    The purpose of this proposal is to diagnose and design a PMO for a company that provides public utilities in the city of Quibdó - Colombia. The design of the PMO seeks to improve project management and improve the use of resources to ensure the provision of quality services to customers and / or users. The process began with a detailed analysis of the company's current situation, followed by the identification of the main problems and areas for improvement. The objectives of the PMO were then defined and the processes, policies and procedures necessary for its implementation were followed. Tools for project management were designed, such as the definition of roles and responsibilities and the implementation of a monitoring and control system. In addition, the need for the necessary human resources of the company is presented, in order to ensure the proper implementation and operation of the PMO. In conclusion, the implementation of a Project Management Office (PMO) will improve project management and optimize the use of business resources, which will result in a better service delivery to customers and an increase in the efficiency and profitability of the company.

    Diseño de una oficina de gestión de proyectos para el área de infraestructura del Sistema Estratégico de Transporte Público de pasajeros para la ciudad de Pasto

    AVANTE SETP, se crea como una unidad administrativa especial del orden municipal, para dirigir la implementación del sistema estratégico de transporte público (SETP) del municipio de Pasto; su principal objetivo es brindar a la población un servicio de transporte público que mejore las condiciones de accesibilidad y calidad en prestación del mismo -- Una de las principales características que el SETP debe cumplir, es contar con la infraestructura vial requerida para desarrollar el sistema, la cual contempla la construcción y mantenimiento de 71.5 kilómetros -- AVANTE SETP, cuenta con un grupo de profesionales encargado de desarrollar los proyectos propuestos para el área de infraestructura; según el documento CONPES 3549 de 2008, estos profesionales no cuentan con las suficientes competencias respecto a la correcta administración de proyectos, justificando así la implementación de una oficina de dirección de proyectos, que le brinde a la entidad mejores prácticas, técnicas, herramientas, acceso a la información y control de los proyectos que se desarrollan, a través de las áreas de conocimiento de gestión de alcance, tiempo y costo

    Diseño de una PMO para Chef Company

    The digital marketing industry has shown a great growth in recent years, supported by digital transformation processes, in which organizations are immersed in this transformation, as a key element to improve their competitiveness, which means greater profitability and productivity. In this sense, this work aims to give to Chef Company guidelines for the creation of a project management office that supports processes associated with project management, in order to improve the performance of the organization, and to respond to this growing market, which is increasingly demanding at the methodological level. To achieve this goal, a diagnostic survey was applied, based on the maturity model of PM Solutions, by Crawford (2015), which indicates that in project management this organization has level 1, the lowest maturity level. This level implies that, for some knowledge areas of the Guide of PMBOK (PMI, 2013), Chef Company does not have established processes for project management, so it is one of the main tasks to be developed by the PMO, which is recommended. Based on the obtained results, recommendations were generated for each component of the maturity model, supported by PMI standard good practices, and the structure, the methodology and the performance indicators for Chef Company PMO were defined. All this aiming to reach the second level of maturity in project management within a period of six months, so an implementation plan is proposed establishing priorities according to the most critical components. Finally, the results of this work can be used in continuous improvement process of project management in the organization.

    Diseño y estructuración de la oficina de gestión de proyectos (Project Management Office, PMO) de Arkix S.A.S.

    This degree work will design and deliver the necessary elements for the structuring of the PMO (the Project Management Office) of Arkix, a digital marketing agency located in Medellin, aimed at generating comprehensive digital strategies for large companies nationwide. Specifically, the work seeks to guide the areas of Digital Experiences towards the strategic objectives posed by management. This exercise will lead to a design proposal that allows an optimal restructuring of the project management practice in the company. For this, three actions will be carried out in this work. In the first place, the current state of the company will be explored, followed with a view to choosing the most appropriate methodology, in order to carry out the diagnosis of maturity in project management; finally, this information will be the basis for designing the most successful PMO structure. This PMO model will lay the foundations to combine the methodologies, standards, certifications and DNA of the company with the management trends of projects that are being at the forefront of the market. All of the above will lead the company to continuing to mature its capacity, performance and agility in the execution of projects.
