    This study analyzes the potential of a social enterprise as a response to the deficit of human talent with comprehensive and relevant training, to work in the hotel microenterprises of Cusco, Peru, a situation that affects hotel staff and business performance. From a qualitative approach, the research seeks to identify key factors for the formulation of a social enterprise oriented to the formation of human talent in hospitality for local microenterprises, with the purpose of strengthening the social economy and contributing to local development. The analysis is framed within the principles of the solidarity economy and integrates the literature review on social enterprise, tourism, hospitality and microenterprises, along with the examination of the national and local context in employment, education and hotel training. Also, surveys of hotel workers and microentrepreneurs were applied to know their working conditions, training needs and professional development expectations. The results -which highlight the need for training programs in hospitality that are practical and adjusted to the demands of workers and microenterprises- were used for the initial design of training programs. On the other hand, the formulation of the social enterprise was based on models of social innovation, in which strategic alliances are a central element. In this sense, formulation promotes the articulation between the public sector, private sector, third sector and educational institutions.
