Publicación Estilos de intervención en el conflicto y comunicación asertiva, un comparativo en los equipos de proyecto del Programa Kratos de la Universidad EAFIT(Universidad EAFIT, 2026-03-09) Montoya Bernal, María Alexandra; Gallego López, Francisco DarioThis study analyzes the relationship between conflict intervention styles and assertive communication with the performance levels achieved by project teams in the Kratos Program at EAFIT University, a quantitative approach is adopted, based on the measurement and numerical analysis of related variables, using a descriptive methodology, data collection employed the Thomas-Kilmann (TK) Instrument for conflict intervention styles, the Modified Rathus Assertiveness Scale for assertive communication, and the program's Performance Rubric. This allowed for a comparison of the results and behaviors of a high-performing team with those of a team with room for improvement, the results reveal clear and observable differences in how the teams manage everyday conflicts and express their disagreements, or lack thereof, assertively. The study found that the high-performing team showed a greater tendency toward collaborative styles and more consistent levels of assertive communication, while the team with room for improvement exhibited greater variability in conflict management styles and less homogeneous levels of assertiveness. These findings suggest that a tendency toward collaborative styles in conflict resolution and a higher level of assertive communication may be associated with better performance levels in project teams when pursuing common goals.
