Ítem Estudio de prefactibilidad para emprender una Pyme de producción y comercialización de ropa deportiva en Colombia en canales digitales(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Ortiz Granada, Daniel; Uribe de Correa, Beatriz Amparo; Salazar Gómez, Francisco JavierThis prefeasibility study pretends to analyze the viability of starting a business for production and commercialization by digital media of sportswear (or athleisure) for men and women. To determine the viability or not of the project, first a problem statement was made that consists of analyzing how in the last 30 years there has been a trend in people to implement healthy lifestyle habits in their routines, accompanied by changes in fashion that have allowed the use of athleisure to evolve into part of daily clothing. These trends are replicated in Colombia and, in general, in Latin America, which suggests that there is a space for growth in the athleisure market that could be interesting. Then, the general objective was to determine the viability of starting an athleisure company that sells its products by digital media, accompanied by specific objectives that help define the viability of the project. To achieve the objectives, several studies were carried out. First, a study of the environment and sector, using the PESTEL Analysis tool and Porter's 5 Forces. Then, a market study was made, through the analysis of Product, Price, Place and Promotion of 4 types of sportswear products (2 male and 2 female). Next, a technical study was carried out where aspects such as the location, size and engineering of the project are analyzed. Based on these three studies, the organizational aspects of the project were defined, such as its business structure, positions and functions, salary budgets and legal aspects for the creation of a company. Finally, a financial evaluation of the project was made based on all the previous analyzes and the viability of the project was determined.Ítem Estudio de prefactibilidad para la creación de empresa de ropa deportiva, comercializada en Estados Unidos y producida en China(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Fernández Somoza, Daniela; Gómez Salazar, Elkin ArcesioThis prefeasibility study evaluates the viability of establishing a sportswear company by leveraging the growth of the U.S. market and the production advantages in China. In a context where the global sports fashion industry is rapidly expanding, the study highlights the increasing demand for high-quality and innovative design products, especially in the women's segment. The research employs a quantitative approach and follows the UNIDO methodology to conduct sectoral, market, technical, organizational, legal, risk, and financial analyses. The literature indicates that the United States offers a robust market with sustained demand, while China provides competitive production costs, advanced infrastructure, and an efficient supply chain. Additionally, the cultural and commercial synergies between the two countries, which facilitate the production and marketing of the products, are considered. The relevance of exploring global opportunities, the academic importance of integrating multidisciplinary knowledge, and the practical applicability of guiding future ventures in the sports fashion industry motivated master’s in project management student, Daniela Fernández Somoza, to develop this study. The specific objectives include analyzing the sector, studying the market, developing a technical and financial plan, and assessing the project's risks.Ítem Exploración del mercado estadounidense de consumidores de ropa interior deportiva colombiana(Universidad Eafit, 2019) Adarve García, Carolina; Ceballos, Lina María; Rojas de Francisco, LauraThis research sought to know the American consumers of sports underwear. To achieve this goal, a survey is conducted online, with a sample of 145 American consumers who evaluated the characteristics of sports underwear, the importance of these in their purchasing decisions and the perception they have about the country brand of Colombia, based on concepts such as attitudes, purchase decision and product qualities. As a result, it was found that millennials (men and women between 21 and 40 years old) are the generation that cares most for their underwear and, specially, that it is made of 100% cotton, which makes them an ideal market for this category. Likewise, within the most relevant characteristics when choosing underwear are the functionality (usually related to comfort), the material and the design. Unlike the previous characteristics, the price has little influence on the purchase decision. Most respondents report a positive attitude toward the country brand of Colombia, but not at in a high level, so it is recommended to avoid focusing on this communication during marketing efforts of this category in the United States. The findings provide information on important factors in the decision making of American consumers in relation to sports underwear, to achieve successful developments and sales of these products in the United States.
