Determine how the practices of transformational leadership, collaborative work and interpersonal relationships in administrative and academic employees of a private university in Bogotá are characterized and related to each other. Framework of conceptual references. Transformational leadership is addressed in terms of its effect on work teams, as well as the practices that facilitate collaborative work and group dynamics involved in the interpersonal relationships of organizations. Method. For this research, the main source of information was the results of a quantitative descriptive survey applied to all the academic units of the university, with which it was intended to establish the perception they have about the work climate (Páez, Uesseler, Arias , & Méndez, 2017). Three factors were extracted from this instrument: leadership practices, collaborative work and interpersonal relationships, as well as its subcategories. Regarding time, it is a cross-sectional study where sampling was by voluntary participation. There were 2619 men and women over 18 years of age corresponding to 87% of the total population, with teaching and administrative positions. Results The results reveal present leadership practices valued very favorably, as well as important evidences of collaborative work and the presence of positive interpersonal relationships. Significant correlations were also found between the leadership practices and the evaluated team performance measures. The leadership practices in this case are significantly associated with the variables of collaborative work (r = .676, p <0.01), and interpersonal relationships (r = .715, p <0.01). The results also reveal significant high correlations between collaborative work and interpersonal relationships (r = .835, p <0.01). Conclusions The findings allow us to conclude that transformational leadership practices are present in the institution in the leaders of the organization that are valued positively. Likewise, in the work teams are clearly established dynamics that favor collaborative work and interpersonal relationships. With respect to the research question, a moderate correlation was found between leadership practices and their impact on collaborative work and interpersonal relationships. Likewise, a high correlation was found between collaborative work and interpersonal relationships.Ítem Relación entre liderazgo y desempeño de directivos y docentes desde su percepción en la facultad de ciencias e ingeniería (FCIN) de una institución de educación superior privada(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Bernal Peláez, Carlos Enrique; Andrade Jaramillo, Verónica; Giraldo Hernández, Gina María
