Therefore, promoting sustainability across all economic sectors is essential to foster conscious and responsible growth. Based on this premise, this work presents the adaptation of a Guide for the design and communication of sustainable strategies, focused on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the service sector in Colombia. The project was developed by applying the guide in a legal consulting firm specialized in environmental matters, aiming to evaluate its effectiveness, identify potential improvements, and propose adjustments for effective implementation. Through a qualitative case study methodology, the research included a literature review, a pilot test of the guide, and a survey of 30 service-sector SMEs in Medellín and Barranquilla. The results revealed that, although there is interest in sustainability within the sector, barriers such as limited resources, lack of specialized knowledge, and restricted access to information still persist. The pilot test helped identify the strengths and limitations of the guide, leading to proposals for improvements in the tools, as well as the structure and clarity of the instructions. Moreover, it was found that using the guide could generate cost savings for companies and facilitate progress in sustainability processes. This research contributes to corporate sustainability in SMEs by proposing tools adapted to the needs of these businesses and supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).Publicación ¿Influyen los puntajes ASG en las decisiones de inversión? Evidencia empírica para las empresas del Índice S&P Latin América 40(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Marín Lotero, Verónica; García Aristizábal , Juliana; Correa García, Jaime Andrés; No aplicaÍtem Innovación y mercadeo digital como herramientas para el aumento del ingreso en una muestra de 44 empresas de sostenibilidad(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Medina Vélez, Nicolás; Fonseca Rodríguez, Andrés Felipe; Cárdenas Echeverri, FernandoThis paper investigated the impact of innovation and digital tools on the size measured in income of SMEs, this as a solution for the development and growth of the business model due to changes in market dynamics, since 70% of small and medium enterprises fail in the first 5 years. To estimate the impact, data was collected through a survey of SMEs, and using the OLS econometric model illustratively to compare its results with the ordered logit and probit models. The results show that SMEs that have been operating in the market for a longer time have higher revenues, the higher the digitalization the lower the sales and finally there is not enough evidence to conclude that having any innovative process is related to an increase in sales. These results can be explained by the fact that the more they experiment with the use of digital tools, the more they may become unfocused on their business model and that innovation in this type of companies is not the source of growth.Publicación Metodología para priorizar e implementar estrategias sostenibles bajo AHP y PRiSM en pymes colombianas(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Reyes Maldonado, Nydia Marcela; Gómez Castaño, María Clara; Niño Muñoz, Diana PatriciaPublicación Modelo de gestión del conocimiento para el desarrollo de capacidades dinámicas en una empresa de tecnología de Información en Colombia : caso Sophos Solutions(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Villegas Hincapié, Angela Cristina; Tabares Quiroz, JulianaThis work seeks to make a proposal for a knowledge management model for an information technology company, which contributes to the development of dynamic capabilities as a platform for achieving business sustainability.
