The analysis investigates the logistical, technical, and financial capabilities of the company CI IBLU S.A.S. and assesses the market conditions in the United States for wood products like choibá, known for its use in architectural finishes, particularly in humid outdoor environments. The methodology follows the ONUDI guidelines for project evaluation. The study examines several key areas: the economic and environmental, the construction sector in Florida, the competition from imported woods, notably from Brazil, and the operational capacity of CI IBLU S.A.S. in Colombia. It also addresses logistical, legal, and environmental considerations relevant to exporting these products. The findings suggest that CI IBLU S.A.S. could capitalize on the devaluation of the Colombian peso and the increasing demand for such wood products in the U.S. market. However, the company must navigate competition from established exporters like Brazil. To successfully enter this market, implementing a strategy focused on differentiation and price competitiveness will be crucial.Ítem Análisis de prefactibilidad para la implementación de una planta de residuos sólidos(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Builes Taborda, María Isabel; Montaño Largo, Paola Andrea; Guerrero Latorre, Jorge HarleyThe municipality of Corinto, Cauca, faces significant challenges in the management of its solid waste, with approximately thirty-one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two inhabitants and a considerable monthly production of urban waste. This waste is deposited in an open dump, which causes environmental damage to the soil, air, and water. Although in the rural area there is some use of organic waste, the lack of environmental awareness and the lack of adequate education contribute to the contamination problem. This degree work focuses on conducting a pre-feasibility analysis for the implementation of a solid waste plant in Corinto, Cauca, with the objective of developing sustainable practices that contribute to the proper management of waste and to the strengthening of environmental conservation in the region. A mixed research methodology will be used, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches to evaluate the feasibility of the project. The methodology is adapted to the preinvestment phase and considers technical, regulatory, environmental, and economic aspects of solid waste management. It began with an environmental analysis, followed by a technical study that provided information on project requirements. Legal aspects were also evaluated, as well as possible environmental impacts, proposing measures to mitigate them. Finally, a financial analysis was carried out to evaluate the profitability of the project, using indicators such as the Net Present Value and the Internal Rate of Return. This work seeks to offer an integral solution for solid waste management in Corinto, Cauca, that promotes environmental sustainability and contributes to the integral development of the territory.Ítem Análisis de prefactibilidad para la implementación de una planta de residuos sólidos(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Builes Taborda, María Isabel; Montaño Largo, Paola Andrea; Guerrero Latorre, Jorge HarleyThe municipality of Corinto, Cauca, faces significant challenges in the management of its solid waste, with approximately thirty-one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two inhabitants and a considerable monthly production of urban waste.
