OLS results are compared to those of Instrumental Variable regression for categories of products. Data related to work-related mobility restrictions is used as an instrument for the price time series with the intention of capturing the supply shock resulting from the first months of quarantine associated with COVID-19. Results were found to vary significantly between product categories but overall elasticity coefficients were being underestimated by the OLS modelÍtem Estrategias de continuidad en la cadena de suministro en empresas de manufactura y sus retos frente a la COVID-19(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Corrales Estrada, Juan Manuel; Garzón Lasso, Fernando AlexanderÍtem Estudio de prefactibilidad de creación de una compañía de consultoría en logística(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Trujillo Machado, Isaias; Escalante Gómez, Juan EstebanThis document corresponds to a pre-feasibility study for the creation of a logistics consulting company, aimed at providing services of supply chain management and operations aimed at companies in the industrial, manufacturing and marketing sectors of the Metropolitan Area of Valle de Aburrá in Antioquia, Colombia. For this purpose, a study with a quantitative approach, descriptive scope and non-experimental design is proposed, in which 39 suppliers are evaluated based on their level of risk and importance for the organization. The constructed matrix proposes four categories: strategic (high financial impact – high supply risk), profitable/leveraged (high financial impact – low supply risk), habitual/routine (low financial impact – low supply risk) and critical (low financial impact – high supply risk), recognizing significant differences in terms of their acquisition and relationship logic. The results identify 14 strategic suppliers (69.6% of the annual purchase volume in COP), zero (0) usable (0.0% of the annual purchase volume in COP), six (6) habitual/routine (4.4% of the annual purchase volume in COP) and 19 critical (26.0% of the annual purchase volume in COP).
