Comportamiento de la distribución salarial de los recién graduados en instituciones de educación superior en Colombia durante el periodo 2016 - 2021
(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Medina Erazo, Maiddy Tatiana; Chaparro Cardona, Juan Camilo
This paper performs an analysis on the salary distribution of graduates in Higher Education Institutions in Colombia, who were linked to the labor market one year after obtaining the undergraduate or graduate degree, during the period 2016 - 2021. A descriptive analysis was performed, through the estimation of a simple linear regression and a goodness-of-fit test, with the objective of determining whether the differences between the attachment salaries are statistically significant. Among the main findings, it is highlighted that the salary gap between men and women persists, and that graduates from private universities receive a higher entry salary than graduates from public universities. In terms of levels of education, at the undergraduate level, there is almost equal behavior in the starting salary of graduates in professional technical and technological fields; At the postgraduate level, there is a higher salary for the doctoral level, however, during the study period, this has decreased, leading to a decrease in the existing salary gap with respect to graduates at the master's level. Finally, with respect to educational programs structured by the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED), recent graduates in the field of health and welfare enter the labor market with a higher salary compared to graduates in other programs.

Diseño del plan exportador para la empresa SAI de la Universidad EAFIT
(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Carmona Tobón, Daniel; Ríos Molina, Carolina; Giraldo Hernández; Gina María
According to a study performed by Procolombia and the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications (2019), Colombia positioned itself as the fourth largest IT market in Latin America, and between 2010 and 2017 it doubled its software and IT sales. This analysis has identified software’s export opportunities in agribusiness, education, energy, financial, retail, health and transportation, to several destinations. Motivated by these conditions, SAI, a company created inside the EAFIT University, has decided to promote the sale of its software in the international market, since this is a complete information system that allows the proper management of various processes in higher education organizations. With that being said, the design of the export plan is presented below as a consultancy process, applying the established methodology of diagnosis, the preselection and application of variables in four external markets, the analysis of software as a service in the selected country, and finally, the action plan, in order to facilitate to the company the successful access to the global market.

Estructuración de una PMO para la Universidad Católica de Manizales
(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Jiménez Tabares, Freddy Armando; Díez Benjumea, Jhon Miguel
This degree work presents the proposal of the structure of a Project Management Office (PMO) for the Catholic University of Manizales, as a support for the formulation and management of institutional projects. In order to achieve this objective, we start with the evaluation of project maturity within the institution, under the Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3). The OPM3 methodology provides a structured assessment of project management maturity, which allowed identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the university. On this basis, a PMO was designed that fits UCM's needs, defining its objectives, functions, services and organizational structure. The proposed PMO serves as a reference framework for project management at the university and allows for the establishment of a continuous improvement process.

This degree work addresses knowledge management practices in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in Medellin, specifically in the Internationalization area of the Corporación Universitaria Remington and the New Business area of the Universidad EAFIT. Problems such as the lack of synergy between types of knowledge, barriers in the flow of knowledge, and the underestimation of intellectual capital are identified. Through a qualitative approach and a multiple case study, current practices are analyzed and strategies are proposed to improve knowledge management, with the objective of developing dynamic capabilities that generate competitive advantages. The research highlights the importance of strategic leadership commitment and the integration of appropriate technologies to optimize knowledge management. In addition, it highlights the need to overcome structural, cultural and individual barriers that hinder the flow of knowledge between people and groups. It also emphasizes the relevance of valuing and managing intellectual capital as a valuable intangible asset that can influence the sustainability and social relevance of HEIs.
