Recuperación de la embocadura a través de la práctica consciente : reflexión autoetnográfica de un intérprete del corno francés

Physical and mental health are fundamental to the lives of professional musicians, for whom the body is a vehicle for generating sound through the instrument. Using an autoethnographic approach, this research paper addresses the process of embouchure recovery in a French horn player after losing three teeth. Collected data, through journals and audio reflections, was analyzed based on four categories—mindset, emotion-motivation, effective practice, and technique—from which four themes emerged to explain the strategies used by the author of this paper during his recovery process: Acceptance and perseverance as keys to the recovery process; Resilience and visualization: a path to a successful recovery; Changing study habits: between the mirror and conscious practice; and From breath control to muscle strengthening.
