dc.description	Las ciudades inteligentes, o Smart Cities, son un tema que a nivel mundial se viene desarrollando hace más de 20 años, y que cada vez se torna más importante a medida que avanza la tecnología y el desarrollo urbanístico de las ciudades; es así como grandes ciudades han comenzado a investigar e implementar sistemas y estrategias para el bien de la comunidad y su desarrollo. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo principal estructurar un estudio de prefactibilidad para la implementación de un sistema de Smart Cities para el municipio de Envigado, bajo el cumplimiento del actual plan de desarrollo, teniendo en cuenta los pilares de la sostenibilidad y el crecimiento de la población en la zona urbana del municipio, buscado mejores condiciones de vida para los ciudadanos, mejores prácticas de mantenimiento y mejorar los tiempos en la toma de decisiones administrativas. Las fuentes utilizadas para el desarrollo del presente estudio muestran el avance significativo que ha tenido el desarrollo de soluciones que lleven a una ciudad a catalogarse como inteligente y que mejore las condiciones de vida de sus habitantes, y, a su vez, confirman que el municipio de Envigado cumple con las condiciones para iniciar el proceso de implementación de dichos sistemas. Es importante resaltar que el desarrollo de este estudio está en concordancia con el plan de desarrollo actual 2024-2027, el cual busca implementar sistemas que impulsen el desarrollo tecnológico del municipio, su conectividad, el cuidado ambiental y las mejores condiciones de vida de sus habitantes. En conclusión, la posible implementación del proyecto es importante para el desarrollo sostenible del municipio y la calidad de vida de sus habitantes.
dc.description.abstract	Smart cities are a topic that has been developing worldwide for more than 20 years, and that is becoming increasingly important as technology and urban development of cities advance. This is why large cities have begun to research and implement systems and strategies for the good of the community and its development. The main objective of this work is to structure a pre-feasibility study for the implementation of a Smart Cities system for the municipality of Envigado, under compliance with the current development plan, taking into account the pillars of sustainability and population growth in the urban area of the municipality, seeking better living conditions for citizens, better maintenance practices, and improving the times in administrative decision-making. The sources used for the development of this study show the significant progress that has been made in the development of solutions that lead a city to be classified as smart and that improve the living conditions of its inhabitants, and in turn, confirm that the Municipality of Envigado meets the conditions to begin the process of implementing said systems. It is important to highlight that the development of this study is in line with the current development plan 2024-2027, which seeks to implement systems that promote the technological development of the municipality, its connectivity, environmental care and better living conditions for its inhabitants. In conclusion, the possible implementation of the project is important for the sustainable development of the municipality and the quality of life of its inhabitants.
