Ítem Análisis de los programas de adulto mayor en Sabaneta y sus beneficios en la salud física, cognitiva y psicológica(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Sánchez Henao, Natalia; Jiménez Londoño, Laura María; Ceballos García, Grey YulietÍtem Impacto de la economía del comportamiento en la práctica de actividad física como estrategia de prevención del riesgo cardiovascular(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Sánchez Gómez, Cristian Orlando; Rodríguez Muñoz, Luisa Fernanda; Arango Ochoa, JuliánThis work aims to design and apply behavioral economics strategies that help to encourage the practice of physical activity to reduce cardiovascular risk. For this purpose, qualitative and quantitative elements are used to understand the main barriers to the practice of physical activity, from preferences, beliefs, and information processing biases. The main behavioral biases found from the ethnographic analysis are the Status quo, overconfidence and temporal inconsistency or short-termism. From the experimental analysis, that consisted of developing a sports challenge and other experiments or nudges, primary data on the behavior of the clients was obtained. For the evaluation of the nudges, econometric models were built, which delivered the following results: 1) participation in a sports challenge is a nudge and could be a good incentive for changing the behavior of physical activity. 2) other types of tactics, such as handing over more redeemable points or deployment to implementation intentions, show no substantial difference when it comes to incentivizing behavior change. This research is a good input for the design of reward models in the insurance industry.
