The textile-confections sectors are one of the most representatives in the World industry. So it is, because its features, especially sensitive to any economic, political, social or cultural change. This sensitivity is specially noticeable in the developing countries that, with lower yield, inferior technology and capacity and a poorer productivity must face a competence more complex every day, and almost inexistent regulation for the foreign product's income and, as a consequence, a helpless internal industry. The objective of this paper is to analyze how one of the associability programs applied in the world and adapted by the association for the Colombian association for the small Industry (ACOPI) for its acronym in Spanish) named Programs for Entrepreneurial sectorial Development (PRODES), has permitted to small and medium size enterprises of the textile-confection sector to defy the market conditions and improve its competitive performance. Associability among enterprises, government, private agents, productive sectors and research groups is a strategy that allows the economic units to make synergies and collective commitments to pursue a common goal.

(Universidad EAFIT, 2018) Barrionuevo Yungan, María Adela; Gómez Valencia, Víctor Hugo; Ríos Arias, Diana Clemencia
Venture Capital "is a form of investment that has shown a boom in recent years, not only in developed countries, but has been consolidating in emerging countries such as Colombia" (Unit for Analysis of Financial Markets UAMF, 2015, page 1), being promoters of important projects that contribute to the economic development of the countries -- This form of financing, which currently forms an industry and has a large participation in the economy of several countries and particularly in Colombia, is key to economic and social development, since it reaches sectors where other traditional mechanisms to obtain resources such as banking sector and other entities that can issue microloans do not access -- Therefore, in this article, we will analyze the potential that microenterprises in the city of Pereira may have to obtain leverage under this modality, identifying microenterprises with one year of registration before the Chamber of Commerce and needs that they present and that can be corrected through the VC, as well as the requirements and stages for participation in VC through a financial strategy, as a way to contribute to the sustainability and growth of medium and small businesses in the city of Pereira, positively impacting one of the biggest restrictions that the companies of this sector have in the city

The competitions and the productivity are key points in the structural transformation of the power and production relations of systems and they are part of a new society's dynamic. This leads to a substantial modification in the policies of total development between the State (Since the Institutions), government (since the policies), real sector (since the need of financial support) and since the financial system (since the necessary conditions to generate productive entrepreneurial projects). This paper's goal is to analyze the competitive conditions of the technology-based Small and Mis-size Enterprises in Medellín-Aburrá Valley in the period 1995-2005.

This prefeasibility study pretends to analyze the viability of starting a business for production and commercialization by digital media of sportswear (or athleisure) for men and women. To determine the viability or not of the project, first a problem statement was made that consists of analyzing how in the last 30 years there has been a trend in people to implement healthy lifestyle habits in their routines, accompanied by changes in fashion that have allowed the use of athleisure to evolve into part of daily clothing. These trends are replicated in Colombia and, in general, in Latin America, which suggests that there is a space for growth in the athleisure market that could be interesting. Then, the general objective was to determine the viability of starting an athleisure company that sells its products by digital media, accompanied by specific objectives that help define the viability of the project. To achieve the objectives, several studies were carried out. First, a study of the environment and sector, using the PESTEL Analysis tool and Porter's 5 Forces. Then, a market study was made, through the analysis of Product, Price, Place and Promotion of 4 types of sportswear products (2 male and 2 female). Next, a technical study was carried out where aspects such as the location, size and engineering of the project are analyzed. Based on these three studies, the organizational aspects of the project were defined, such as its business structure, positions and functions, salary budgets and legal aspects for the creation of a company. Finally, a financial evaluation of the project was made based on all the previous analyzes and the viability of the project was determined.

Impacto de la relación de las habilidades gerenciales y las variables financieras en la rentabilidad operativa : análisis para una muestra de mipymes colombianas
(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Salazar Duque, Juan Victor; Morales Isaza, Sergio Andrés; Saavedra Caballero, Fabiola
This research aims to create, from a multiple linear regression model, an empirical contribution to determine how the characteristics and skills of managers, in addition to the financial variables traditionally used, relate to and impact the profitability and sustainability of micro, small and medium-sized companies in the Colombian context. To achieve this objective, we used the financial and managerial information of 2016 of 35 Colombian MiPymes companies from different economic sectors; 25 financial ratios were calculated through the financial statements, 10 management skills were measured through surveys and 10 characterization variables were defined related to each company and its manager to be used as independent variables in a multiple linear regression model using the EBITDA margin as a dependent variable in order to represent the profitability and sustainability of these companies. It was found that some characteristic variables of the managers and senior managers of the companies, such as their self-confidence, their affinity to face new challenges, their role, among others, significantly affect the behavior of the EBITDA Margin, demonstrating that there is a relationship between the way these managers make decisions and the performance of the company.
