Taking several archive orders issued by the Attorney General's Office (Medellín Branch) as a case study, the reflections presented here propose a theoretical and practical view focused on the right to understand. It is argued that the clarity of the language is not a secondary element, but an essential guarantee for the effective enjoyment of other more developed constitutional rights, such as access to justice and information.
