dc.description.abstractEn música, se denomina "tempo" a la velocidad e intención general de una composición, la cual se mide en pulsos por minuto o bpm (del inglés beats per minute). Pero el "tempo" es mucho más que una simple indicación de velocidad: es el ritmo que nos une, el latido invisible que nos invita a sincronizarnos con la obra y con quienes la interpretan. Si bien cada cultura, época y tradición musical tienen una manera particular de sentir y expresar el tiempo, este tiene una cualidad universal: nos permite pensar en el colectivo, en la comunidad que comparte la experiencia de la música.
dc.description.abstractIn music, "tempo" refers to the speed and overall intention of a composition, measured in beats per minute (bpm). But "tempo" is much more than a simple indication of speed: it's the rhythm that unites us, the invisible beat that invites us to synchronize with the work and its performers. While each culture, era, and musical tradition has a particular way of experiencing and expressing the "tempo", it has a universal quality: it allows us to think about the collective, the community that shares the experience of music.
