    Over time, it has been shown that the development of actions, projects and any activity framed in the production, generation of value and/or sale of increasingly relevant products and services, is strengthened when an adequate synergy is achieved between actors that contribute what they know how to do best in the construction of products and services. Based on this, the development of alliances, agreements and other forms of cooperation in the industrial sector whose purpose is focused on the union of knowledge and experiences to create a service or a product with the best possible characteristics is of great importance; however, and recognizing that the purpose of creating an alliance always seeks to improve the conditions regarding carrying out a process, project, activity jointly that when developing it individually, there are some aspects that become imperative to achieve not only the objective of the alliance but also that the opposite effect does not occur and transcends the affectation of corporate, professional and / or personal relationships. It is in this instance that the interest arises to investigate, evaluate and validate the most relevant aspects in the alliances that are created in organizations for the development of products and provision of services that allow the achievement of objectives and become sustainable “win-win unions” and that in parallel mitigate the risk of affectations at different levels.

    Análisis de los fondos de pensiones obligatorias en el desarrollo y evolución del sistema financiero colombiano

    The following work has as main objective to carry out an analysis of the role that pension funds have in the development and evolution of the Colombian capital market, as direct agents in the investment management of the different assets traded therein, helping the dynamism and Stability of our developing economy. It will begin with a brief account of what the pension system is in Colombia, mentioning its evolution and the turn it had since the creation of Law 1328 of 2009 that allowed the creation of Multifunds. Subsequently, the growth they had from 2009 to May 2019 is analyzed in parallel with the evolution of the capital market. Finally, the main tax reforms that had an impact on the funds and their contribution to the generation of savings and investment will be examined.

    Aplicando la metodología ágil Lean Start-up en SOTECHCO

    SoTechCo inició actividades en mayo del 2013 y se constituyó formalmente en febrero de 2014 con el objeto de entregar una propuesta de valor en arquitectura empresarial de aplicaciones, centrada en el diseño del software y soportada en herramientas tecnológicas y metodologías de arquitectura -- Se comenzó con la presentación del plan de negocio para posteriormente iniciar la solicitud de recursos financieros -- Estos procesos se realizaron con apoyo de entidades del gobierno colombiano y en paralelo se trabajó con una convocatoria privada para gestionar recursos económicos -- En el proceso se generó una disyuntiva que permitió trabajar con la metodología ágil Lean Start-Up definida en este documento, la cual se enfoca en la necesidad del cliente y de escucharlo, logrando disminuir la incertidumbre que genera el mercado -- Al combinar estas metodologías con herramientas de gran potencial se permite diseñar el modelo de negocio de acuerdo con las necesidades del mercado, validarlo e innovarlo según el feedback del cliente -- Por último se expone el proceso elaborado y soportado bajo herramientas tradicionales para posteriormente trabajar con metodologías ágiles -- Se muestra qué ocurrió cuando se decide adoptar la metodología ágil ‘Lean Start-up’ y cómo cambió el proceso que se estaba realizando -- Desde otra perspectiva se observa como el mercado recibe la información soportada en esta metodología y cómo el tiempo de ejecución se disminuye con referencia a la herramienta tradicional

    Articulación entre el propósito organizacional y los objetivos estratégicos en empresas colombianas

    This paper explored how Colombian companies articulate organizational purpose with the strategic objectives, through a bibliographic review of primary sources for the ten best positioned Colombian companies as per Dinero (2018) & Semana (2018) ranking. Two companies at mining and health was analyzed. Definition about organizational purpose was built. Other strategic statements were consolidated such as: mission, vision, values, sustainability policy, sustainability objectives and organizational strategy. Interviews were conducted in two specific companies. The analysis shown purpose was not an aligned concept at the companies analyzed, most of companies confused purpose with other strategic statements such as Mission and Vision. The alignment of the organizational purpose with the strategic objectives was just 16%.

    Caja única como estrategia para las empresas de transporte público : caso de la empresa Cootrasana

    This research aims to analyze a successful cases in the Aburrá Valley, of companies that provide urban public transport service, specifically, the company Cootrasana, which implemented a management system called Unified Box. Through the collection of primary information, semi-structured surveys, and secondary information like financial statements of Cootrasana company that includes the period 2000 and 2007, the implementation of the Unified Box is described and the benefits are shown. The Cootrasana company demonstrated that it is possible to reorganize companies and move from an affiliate model to a model where the fleet is fully managed, orienting the business model to improve the service provided to the population that uses the service. This work evidences the shortcomings of the affiliate models in collective public transport, shows the benefits of the implementation of the Unified Box and, through testimonies from relevant mobility actors, validates the importance of seeking a reorganization in companies that provide an essential public service.

    ¿Capacidad institucional o pereza fiscal? Incidencia del Sistema General de Participaciones en el recaudo de ingresos corrientes de libre destinación de los municipios en Colombia

    This work analyzes the incidence of the flow of resources of the Sistema General de Participaciones (SGP) in the capacity of collecting free destination current income of the municipalities. A data panel methodology with municipal and temporary fixed effects is used, between 2008 and 2018, in a sample of 1,101 municipalities. The results suggest that the effect of the SGP transfers on the collection of free destination current income is heterogeneous and depends on the historical level of transfers of the municipalities. The municipalities that historically receive fewer transfers, decrease their collection with more transfers (they enter into dynamics of fiscal laziness). The municipalities that historically receive more transfers, increase their collection with more transfers (they enter into institutional strengthening dynamics). This effect is generated when the effect is analyzed simultaneously or concurrently. On the contrary, when the effect is analyzed in longer terms, it is evident that the same negative, being able to conclude that the transfers generate dynamics of fiscal laziness in the long term.

    El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo caracterizar el centro corporativo de Leonisa para entender cuáles han sido los propósitos para la conformación de las diferentes empresas del grupo, cuáles son las principales funciones empresariales y administrativas del centro corporativo y cuál ha sido la estructura adaptada por la compañía con el transcurrir de los años para alcanzar la estrategia como empresa multinegocios a partir de dos frentes, el comercial y el industrial -- Se hizo una breve reseña sobre los conceptos de estructura organizacional desde diferentes perspectivas y un análisis del mismo en artículos de revistas especializadas (journals) del área de business and management del Scimago journal and country Rank -- Por último, los hallazgos de la investigación le permitirán al lector entender la estructura adoptada por Leonisa, en la que no existe un centro corporativo reconocido con una estructura fija, una nómina constituida y una sede física; sin embargo, se volvió una empresa multinegocios con una integración vertical hacia adelante y atrás, administrada a través de una estructura multidivisional en la que el centro corporativo se conforma en momentos específicos, de acuerdo con la necesidad de la organización

    Caracterización del Centro Corporativo del Grupo EPM

    This paper describes the purpose, form and functions adopted by the EPM Group Corporate Center, a leading Colombian company in the public services sector, analyzing its way of acting and contrasting it with the existing theory -- In the strategic management literature, there are researches that provide a perspective of the forms and functions used by corporate centers, but these studies provide limited information on Colombian companies -- This qualitative study that contributes to the knowledge on corporate strategy is based on data from reports made about the EPM Group and interviews with some of its executives -- The results indicate that the EPM Group Corporate Center is integrated into its parent company with functions related to strategy, capital, control, capabilities and identity -- It operates generating value on two intervention schemes: 1) strategic architect, where the business units are responsible for the results and the value is created by the individual companies; and 2) operational involvement, where the value is generated by the expertise of the Corporate Center and it establishes strategic plans and exerts greater control over them

    Currently, the shared service centers are being a trend in our country, multinational companies have brought their operational processes in order to, standardize, generate efficiencies and above all, obtain cost savings. In our research, we reviewed the characterization of SCC and also analyzed how the financial function has become the most common to be implemented in them. Through surveys, we collect information to understand the perception of users of the financial area in SCC and thus, to identify positive and negative aspects of this organizational strategy.

    Now days businesses can’t afford to sit still, as a globalized world allows only solid and strong companies to endure over time, and those that lack competitiveness are doomed to be left behind. That said, we believe how crucial it is for businesses to stay in line and innovate on every aspect, ranging from new product creation to improvement on processes. It is not enough to believe that having an idea it’s all it takes to succeed, whether that idea means building a company from scratch, or the implementation of a brand-new project in an existing company. The ability to execute, translate and transmit these ideas is essential, to say the least, for the company or project to make its way to success. Ruta N Medellín, an innovation corporation, advices local entrepreneurs in accomplishing and sorting different obstacles throughout the early stages of entrepreneurship, simmingly contributing to the development of Antioquia society, and to the development of the city through the solution of its challenges.

    Comparativo del Dream Team en equipos comerciales de dos empresas latinoamericanas : un acercamiento hacia el desarrollo de alto desempeño comercial

    Research question: What differences are there between high-performance commercial teams and commercial teams with the highest development potential in two Latin American companies: Dentaid Laboratories and SuperGiros? Objective: To compare the commercial equipment with better performance versus equipment with more improvement opportunities of two Latin American companies: Dentaid Laboratories and SuperGiros. Method: Qualitative research method, under the dream team methodology, in which it was sought to compare data from two commercial teams of the Latin American companies Dentaid and SuperGiros, to find similarities and differences among them. The Cattell 16 PF personality test and the McClelland questionnaire were used as data collection tools. Results: The present research work shows that the type of commercial activity and the economic sectors of the companies go hand in hand with defined types or personality traits, for which similarity was found between the members of each company, as well differences between in their motivational profile.     Condiciones básicas de integración y articulación para una red integrada de servicios en salud en la ciudad de Medellín

    This research uses a poll to administrative personal and patients as the main tool to stablish the basic conditions and parameters to take in consideration during the assembly of an Integrated Health Service Network. The results obtained show that the Network must have no more than 5 health providers institutions and less than 200.000 patients affiliated; this network should attend the unfulfilled needs of the population in terms of access, pertinency, security and opportunity. The quality of the service and the operative efficiency must become the roadmap to determine the optimal objectives of performance and in consequence the distribution of the financial surplus of the network. The models of contracts vary among the different levels of complexity and have to be resolved before the initial configuration of the network.
