Publicación Diseño de modelo de negocio de turismo comunitario y responsable en el municipio de Quibdó, Chocó(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Rodríguez Barajas, Juliet Stefany; Giraldo Hernández, Gina MaríaThis research aims to analyze community-based and responsible tourism in the municipality of Quibdó, capital of the department of Chocó. Taking these characteristics into account, a sustainable and environmentally friendly business model was designed, adapted to the natural, social, and economic conditions of the area, characterized by its great ecological and cultural diversity. Thus, it is possible to explore, care for, and conserve natural resources responsibly through the structuring of a sustainable business model that contributes to the development and quality of life of its local inhabitants, while offering its visitors a different cultural, religious, and gastronomic experience. The collection of information for this research was carried out through a questionnaire applied to more than 100 people associated with this economic activity, which allowed obtaining a general perspective on the current reality of the municipality in aspects such as tourism, informality, access costs to tourist sites, lack of tourist infrastructure, among others. Finally, a proposal was presented for the structuring of a business model in accordance with the needs and opportunities identified during the development of this research work.Publicación El rol de la participación comunitaria en el desarrollo de servicios turísticos y el fortalecimiento de la marca ciudad.(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Bedoya Jiménez, Julián Esteban; Mejía Gil, María Claudia; Astorquiza Bustos, Bilver AdriánLos Conquistadores neighborhood of Medellín city in Colombia has been place for social transformations and spaces appropriation, among these, social actions that, for more than five years, have been carried out by some inhabitants from organized groups such as the Junta de Acción Comunal (JAC) and the collective of artists Conquistarte. These transformations are an example of what has been happening in the city, which is why a study was carried out on collective actions and their effect on the transformation of the neighborhood. To achieve this, a mixed methodology was applied, which consisted of interviews with eight experts representing the groups, stakeholders and inhabitants; two group sessions in order to identify the representations around the participation to the various events resulting from the aforementioned actions and a quantitative analysis using the Ordinary Least Squares technique was introduced with the aim of analyzing a set of socio-economic indicators of the city such as homicides, robberies and toilet service; ; finally three creative workshops with the stakeholders with the aim of developing low fidelity prototypes of tourist services.
