Resumen
The Maintenance Research Seminar of Universidad EAFIT (SIME) and the Intelligent Transportation Systems Research Seminar (SiSIT) belonging to the research group GEMI, are integrated by undergraduate and graduate students, alumni and professors, who together build a space where they learn the work of research and explore their creativity to respond to the needs of the industry and society in the search for social, economic, legal and environmental sustainability. Currently, public passenger transportation companies need to increase their revenues, improve the quality of the service provided, and reduce operating and maintenance costs. At the same time, with the rise of the fourth industrial revolution, the integration of information and communication technologies is necessary to improve the performance of the operation and maintenance of the transportation system. Therefore, the purpose of this formative research project is to integrate decisions oriented to the maintenance and operation of public transportation systems, while fostering cognitive and research skills in the members of the participating research groups. Expected results include participation in international events on social appropriation of knowledge and the design of a decision-making model for transportation systems.

El Semillero de Investigación en Mantenimiento de la Universidad EAFIT (SIME) y el Semillero de Investigación en Sistemas Inteligentes de Transporte (SiSIT) pertenecientes al grupo de investigación GEMI, están integrados por estudiantes de pregrado, posgrado, egresados y profesores, que en conjunto construyen un espacio donde aprender la labor de investigar y exploran su creatividad para dar respuesta a las necesidades que la industria y la sociedad tienen en la búsqueda de la sostenibilidad social, económica, legal y ambiental. en la actualidad, las empresas de transporte público de pasajeros requieren aumentar sus ingresos, mejorar la calidad del servicio prestado, y reducir los costos de operación y mantenimiento. A su vez, con el auge de la cuarta revolución industrial se hace necesaria la integración de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación para mejorar el desempeño de la operación y el mantenimiento del sistema de transporte. Por ello, el propósito de este proyecto de investigación formativa consiste en integrar las decisiones orientadas al mantenimiento y la operación de los sistemas de transporte público, a la par de fomentar habilidades cognitivas e investigativas en los miembros de los semilleros de investigación participantes. entre los resultados esperados se destacan la participación en eventos internacionales de apropiación social del conocimiento y el diseño del modelo de toma de decisiones para sistemas de transporte.
