Ítem Los activos humanos como factores de Competitividad de la empresa y su tratamiento contable(Universidad EAFIT, 2002) Moreno, InésRico, José Miguel; Universidad de SevillaÍtem Análisis regional de las brechas del capital humano relacionado con el embarazo adolescente en Colombia (2000-2015)(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Mogollón Vargas, Rubi Juliana; Vélez Uribe, Esteban; Ceballos García, Grey YulietThis study examines the relationship between teenage pregnancy and school dropout in Colombia between 2000 and 2015, using data from the National Demography and Health Survey. Through the use of Propensity Score Matching, it analyzes how early motherhood affects the accumulation of human capital, identifying regional and temporal differences in formal education. The findings suggest that teenage pregnancy results in a lower accumulation of human capital, manifested in reduced years of schooling. Although the gaps have decreased over time, notable differences persist between regions. The study underscores the importance of implementing comprehensive policies that not only prevent teenage pregnancy but also support the educational continuity of young mothers, aiming to strengthen the country's socioeconomic development.Ítem Análisis regional de los efectos de la educación y la experiencia en los salarios de Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Rúa Ramírez, Mateo; Rivera Duque, Esteban; Medina Gaspar, Daniel SantiagoÍtem Consideraciones sicológicas sobre la participación(Universidad EAFIT, 1968) Betancourt O., Gustavo; Universidad EAFITÍtem Crecimiento Económico con Pobreza y Desigualdad en Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2009-03-15) Franco González, HumbertoThe present article, shows that problems concerning poverty and inequity must be faced and treated with policies that, while still promoting a country’s economic growth, should involve actions seeking to reduce the inequalities existing between members of a society. In such a case, the state should implement support strategies for the poorest part of the population with the goal of raising their productivity and thus augmenting their possibilities of an active enrollment in the labor market along with an income that can help to fully satisfy their needs. In this perspective, the matter of education claims a leading role, taking into account subjects ranging from theoretical advances directly akin to the topic of economic growth to the empirical evidence available on the issue. Such demonstration is accomplished by starting from a revision of literature regarding economic growth and making a critical analysis of the Colombian economy’s diagnosis, emphasizing on the variables that relate directly to the problem being considered.Ítem El desarrollo o las múltiples formas de decir siempre lo mismo*(Universidad EAFIT, 2007) Carreira, Ana María; Universidad EAFITÍtem Determinantes de la caída observada en la tasa de matrícula de primer curso en programas de educación terciaria en Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Amaya Villegas, Yenni Alexandra; Pérez Restrepo, Natalia Eugenia; Tobón Zapata, SantiagoThis work, we empirically analyze some of the determinants of the number of students enrolled in higher education programs, using the case of Colombia. In the analysis, we used data on first-year enrollments from the Ministry of National Education between 2000 and 2018, information from the Ser Pilo Paga program, which awarded higher education scholarships in high-quality accredited institutions between 2015 and 2018, and the Colombian labor information registered by the Ministry of Labor. For the empirical analysis, we performed panel regressions of data at the municipal and annual level, with fixed effects in both directions, which allows us to control for the fixed unobserved heterogeneity for each municipality over time, and fixed for all municipalities in each year. The results suggest that in the face of increases of 1% in the population between 15 and 19 years of age, the offer of tertiary education programs and enrollment have increased at all educational levels, but mainly at the technical and technological level, and in non-accredited institutions of the country. The Being Pilo Pays program increased the offer in university programs and enrollment in programs of accredited institutions in the country.Ítem Educación preescolar en Colombia : una historia económica nacional y subnacional(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Correa Martínez, Wendy; España-Eljaiek, IrinaÍtem Education and Poverty: The Hypothesis of the Individualand Social Capital(Universidad EAFIT, 2009-05-25) Del Valle, Alejandro H.; Universidad Nacional de Mar del PlataÍtem Empoderamiento femenino : ¿es el género femenino y algunas variables concernientes a este, determinantes importantes en el PIB per-cápita de los países?(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Arcila Laverde, Jesús Esteban; Bohórquez Correa, SantiagoFemale empowerment is considered one of the main keys for the development of countries, mainly in monetary terms. Higher levels of female empowerment mean higher per-capita income for society as a whole. Tertiary education for women is seen as the main transforming factor for both women and societies; However, according to different authors raised in this research, there are other variables concerning the female gender and framed within the definition of female empowerment, which may have implications on the per-capita income of the entire society beyond the educational factor. An econometric regression of 6 variables is then carried out (identified through an extensive literature review) with variables related to the female gender as independent variables and the GDP per capita of the countries as the dependent variable, by means of a panel data model and with this, the true effect of them on GDP per capita is found, to later contrast with the analyzed literature and give reliable conclusions about the real effect of female empowerment.Ítem El futuro nos habla... y en EAFIT dialogamos con él(Medellín : Universidad EAFIT, 2023-03-27) Restrepo Montoya, Claudia Patricia; Escobar Arango, David; Universidad EAFIT; Universidad EAFIT; ComfamaÍtem Gestión humana basada en competencias contribución efectiva al logro de los objetivos organizacionales(Universidad EAFIT, 2000) Gallego, Mery; Universidad EAFITÍtem El impacto del cambio técnico endógeno y el sesgo de calificación laboral en la distribución de los ingresos salariales : caso Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Ríos Agudelo, Yohan Sebastian; Botero García, Jesús AlonsoÍtem La informalidad del subsistema de compensación en la pequeña industria hotelera de la ciudad de Medellín(Universidad EAFIT, 2018) Piedrahíta Córdoba, Danny Marcela; Orejuela Gómez, Johnny JavierÍtem Ingeniería humana(Universidad EAFIT, 1968) Ortiz C., Norckzia; Universidad EAFITÍtem Menos violencia, más crecimiento- Caso colombiano: 2005-2015(Universidad EAFIT, 2017) Moreno Plese, David; Trujillo González, Natalia; Gómez Toro, Catalina; Torres García, AlejandroThis article presents an analysis of how economic growth at the departmental level in Colombia between the years 2005-2015 has been affected by crime -- The objective is to establish the existing relationships between these variables, by the increase in security expenditure that occurred during the presidency of Álvaro Uribe Velez in the period 2002-2006, so it is based on the hypothesis that investment in security increases confidence in the country, which stimulates domestic and foreign investment, and finally is reflected in a significant and positive way in economic growth -- To corroborate this, a dynamic data panel model of the Arellano Blundell-Bond form is implemented, where the results corroborate the inverse relationship between the crime and the departmental outputÍtem Organizational structure, human capital and collaboration networks: determinants of innovation capability in restaurants(Universidad EAFIT, 2018-06-29) Delgado Cruz, Alejandro; Vargas Martínez, Elva Esther; Rodríguez Torres, Federico; Montes Hincapié, Juan Manuel; Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México; Universidad Latina de América; Universidad de MedellínÍtem El papel del Estado en la inserción laboral de los becarios doctorales en Colombia (2000-2022) : una perspectiva de capital(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Castro Urango, Gildardo; Vieira Silva, Juan GuillermoÍtem Prácticas administrativas en el manejo de personal en el área de Medellín(Universidad EAFIT, 1967) Cook, Arthur; Escobar, Luis; Universidad EAFITÍtem Problemas y lógicas Diferentes en la gestión de los recursos humanos en Chile y en Europa(Universidad EAFIT, 1999) Montupil, Fernando; Universidad Libre de Bruselas
