By market, environment, sectorial, finances, legal and risks studies, that let us cover the nine insights defined by Osterwalder, a business model will be developed to show an operational plan, an organizational structure and a value proposal that allows them to decide continuing or quitting their current jobs.Ítem Estudio de factibilidad de crear un centro de servicios compartidos para el sector funerario de Colombia, que tenga sede en Manizales(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Mejía Ramírez, Juanita; Gómez Salazar, Elkin ArcesioIn the present document are presented the report of the research carried out in the Master in Project Manager at EAFIT University, which has the general objective to carry out a feasibility study for the creation of a Shared Services Center for the Funeral Sector of Colombia, which was based in Manizales. To achieve this, a descriptive and qualitative research methodology with quantitative elements was used, in which especially the variables of the financial study were measured, to facilitate the decision-making. In turn, the UNIDO methodology is the guide with which the feasibility study was developed. For the marketing study, a semi-structured survey was used, using non-probabilistic sampling. Also, the collection of information was complemented with interviews with experts in both the funeral and in the BPO sector. Taking into account not only the financial evaluation of the project but also the investor, in which it is established that the NPVs are positive and the IRR is greater than the discount rate in all scenarios, the analysis of all its components lets conclude that it is a viable and feasible project. They are also visualized of the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and weaknesses. compare with the proposed solution in the other offers of the current market, both locally and globally.Ítem Estudio de prefactibilidad para la creación de una empresa de limpieza y desinfección en Medellín, Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Romero Tenjo, Diana Paola; Gómez Salazar, Elkin ArcesioThe objective of the present degree work is to analyze the pre-feasibility of creating a cleaning and disinfection company in the city of Medellín, through the implementation of the methodology for the preparation and evaluation of Onudi projects, for which a project investment through the detailed analysis of seven studies: sectoral, market, technical, organizational, legal, environmental, financial and risk analysis was developed. The results obtained in each study was framed by the significant changes in consumption habits after the covid-19 pandemic, which was experience worldwide from March 2019 to mid-2020. These changes included habits related to improvements in health and well-being, as well as in consumer promotion channels, where digital transformation forced companies to reinvent themselves to reach their customers through e-commerce. Teleworking allowed for greater connectivity between companies during this isolated period, which led to people spending more time in their homes, so families were encouraged to increase the consumption of cleaning products and to contract cleaning and disinfection services. This habit continued after overcoming the health crisis. In the case of Colombia, companies implemented biosafety protocols according to their economic activity, required by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, which led to an increase in contracting with companies specialized in this field, to comply the required standards and protocols required to resume the face-to-face attendance. The previous panorama allowed an increase in the creation of cleaning service companies in the country, to satisfy not only the current demand in homes, but also in the business environment under new quality and service standards, key points that were taken into account throughout this investigation. Based on the previous studies and in a risk analysis, it is concluded that it is a low-risk project for the investor which makes it viable to execute the project.Ítem Estudio de prefactibilidad para la instalación de una planta de triturado y asfalto en la Cantera el Faro en el municipio de Manizales(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Osorio Ceballos, Stefania; Gómez Salazar, Elkin ArcesioThis study evaluates the pre-feasibility to build an asphalt and crushing plant at the El Faro quarry, located on the road to Lisboa also known as Quiebra de Velez, 4km away from Manizales Caldas. The initial development is to take place using United nations industrial development (UNIDO) methodology, where all variables related to the construction phase are assessed in order to meet future material demand within the Caldas department. This includes the public infrastructure improvement works currently taking place such as housing commissions and 4G roadworks. The main objective of the study is the acknowledgement and understanding of areas such as environmental studies, surroundings and market analysis, including offer and demand of raw materials (asphalt, crushed rock, aggregates and structural fill). Furthermore, it is necessary to include technical studies to determine the machinery and civils works required for the plant operation, organizational study and meet legal environmental requirements including environmental licences and management plans. Lastly, the project risk and financial studies are declared for prospect investors decision making.Ítem Estudio de prefactibilidad para la oferta de bonos de carbono en cultivos y de reforestación de terrenos baldíos en Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Vélez Posada, Melissa; Salazar Gómez, Francisco Javier; Giraldo Hernández, Gina MaríaThis work aims to formulate a pre-feasibility study to evaluate the viability of offering carbon credits in the crops and reforestation of wastelands in Colombia by means of the ONUDI methodology. For this, the factors and conditions of the environment such as the political, economic, social, technological, ecological and legal aspects that affect the project are analyzed, in addition the market conditions are reviewed to identify the product, the place, the price and the promotion, the technical, administrative and legal aspects of the project are described, to review the role of intermediation between the interested parties, the farmers and the construction companies that need to compensate their emissions. And the project is financially evaluated using the criteria of cash flows, income statement, internal rate of return (IRR) and net present value (NPV). The results show that the project is viable for the case of a probable scenario and that it has a potential client in the construction guild, which must comply with the regulations of compensation of emissions by industry. The estimated price of carbon credits is 80 USD per ton of CO2 compensated. There is an opportunity to develop a project in this field, specifically in Bogotá. To assess the viability of the project, studies were conducted in key areas such as the environment, technology, legality, and finances, following the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) methodology. These studies allowed for analyzing the project's feasibility from different perspectives, considering potential environmental impacts, technical feasibility, legal compliance, and financial profitability. This comprehensive approach provides a solid foundation for making informed decisions regarding implementing the project in Bogotá's craft beer market.Ítem Factibilidad para la creación de una empresa productora de peces y hortalizas con el sistema de acuaponía en Guayabal de Síquima, Cundinamarca(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Gónzalez Amador, Ana María; Liévano Rodríguez, Eharle; Salazar Gómez, Francisco Javier; Uribe de Correa, Beatriz AmparoThis document presents the food supply issues due the growing world population, the impact they have on the environment and the production systems, and the potential alternatives to produce foods, excelling aquaponics. Starting from this potential solution to the proposed problem, we detailed the reasons to conduct a feasibility study and its benefits. The milestones of the study were established as the specific objectives and six studies were developed as part of the feasibility evaluation, set as the main objective. The general context is established through the conceptual framework, and the instruments to be applied among this work were outlined in the methodological study. Starting from the methodological design, the studies were conducted: environment and industry study, to describe the context in which the aquaponics project will be located, using the PESTEL analysis; the market study to assess, based on a survey, the consumption trends of the target population, the products to be marketed, the competitors, the possible price ranges, the market places and the strategy to capture potential customers; the technical study, to determine the geographical location and the general size of the project; the administrative study, which defines the work team, their profiles and roles; the legal study, to describe the process to create and operate the company; and finally the financial study, to establish the required budget and how it will be invested, the projected income statement, some financial ratios and different scenarios were addressed to determine the feasibility of carrying out the project.
