Framework of conceptual references: the concepts around which the references revolve are: Organizational Culture, work organization, Pandemic Covid 19. Method: The work is a qualitative, descriptive and cross-sectional study. The design was made with a case study based on semi-structured interviews with 10 employees of a manufacturing sector company who have been with the company for more than 2 years. Employees were either in the administration team or administrative roles of the operational team. The results were organized into four large blocks that highlight the sociodemographic data of the participants. The data related to each of the sociodemographic categories was further assessed as changes in the way the work was being performed as a result of the onset of the pandemic, or alternatively the effect of the formal or expressive elements and the core aspects of the organizational culture. Conclusions: According to the results obtained and their respective discussion analysis, it can be said that the main challenges for the company were driven by essential changes in the way work is performed. This is primarily as a result of the implementation of strategies focused on Biosafety for protection health of employees, all of these have an impact on finances and human resources. Additionally, most of the participants refer to changes such as the reduction of employees in the production plant as a result of the decrease in sales, the redesign of some procedures and work methodologies, the increase in workloads for some areas, the relationships to the interior and exterior product of, among other reasons, physical distancing and remote work. All those changes, as indicated by the participants, have been mainly leveraged by the participation of management in decisions and through the flow of resources to face the situation, as well as the ability of the organization itself to easily adapt to changing situations in the environment. Finally, it was concluded that the organizational culture was affected more in regard to formal or expressive elements than to core elements, leaving values as that aspect that only few subjects perceived as changing. Whilst changes in technology, work attire, the aesthetics and distribution of spaces were noted, the characteristics, of communicational style and rituals stood out as the most influential.Ítem Desempeño financiero durante la pandemia y propuesta de sostenibilidad para la empresa Holcim Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Grajales Villa, William Andrés; Alarcón Rico, Mariana; Durango Gutiérrez, María PatriciaÍtem Enseñanzas de la virtualidad al mundo del trabajo(Universidad EAFIT, 2000) Revista Universidad EAFIT; Universidad EAFITÍtem El estrés en las estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Santo Ángel : una descripción de la pandemia y el regreso a clase(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Botero Ramírez, Mariana; Cuartas Arias, Jorge MauricioGeneral objective: to identify how the students at the Santo Angel high school perceived their mental and physical health, school and peers, and family relationships; given the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic and the return to presential classes. (2009), "the child stress assessment: inventory of daily stressors" (IIEC), this test was directed to girls between 8 and 14 years of age of the Santo Angel high school. Results: It was found that the perception of the students of Santo Angel regarding the pandemic and post-pandemic had variations, although these differences in their scores may indicate a correlation. We did not focus on using statistical tools that would allow us to affirm this, due to the type of study and the particular interest in the perception of the students, therefore, the content of the results yields data of an experiential nature, as to, how they felt and how they perceived the different situations that the questionnaire enunciated.Ítem Impact of Covid-19 preventive measures on the electricity demand in Colombia during the first year of the pandemic(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Quintero Gutiérrez, Laura Victoria; García Rendón, John JairoÍtem Impacto de las medidas preventivas del COVID-19 sobre la demanda de electricidad en Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2024-02) Quintero Gutiérrez, Laura Victoria; García Rendón, John; Gutiérrez Gómez, Alejandro; Universidad EAFIT; Escuela de Finanzas, Economía y Gobierno; Valor Público EAFITDurante la pandemia del COVID-19 los confinamientos estrictos cambiaron las rutinas de la sociedad y afectaron las actividades de los sectores económicos en todo el mundo. It is characterized as an exploratory and qualitative study. To this end, the application of two standardized and validated psychometric tests in the Colombian context was carried out: the screening test for symptoms associated with mental disorders SRQ18 (Climent & De Arango, 1983), and the scale of perception of family APGAR family functioning ( Smilkstein, 1978), in addition to collecting basic sociodemographic information, about the preventive isolation decreed by the Colombian government, and the pandemic caused by the Covid virus19. The participating population is made up of 189 citizens between the ages of 18 and 73, who currently reside in one of the municipalities of the Valle de Aburra Metropolitan Area. With the arrival of the pandemic and its restrictions, telework presented an exponential increase in institutions, transferred the care of patients from their homes. Given this important growth, it was necessary to evaluate the capacity for teamwork, cooperation, leadership, problem solving and quality of life in three health institutions in the region. A descriptive quantitative analysis and proportions differences were carried out for independent variances of the different responses. Of the total of 51 surveys, 48 met inclusion and exclusion criteria, finding that 66.6% (n = 32) of the respondents had provided the teleconsultation service, with no differences between medical and surgical specialties, they had worked for about 5.93 ± 0.65 hours a day for 9.18 ± 1.3 months. For 72% (p <0.05) of those surveyed, teleconsultation turned out to be useful and for 56.3% it was easier to collaborate with another specialty in this modality, 65; 6% report having had fewer conflicts and ease to solve them, although most of them (40.6%) prefer a face-to-face meeting to solve them. 62.5% of those surveyed have not seen their administrative functions altered and even perceive an improvement in the quality of family life, however, 59.4% report an increase in their workload. Based on these results, we can conclude that teleworking in the region is being carried out by a significant percentage of the population, it allows teamwork, cooperation, access to other specialists, it requires adaptation to the form of leadership, it has a low percentage of perception of difficulties, improves the perception of the quality of family time, but it is perceived with an increase in the workload. It shows the need for training by the institutions for their staff to avoid burnout syndromes.
