Resumen
The objective of this work is to identify the implementation of the Planes de Vida Integral (PIV) in the Municipal Planning System within the framework of the Public Policy for the protection of the rights of indigenous peoples residing in the Municipality of Medellín. The analysis is carried out through the verification of the inclusion of actions declared in the PIV for the fulfillment of the guarantee of respect for their cultural practices, worldviews and needs, and in the way in which, in these actions, their forms of social organization and access to natural resources in the territory are integrated. Hence the importance of opting for a qualitative methodology through documentary review, with a descriptive scope based on the search for information in institutional repositories of the municipal administration to know the Planes de Vida Integral of the towns settled in the territory of Medellín and the documents that specify the Municipal Planning System. Thus, this research is relevant due to the commitment of society and especially of the Colombian State, on the vindication and protection of the rights of indigenous peoples, especially since these rights continue to be violated and constitutional mandates are ignored in which the recognition and respect for indigenous peoples is ordered.

El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo identificar la implementación de los Planes de Vida Integral (PIV) en el Sistema Municipal de Planeación en el marco de la Política Pública para la protección de los derechos de los pueblos indígenas residentes en el Municipio de Medellín. El análisis se realiza por medio de la verificación de la inclusión de acciones declaradas en los PIV para el cumplimiento de la garantía al respeto a sus prácticas culturales, cosmovisiones y necesidades, y en la manera en que, en esas acciones, se integran sus formas de organización social y el acceso a recursos naturales en el territorio. De allí la importancia de optar por una metodología cualitativa por medio de la revisión documental, con un alcance descriptivo a partir de la búsqueda de información en repositorios institucionales de la administración municipal para conocer los Planes Integral de Vida de los pueblos asentados en el territorio de Medellín y de los documentos que concretan el Sistema Municipal de Planeación. Así pues, la presente investigación cobra relevancia por el compromiso de la sociedad y en especial del Estado colombiano, sobre la reivindicación y protección de los derechos de los pueblos indígenas, máxime que estos derechos se siguen vulnerando y se pasan por alto mandatos constitucionales en los que se ordena el reconocimiento y respeto por los pueblos originarios.
