Análisis de la movilidad social en Colombia durante las últimas dos décadas
(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Mejía Molina, Cristian Alexander; García Montoya, Juan Camilo; Goda, Thomas
This research is based on the realization of a social mobility index through intergenerational education, understood as that which associates the educational level of a current generation with its immediately preceding generation. This is justified by the reality that Colombia is currently experiencing in terms of inequality and poverty, being the second most unequal country in Latin America, as measured by the Gini coefficient. Through the following work, the behavior of such social mobility in the different regions of the country was analyzed, in addition to a differentiation by education quantiles, which allowed identifying characteristics of each population group. In general, it is found that social mobility in Colombia is low, however, it has improved in the last decade, and the need for a longitudinal survey is also mentioned, which would allow to better capture this phenomenon, since the current methodologies have many limitations.

Public transport systems in Colombia have in recent years been a structural axis within the National Development Plan (PND); seeking to have quality and sustainable transport systems ("Quality public transport, with affordable rates and safer, challenge in urban mobility of the PND 2018-2022, in PDN, 2019). For Risaralda, the PND 2014-2018, includes visionary projects such as the Integrated Regional Transport System for the Coffee Region, contributing to the growth of the region and the improvement of the environment, and within this is cable-car-type aerial cable transport. This work proposes to carry out an analysis of the financing methods of the Public Reference Project (PPR) and the Public-Private Association (APP) for this transport project in the city of Pereira. The methodology to be used for its execution is by means of a Public Private Comparator (CPP), estimating total net costs and determining the Value for Money (VpD) by analyzing the results obtained; establishing the efficient method, making them sustainable over time and contemplating responsibilities such as those entailed in the administration and maintenance of this type of transport.

The present document will study the incursion of the collaborative economy in the passenger transport in Colombia, and if this form of competitions is a way of an unfair competition. Platforms like Uber, Cabify and Didi are competing in a sector of the economy monopolized by taxis who are subjected to some special rules they must comply with in order to operate in Colombia. Which is why it is important the debate as to whether Uber, Cabify or Didi should be benefited with the principle of freedom to provide services and innovation or whether they are included in the transport sector and should abide by the rules the taxis have to work with.

Modelo de negocio para la distribución del servicio de renting de vehículos en Medellín
(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Robledo Perdomo, Esteban; Restrepo Díaz , David Alejandro; Uribe de Correa, Beatriz Amparo
The vehicle rental sector has grown considerably in Colombia as a comprehensive proposal that covers the needs of people, companies and society in the financial and environmental fields and in the field of mobility, among others. It is a global trend of consumption that consists of paying for the use of certain products and services regardless of the property on them, and it is on this characteristic that the potential for the development of rent is found in a country in which property over things have more relevance. In this sense, it is essential to create penetration strategies for the Colombian market, understand the characteristics of consumers, their attributes and expectations, and implement value proposals for their distribution that cover the needs for alternative mobilization to ownership of vehicles. This work presents the stages in which a business model was developed to implement a rental distribution channel in Medellín, which connects the demand and supply of vehicle leasing services and contributes to the development of the sector and the generation of value for people, companies and society.

Transporte público masivo para generar un modelo de ciudad región sostenible en Colombia
(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Martínez Ruiz, Juan Esteban; Agudelo Ospina, Jhon Jairo
The Integrated Mass Transportation Systems (SITM) and the Strategic Transportation Systems (SETP) constitute a decided commitment of the National Government and local governments to achieve positive impacts from the social, environmental and economic point of view and generate a sustainability model in cities and / or metropolitan regions. The execution of these projects requires complex management schemes and a strong articulation of actors and interests of the National and Municipal order, of the public and private sectors that allow compliance with the schedules and investments in order to achieve the objectives set for each of the Transportation Systems. The strong and rapid increase in private motorization in developing countries requires efficient and rapid solutions in public transport that counteract the negative externalities caused by mobility in terms of congestion, air quality, travel times, security roads, accessibility, coverage, technological obsolescence and deficiencies and non-compliance in the development of infrastructure. Cities and / or Metropolitan areas require state-of-the-art transportation systems that achieve more sustainable cities and impact the quality of life of the inhabitants. Implementing the visions and plans for sustainable urban mobility depends on the existence of forms of governance that support and promote this vision.
