The design of the PMO seeks to improve project management and improve the use of resources to ensure the provision of quality services to customers and / or users. The process began with a detailed analysis of the company's current situation, followed by the identification of the main problems and areas for improvement. The objectives of the PMO were then defined and the processes, policies and procedures necessary for its implementation were followed. Tools for project management were designed, such as the definition of roles and responsibilities and the implementation of a monitoring and control system. In addition, the need for the necessary human resources of the company is presented, in order to ensure the proper implementation and operation of the PMO. This analysis will allow us to determine which Project Management Office (PMO) best fits the particularities and requirements of our organization. After identifying the ideal type of PMO, we will focus on defining the specific services that it will provide, always considering established priorities and seeking to optimize the use of the budget to generate the greatest positive impact on our company's project management. It were carried out the environment study, the market study to analyze the supply, the demand and the marketing strategy; the technical study, which established the location, size and engineering of the project; the organizational, legal and environmental study; and finally the financial evaluation and risk analysis was carried out, to know the impact on the profitability of the project and determine its viability.Ítem Estudio de factibilidad para la creación en Colombia de una productora y exportadora de bouquets florales a Estados Unidos para la empresa Allure Farms(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Uribe Gómez, Juan Diego; García Johnson, Santiago; Salazar Gómez, Francisco Javier; Uribe de Correa, Beatriz AmparoThe following analysis is done in the context of the fresh cut flower industry for the North American market, taking in account the seasonal characteristics which determine each commercial season, its supply chain logistical complexities and commercial configuration (Producer, Importer, Wholesaler and Retailer). It also considers Colombia's potential not only as a producer of raw materials, but also its potential to add value in an industry which has usually characterized its role as the producer of the commodity. Based on these assumptions of the industry, we set out to study the feasibility for the creation in Colombia of a producer and exporter of floral bouquets to the United States for the North American company Allure Farms. This approach was carried out using tools and methodologies which facilitate the analysis of the macro-environment, the market, administrative and legal aspects and finally its financial viability. All of the above has been carried out due to the professional experience of its authors both in the industry itself and also in certain disciplines required for the study, acquired during the tenure in EAFIT’s MBA and the expert methodological and thematic supervision of this project’s advisors.Ítem Estudio de factibilidad para la elaboración y comercialización de un nuevo producto energizante a base de panela orgánica del municipio de Cajibio (Cauca)(2019) Betancourt Arenas, Jhonnathan José; Jose Mauricio Tobar GuinandThis research poses a business opportunity and a strategy for strengthening and commercial innovation, for this reason a feasibility study is carried out through the methodology of the United Nations organization for the Industrial Development UNIDO (as read in Spanish), which allows to determine the feasibility in the preparation and commercialization of an energizing product based on organic panela (sugar cane juice blocks), in the municipality of Cajibio (Cauca). The result in the consumer market of Cauca, directly affects the consolidation and diversification of market portions both nationally and internationally and consolidates the permanence of the workforce in the productive activity of the “panela” sector and the improvement in their quality of life. Therefore, it is based on considering the characteristics of the “panela” sector, the market and the strategic projection both at national and regional level, from a priority line of action that facilitates solving the problems and meeting the “panela” sector needs, along with strengthening and modernizing the panela agrobusiness in Colombia and in Cauca. Currently in Colombia there are a large number of competitors in the furniture market, most companies offer wood products for the home, which are restricted to specific uses, little diversity in materials, traditional production without technology, low productivity and poor management of the raw material. Due to this, this product was devised that is multifunctional, environmentally sustainable and versatile to decorate any space where it is used, providing design, innovation and autonomy as an added value.
