Publicación Estrategia para la circularización de la economía circular del sector textil en el municipio de El Santuario(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Bedoya Tamayo, Paula Andrea; Mejía Dugand, SantiagoThis research proposes a strategy for circularizing the economy within the textile sector of El Santuario, Antioquia. The primary objective is to enhance the environmental, economic, and social sustainability of the region. A diagnostic assessment of current textile waste management revealed a predominant linear model, which has led to negative impacts such as a reduced landfill lifespan and increased operational costs for businesses. A qualitative methodology, employing descriptive and exploratory approaches, guided the research through three phases: key stakeholder mapping, waste stream characterization, and an analysis of organizational culture. These insights facilitated the design of a strategy specifically tailored to the local context, articulating technical, cultural, and institutional actions. The proposed strategy encompasses integrated waste management, the reuse of by-products, the formalization of recyclers, the creation of inter-institutional alliances, and the promotion of an organizational culture based on sustainability principles. Furthermore, an implementation timeline, monitoring indicators, and funding sources were defined.
