise, the general tendency of the participating subjects indicates that family relationships have a direct impact on work performance, having as repercussions a decrease in rhythm and productivity, and it was also identified that a bad work performance can generate conflicts within the family, discussions, and differences among its members. As strategies to mediate between the work and family environments, it is proposed that the subjects should try to differentiate the work environment from the family environment and pay attention to their priorities in different situations. In addition, emphasis is placed on the importance of the support of organizations in the implementation of programs that motivate and encourage good work performance, helping to overcome family difficulties. Finally, future researchers are invited to delve deeper into this topic in favor of mental health and the reduction of psychosocial risk in the work and family environmentsÍtem La Inteligencia Artificial aplicada al área de recursos humanos : una aproximación al estado del arte de la cuestión(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Rodríguez Hernández, Sandra Milena; Orejuela Gómez, Jonny JavierThe objective of this Systematic Literature Review (RSL) is to establish the state of the art regarding the use of artificial intelligence in human management processes.
