Publicación Modelo de adopción de transformación digital para Pymes(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Solís Durango, Oscar Andrés; Tabares Betancur, Marta Silvia del SocorroIn recent years, SMEs have faced an accelerated digital transformation due to the benefits it brings to corporate resilience. However, this has not been easy, as it must be accompanied by a strategic process that involves cultural, organizational and technological changes at the corporate level. This article presents a digital transformation adoption model for SMEs made up of three components: organizational readiness, technological adoption, and cultural change; the model is based on the enterprise architecture discipline - TOGAF framework, and the COPRAS method. To achieve this, a literature review was carried out that allowed characterizing the digital transformation adoption processes for SMEs; this was complemented with a survey that allowed understanding the challenges, capabilities, opportunities and obstacles that SMEs face during this process. Once the model was defined, its possible adoption was validated among the participants of the initial survey. The results showed that, according to the components of the model, companies prioritize as initial capabilities: organizational impact, technological adoption, information security, comfort in using technology, technological talent and support from management that prioritize the metrics: ROI, cost reduction, information technology infrastructure, availability, leadership management and adaptation to change. Finally, it can be concluded in general that SMEs are willing to adopt and adapt a digital transformation process supported by TOGAF and COPRAS, since by being able to measure capabilities early, the model allows them to accelerate the digital transformation process in a more comprehensive and disciplined way.
