Ítem La calidad del aire en la Ciudad de México y en el Valle de Aburrá: Una problemática contextual presentada de manera coyuntural(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Bravo Nieto, Sofía; Hernández Espinosa, Mariam; Estudiante de Ciencias Políticas, Universidad EAFITÍtem Élites económicas vs. candidatos ‘outsiders’ o antiestablecimiento en Colombia : elecciones presidenciales 2018 = Economic elites vs. candidates 'outsiders' or anti-establishment candidates in Colombia: Presidential Elections 2018(Universidad EAFIT, 2017-10) Machado Correa, Jaime; Giraldo Gómez, Miguel A.; Universidad EAFITThis article presents the findings of an investigation in which we question the framing that El Tiempo and El Colombiano have given to the presidential candidacies of Sergio Fajardo, Claudia López and Jorge Robledo. The existence of biases in the coverage is evaluated, and the local and national levels are compared in order to evidence the existence of similarities and/or differences. The impact, influence, owners and ideological tendency were the determining factors for the choice of such media. The study uses both an analytical table that accounts for the publications of the chosen media on the candidates to determine the attributed frame, and journalistic standards to analyze such frame (actors, sources and adequacy)Ítem Fracking en El Tiempo : ¿contribución a la deliberación democrática? = Fracking in El Tiempo: a contribution to democratic deliberation?(Universidad EAFIT, 2018-12) Vahos Pérez, Andrea; Universidad EAFITThis article deals with the role of the media in its contribution to citizen deliberation. It investigates whether the way in which El Tiempo covered the fracking issue favored public reasoning by offering quality information. To determine this, 51 journalistic contents were analyzed to establish if the media developed the most outstanding and polemic elements about this technique, namely: its economic, environmental and social incidence. In this regard, a relevant finding is the privilege given to certain sources that showed this extraction technique as an economic necessity and opportunity; a fact that generated a significant bias, since the arguments necessary for a reflective debate, such as the environmental and social risks inherent to fracking, were deliberately overshadowedÍtem La gestión de redes políticas conformadas por la sociedad civil para incidir en políticas públicas : el caso NiñezYA(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Garay Molina, Natalia María; Leyva Botero, Santiago; Turriago Borrero, Carolina
