Publicación Análisis de prefactibilidad para la implementación de una nueva unidad de negocio en Ci Iblu S.A.S. : exportación de productos maderables a Estados Unidos(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Villegas Rojas, María Camila; Polo Vargas, Sara; Henao Arango, María CeciliaThis feasibility study evaluates the potential for establishing a new business unit dedicated to exporting wood products for architectural finishes to the construction sector in the United States, specifically targeting the state of Florida. The analysis investigates the logistical, technical, and financial capabilities of the company CI IBLU S.A.S. and assesses the market conditions in the United States for wood products like choibá, known for its use in architectural finishes, particularly in humid outdoor environments. The methodology follows the ONUDI guidelines for project evaluation. The study examines several key areas: the economic and environmental, the construction sector in Florida, the competition from imported woods, notably from Brazil, and the operational capacity of CI IBLU S.A.S. in Colombia. It also addresses logistical, legal, and environmental considerations relevant to exporting these products. The findings suggest that CI IBLU S.A.S. could capitalize on the devaluation of the Colombian peso and the increasing demand for such wood products in the U.S. market. However, the company must navigate competition from established exporters like Brazil. To successfully enter this market, implementing a strategy focused on differentiation and price competitiveness will be crucial.Ítem Evaluación de prefactibilidad de una empresa de diseño y construcción de casas de madera en Medellín y Área Metropolitana utilizando metodología Onudi(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Díaz Valbuena, Libia Rocío; Henao Arango, María CeciliaIn Colombia, the construction sector stands out as one of the most profitable and secure for investment within the country. Additionally, it is one of the sectors that generates the most employment, drives other sectors, and presents lower risk. The industry's expansion has increased the demand for infrastructure, especially due to the growth in major cities. This has turned rural areas into suitable places for establishing country estates or rural communities, leading the population of Medellin and its metropolitan area to move, and making investment in countryside housing infrastructure increasingly attractive. The study conducted aimed to determine the feasibility of a project focused on the design and construction of wooden country houses in the eastern region of Antioquia and the metropolitan area of Medellin. Within this study, the viability of the mentioned company was assessed using the UNIDO methodology. Through the proposed studies (sectoral, market, technical, legal, administrative, financial, and risk analyses), data was collected with the objective of determining whether it is appropriate to invest in this project and carry it out.Ítem Informalidad e ilegalidad en la explotación del oro y la madera en Antioquia(Universidad EAFIT, 2012-04-01) Giraldo Ramírez, Jorge; Muñoz Mora Juan Carlos; Medellín, abril de 2012, Centro de Análisis Político - Universidad EAFIT, Proantioquia; Fundación para el progreso de Antioquia - Proantioquia; Universidad EAFIT.
