This document discloses the recommendations given by the authors to the company, Oil Company S.A., as a result of the financial valuation of three different technical alternatives proposed for the restarting of the Libertad oil field and Estrella crude oil treatment station. The authors are based on financial concepts and tools, such as: 1. Valuation, which allows to build projections and financial planning, 2. Cash flow method, using the cost of weighted average capital that, as an advantage, contemplates free cash flow discounting the costs and expenses incurred in the operation, 3. Econometric models, that allows the estimation of high impact variables. This document will be part of the tools used by the management of the Libertad field, in order to make them able to support the final choice that generates the most value, and in this way focus all its resources on a short, medium and long term strategic plan that help them to achieve the objectives of the company.

Este documento da a conocer las recomendaciones dadas por los autores a la empresa Oil Company S.A. sobre la evaluación financiera de tres alternativas técnicas propuestas para el rearranque del campo petrolero Libertad y su estación de tratamiento de crudo Estrella. Para lo anterior los autores utilizan conceptos y herramientas financieras tales y como: 1. Evaluación, que permite construir proyecciones y planeación financiera, 2. Valoración, usando el costo del capital promedio ponderado, que como ventaja contempla el flujo libre de caja descontando los costos y gastos incurridos en la operación, 3. Modelos econométricos, para la estimación de variables de gran impacto. Este documento reúne las herramientas con las que la gerencia del campo Libertad, podrá sustentar la decisión de la alternativa que genere más valor, y de esta forma focalizar todos sus recursos en un plan estratégico a corto, mediano y largo plazo que permita alcanzar los objetivos de la compañía.
